I liked when Jack found out that the robot dog worked and that there were a bunch of other toys. Billy and another person named Rebecca came to buy something. Billy didn't buy anything because she didn't have enough money but Rebecca bought a robot dog for $7 but it was supposed to be for $10.

16 - Sally Rippin, “Hey Jack! The Toy Sale” (Richmond, Victoria, Aust: Hardie Grant Egmont, 2014).
Excellent story that brings to light a common scenario experienced by most kids. This book prompted a lengthy robust discussion about handling this predicament with integrity. Good job, Ms Rippin.
“'I can give you two of these Lego men for half price,' Jack suggests.” (p20)
“But for some reason Jack feels strange. He is not really sure he wanted to sell that robot dog.” (p25)

MY son loves this series. This is the second time that we will be reading the books.

Like other books in the series, there is always an element of the emotions that are felt within the journey of being a child.

Insightful, at times funny and always a pleasure to read.

Highly recommended.
