Join Paddler and his 13 year old son Spotted Bear as they hike the 2200 mile Appalachian Trail from Georgia to Maine. More than 350 pages of pre-hike planning, execution, keys to success, and the daily journals for both Paddler and his son are included. Bonus chapters bring you a sample of Tim's creative writing talent as well, as he introduces you to the mythology of the Cherokee Ugalu, and the Penobscot Pamola, two spirit-beasts that haunt the Appalachian Mountains. These are also available in the stand-alone short story book, Appalachian Trail The Ugalu and Pamola.
It was somewhat helpful as I plan on hiking a section of the Appalachian trail. Many repeated things, I know some was for emphasis. I guess my only suggestion would be to add more day-to-day details. Instead of saying "after chores..." describe what the chores where.
Audio book of his travel logs were good, lots of interesting information and I liked the reader. The son's journal was boring and I didn't really like the stories at the end.
