A curvy woman who's alone at Christmas + a hard-working bear shifter who needs to get in touch with his animal side + a cozy cabin in the middle of nowhere = a red-hot holiday romance!
This Christmas has been more naughty than nice for Hazel Granger. Her now very much ex-boyfriend stood her up for the vacation she’d painstakingly planned, leaving her all alone over the holiday season. But after getting lost in a snow storm, Hazel finds her way to the cabin of the most handsome man she’s ever seen in her entire life… but can she trust him after being burned once before?
From the moment he comes home to find her sleeping on his couch, Del Richardson recognizes Hazel as his fated mate. He knows she’s the only one for him, but how can he tell her there’s a surprise inside this parcel: that he can turn into an enormous grizzly bear!
The snow outside is heavy, but that doesn’t stop Hazel and Del from steaming things up inside. If only Del can find a way to reveal the truth, and make this Christmas truly naughty… in all the right ways.
The Bear Comes Home For Christmas is a short and sweet standalone Christmas treat BBW bear shifter romance. No cliffhangers!
Zoe Chant loves writing paranormal romance. Over a cup of tea (or something stronger) she whips up sexy tales of hunky heroes and adventurous heroines to tantalize and satisfy her readers. Sizzling hot romance, no cliffhangers!
While series should ideally be read in order, all of Zoe’s books are standalones and can be read in any order. This includes books within series.
After being stood up by her boyfriend, now ex, Hazel decided to continue with her vacation and stay at the cabin she rented. She gets stuck in the snow and finds Del's cabin. Taking shelter there, she meets Del and forms a connection with him. He is a shifter and recognizes his Mate. I felt the inst-love worked in this case b/c of the paranormal element (Del is a bear shifter). I liked both characters, both are workaholics, and focus on making their communities better. Good pacing, I enjoyed this quick read.
This story did not disappoint. A busy business man that finally finds time to reconnect with his bear. And a lovely woman, inside and out, that has had her heart crush just in time for Christmas. Finding eachother wasn't planned, but higher powers have something special in mind for these two...discovering a Christmas miracle of a happily ever after mate for the grizzly bear!

Before he could tell truth a Hugh bear shows up and ends up shiting and fighting and protecting her. Finally explains, she scared ask for space, gets her to cabin she rented and after a night apart realizes shes meant to be with him.
Bear shifter Del is on vacation. Social worker Hazel is on her first vacation in four years. Or she would be if she hadn't crash her car during blizzard whiteout conditions. But fortunately Hazel's found a warm, safe place to stay until the weather clears...Del's cabin. And the bear's just found a beautiful human asleep on his couch. Boy, does she smell good!
This is a romantic, quick read about two souls who just might find the home that they had been missing this Christmas.
Hazel is driving in a snow storm to get to a cabin she rented. For her and her now ex-boyfriend. She runs off the road and walks towards the lights she saw. Del is a bear shifter and is coming back to his cabin. When he enters he finds Hazel asleep on his couch. The fun and adventure starts her. So much fun to read.
A sweet Christmas time themed KU read. Common plot of holidaying alone as now ex-boyfriend is a jerk, has car accident in snow, finds cabin occupied by hunky shifter. Bit of a hiccup when his bear has to surprisingly come out in protective situation before he has to,d heroine. What I liked was this flowed well, no silliness and characters were believable. Loved the epilogue.
Hazel Granger human is caught up in blizzard of snow storm, going to her Christmas Vacation rental cabin. She find herself in a ditch not far from cabins rental are. Hazel see a light of a cabin, and off she goes. Del Richardson a Bear Shifter is heading home in his Bear Shifter form. To his surprise he see a beauty sleeping on his couch.
The Bear Comes Home For Christmas is a must read if you're looking for a great HEA. The characters draw you in and make you care about what happens in their world. If you're like me you can't wait to see how it ends and then go back and reread special parts. Enjoy!
The bear comes home for Christmas by Zoe Chant is another great standalone story of which a bear shifter meets his mate. Hot intimacy moments and just a quick read of how the pair meet. Great ending yet
This is a short, short, short story. Simple plot with minimal character development-if you just want a very quick mindless read, heavy on sex this is the book for you.
Setting: Somewhere in the mountains (I don't know what range) Genre: Shifter BBW romantic erotica
Hazel was supposed to spend Christmas vacation with her boyfriend, Charlie, but when she arrived at the destination airport where they were to meet, she had a message from Charlie saying he couldn't make it. Letting her down wasn't new behavior from him, but this is the last straw. She calls and breaks up with him and, not wanting to spend Christmas in the airport lounge, she checks out her reserved rental car and heads into the mountains - despite the forecast for blizzard conditions. And blizzard it does! And because visibility is so bad, she drives off the road and down a hill. She finds Del's cabin in her trek through the snow for help. Del is a bear shifter and a giant in the IT industry. After years of long days, working weekends, and no breaks, his assistant pretty much forces him to take a vacation. He decides to go to the cabin he grew up in (that he bought once successful). After a bear-run, he finds Goldilocks asleep on his couch. He recognizes Hazel as his and insta-lust. Of course there are a couple of issues to iron out, though they don't add much tension to the story.
The plot, while not unique, is okay. The characters are a bit one dimensional - even the conflict in the plot doesn't offer any depth to their personalities. I gave it 3 stars because it is well-written as far as grammar and usage go.
