Leaving Sinful
Amid fears of her location being compromised, Fortune is extricated from Sinful in the middle of the night, and relocated to a 55-plus trailer park in the Arizona desert, where she is to pose as the niece of recently deceased Olive, a woman many there think was murdered.
Harrison gives her one order: Under no circumstances should she have any contact with anyone back in Sinful.

Its ok
This story is ok but not in the same class as Jana Deleon's Miss fortune. Sorry but try as I might, didn't care for it.

Dutchman's gold in Superstition Mountain - real or fake?
Fortune gets relocated to Arizona after a phony mole report that Ahmad was onto her in Sinful. She is supposed to be Olive's niece who died and she was supposed to be clearing her trailer. It turns out Olive was murdered for a supposed map to a treasure. Ida Belle and Gertie come out to help her solve the mystery. Fortune gets a call from Harrison that the Ahmad threat was a hoax and they needed to get out since the real niece was due to arrive in an hour. They quickly go over to their biggest lead to solve the murder and give the evidence to the 3 amigas so they can leave before the real niece arrives.

Good read
This book did a good job sticking to the interactions that Fortune , Gertie and Ida Belle would have of Jana wrote it. I like that the story takes place outside of Sinful and allows an outside story to evolve. It made sense why and how they arrived there. The only thing that kept me from giving it a five star was it did not have that bust out laughing scenes that are in Jana's stories . It did make me smile though. It's a good read. If your a Fortune fan it's worth the time.

Somewhat disappointing
Of the stories in the series, this is, by far, my least favorite. All three of the main characters act far out of character from the originals. A little deviation would be acceptable, but this much makes them seem to be poor impersonators. Fortune seems very incompetent for a trained assassin. Bertie and Ida Belle are much brassier than the originals and a lot less likeable. The story, itself, would be fine using original characters. I'm not saying you won't enjoy the books, just set your expectations lower.

Way too short, but will do in a pinch.
Interesting premise, but the novella length was just way too short to do this idea justice. The mystery of Olive and her treasure map really was a great idea, and I found Fortune feeling like a fish out of water in a desert trailer park so amusing that I really tried to enjoy this.
Don’t get me wrong, there are some super funny moments, like the melatonin mixup, but it just couldn’t compensate for the rushed pacing. Left me feeling disappointed, which is annoying because I adore Fortune, Ida Belle and Gertie.

Excellent addition to the Miss Fortune World!
I highly recommend this author's Miss Fortune books as they seamlessly fit into Jana DeLeon's series. Hearn's books are funny, sweet, action packed, and all around great reads. I'm looking forward to reading more from this creative writer. Enjoy!

Entertaining short story
Good plot for Swamp Team 3 outside their normal realm of people and places. Interesting characters and story. There were several places in this story that could have been expanded, like the poker game could have been a lot more fun, and made this into more of a novel

I’m in love with these stories
They are soooo much fun most upset I’ve only got one more to read. Absolutely brilliant and so captured the heart of Fortune and her cohorts. Really need a lot more of these wonderful books 💖💖💖

It is a joy reading Shari Hearn's "Miss Fortune" books. She sticks close to Jana Deleon's story line and is spot-on with the characters. There is always a good plot, and lots of mayhem included! These stories cause me to laugh out loud every time I read one!

So now they take a vacation to superstition and of course solve another crime .couldn't put this one down finished it at one sitting .apparently quirky old people can be found eveywhere

Great mystery
In this book Morrow gets information that Fortune may be compromised. He pulls her out and Harrison sets her up with a identity from his family. Turns out she was murdered and Gertie and Ida Belle go to help her solve the case. Shari Hearn is an awesome author.

WONDERFUL

Kudos to Shari Hearn for her clever idea to set this book in Arizona instead of Louisiana. It proved that while you can take the ladies out of Sinful, you can't as easily take Sinful out of the ladies. 'Leaving Sinful' was a fun, fast-paced adventure of a novella that I know fans of Swamp Team Three will enjoy.

Two star
First of all I must admit to having to listen to my books not reading them due to eyesight. This one kept putting me to sleep, sorry. It was written by a guest writer and the humor didn't stand up to the rest of the series. Very disappointing. The only time I laughed aloud was the confessional scenes.

Lightweight, but cute
Easy on the plot no new character development in our old friens and our new acquaintances aren't around long enough for us to care. But a good comfy read for a rainy afternoon.

Arizona will never recover
I was worried that the story line was moving out of Louisiana, but just for this story. I like that Jana Deleon lets other authors continue the story of Fortune and Sinful.

I really enjoyed this story. Seemed very true to the original series while adding its own unique stamp. Would definitely recommend to anyone who likes the original series.