I do have a problem with the whole BBW trope. I mean, if the woman's size doesn't play a part in the plot, what does it matter? And it doesn't say what size. Am I supposed to imagine an average height woman in size 26 pants? Or size 12, which is huge compared to my sister's size 4? Size is relative, and one person's imagined BBW will be different from someone else's, and since I'm a very visual person, I want to know what the author means by the description of "curvy". When I read that word, I am seeing an hourglass like Sofia Loren. Should I, in my mind's eye, be seeing Adele? My friend Cindi who is 5'4" and wears size XXXX t-shirts? I don't know. When I read, unless a heroine is described with a waist a man can put his hands around, I usually imagine a size 10-12 woman of average height. Is that BBW?
Another issue I have with BBW novels in general is that many seem to be more sex than story. I mean, this one could easily have been a short story/novella if even 50% of the sex had been edited out. And really, how many ways can a couple having sex be described and it still be interesting? After the first or second encounter, the rest is gratuitous and boring. How many times must a man's "member" (or whatever nomenclature an author chooses) be described? I think I can remember the velvet covered steel (or however depicted) erection from the first time it bounces out of a man's pants. And the sloppy condition of the woman's panties? I'd be happier with the first encounter being well described and all the other gratuitous sex being less so. Not exactly kiss-and-fade-to-black like in old movies, but not how explicitly delineated erect nipples and wet panties are needed?
You may wonder, with the complaints above, why I read BBW shifter romance novels. Well, I like shifters, and I like romance, and I like female protagonists who don't meet Hollywood standards (really, if Jennifer Lawrence is considered fat...) But plus-size women don't require erotica to identify with the heroine.
Now that was a nice, cathartic rant! I feel quite comfortable doing it because very few people get past the rating and to the review. But if you did and you read to this far, thanks for letting me get it off my (plus size) chest.
Overall, this is a pretty good book, and an okay way to spend some down time.
Hazel was taking a well deserved vacation over Christmas. It was supposed to be shared with her no good, cheap boyfriend… make that ex-boyfriend since he blew her off and she rightfully dumped him. Now she’s headed into the forest, along mountains roads in the middle of a blizzard. Okay, so maybe she should have stayed at the airport, but she wanted… needed to get to the rented cabin and just relax. No chance of relaxing any time soon in this weather. One moment the car was stuck in mud on the edge of the road, the next she was tumbling down a hillside. Thankfully unhurt she had a decision to make. Stay with the car and chance being buried under feet of snow… or walk to her rented cabin. A light relatively nearby that could be seen through the trees made her choice much easier.
Del had come home to his family’s isolated cabin in the woods. Sure it was tiny, but it was all they’d had when he was growing up and it was sold after his father’s death to pay off debts. He was grateful that his success in business made it possible to buy it back years later. But right now he was on vacation, the first one he’d actually taken in more years than he wanted to count. Letting his bear run free was the best present he could give himself. It felt amazing to just run without a care in the world. He’d held his bear in for too long but he’d not make that mistake again. Finally tired and hungry, Del headed for home, shifted and walked into the cabin… to find a beautiful woman asleep on his couch.
Hazel and Del give us a fun, sexy romance in The Bear Comes Home For Christmas. Just the right length for a quick read by your own fireplace. I enjoyed their story very much. If you’re looking for a short, sexy romance this holiday season, then this one should be on your reading wish list.
I read this story through my Kindle Unlimited subscription. For ten dollars a month you get access to thousands of really great stories across all genre, and the authors get paid for you reading the story through to the 100% mark. It’s a win-win. Probably the best 10 bucks I spend a month.
Title: The Bear Comes Home For Christmas Release Date: #AlreadyReleased Author: Zoe Chant Reviewer: Ingrid Stephanie Jordan Genre: #PRN #BearShifters My Score: #5Stars☆☆☆☆☆ ♡¤▪♡¤▪♡¤▪♡¤▪♡¤▪♡¤▪♡¤▪♡ How many Christmas stories did this lady write, wow here is another one and it is a blockbuster also. I'm a fool for Christmas story you will be to when you read it you'll see. Phenomenal ! Hazel Granger hasn't taken a vacation in a very long time so she finally decided to take a vacation with her boyfriend but Charlie is flaky and never got on the plane to meet Hazel so he is now an ex. Getting her rented car she decides to drive to the cabin they rented, only a blizzard started that became a hazzard, when she got stuck. Seeing a light she walked towards it, no one was home so she fell asleep. Waking up to the most perfect looking man she has ever seen in her life. Yep pinch her she must be dreaming. Del Richardson s a Bear Shifter who hasn’t been to his cabin in forever let alone shift into bear form having fun in the woods. His mom sold it when his dad passed away so that she could make ends meet with all the debt. Going into his own business and he started to make money for himself he bought the cabin back. He did need this vacation, he didn't realize it until he was there he's so glad his assistant told him to go then he was on his way back to his cabin he started smelling something what was it it was just the best scent he's ever smelt it was making his mouth water plus he was hard yep, something was going down. A copy of this book was provided to me with no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read this book and my comments here are my honest opinion.
A female social worker an a IT computer CEO find themselves drawn together for the holidays .
A bear comes across a scent that he's drawn to when he reaches his destination he realizes it's coming from his home he enters quietly an spots a woman asleep on his sofa an he knows he's found his mate . He wonders how she got there an where she came from with the blizzard upon them in the middle of no where. 18+
Hazel and Del sitting in the snow----ok not quite but snow does play alot in the storyline. The love affair that develops between these two (a human woman and a bear shifter) is cute and occasionally froth with anxiety. Poor Del is so socially awkward due to being a workaholic that he is hard pressed to get his bear to behave once his bear has gotten a whiff of Hazel....This is a cute holiday story book that shows love can win even if people/shifters try to get in their own way.
