Author of Romantic Suspense with a Paranormal Twist

I can’t explain where my stories come from or why some paranormal aspect always seems to find its way inside my pages. But I can tell you that I find inspiration everywhere.

Among other genres, I enjoy a great romance novel, especially when it has lots of suspense-filled pages. And after reading any one of my novels, I believe you’ll be able to guess that I adore romantic comedies, which is why you’ll also find plenty of humor in my stories as well.

Once again, Salamon has written a book I couldn't put down! I have lost entirely too much sleep since starting it, but it was worth it. Salamon writes incredible characters that you just can't help but love. The additions to the cast in the second book in the series are fierce, well-drawn, and lovable. Julia, the main character, is badass but soft in the right places, and LaRoy was an unexpected and very welcome members of the team. The paranormal aspects were kicked up a notch in this book and it added some fun and intriguing elements to the story. Overall, I can't recommend this series enough for readers who like crime stories. It's satisfies on every level.

I read the first of Ms. Salamon's book in this series ... or perhaps I should say I devoured it - and couldn't wait for the second! Let me tell you, the wait was worth it - I was NOT disappointed. I am a huge fan of series like 'Cold Case' because I fall in love with the characters, especially when they are as well written and developed as those here - I LOVE to see how the author keeps the characters alive and growing, building their world and their relationships - hugely satisfying!! The characters Salamon writes are so real they yank you in and don't let you go!

One of the things I loved most about Book II in the Cold Case File Series is the introduction of new characters that kept the action going and growing!! Caden O'Connor, Alaina Reynolds and partner Brian Harper are still there as robust and well-developed as they were in the first book. Then, in walks agent Julia Scott, bringing to the team her very own 'ability' ... one that at times is surprising, at times unnerving - Julia had me on the edge of my seat!

Salamon's series just gets better and better - Julia is feisty, determined, strong and strong-willed. She's the best kind of heroine - supremely self-sufficient and one heck of a talented, well-trained fighter. Her ability is enough to make any sane person question what they see every day and the way she uses it makes it a super power of sorts. Julia uses this power and her grit to get herself and her deeply flawed, human and at times broken counterpart, Ethan McKenna, out of a series of tight spots - literally. And Ethan is just the kind of guy MADE for Julia: broken but imminently fixable, amazing eyes, strangely okay with her 'ability' ... and a chemistry that drives them (and the reader!!) crazy.

This story races at lightning speed and doesn’t stop - startling, jaw dropping and crazy good with an ending that’ll make your hair stand on end. Ms. Salamon has done it again! Another story so deftly written and well told it'll have you up till the wee hours trying to get to the end!!

Visual Contact, Book 2 in the Cold Case series, had me sitting at the edge of my seat! I was so enthralled with the leading characters, their story and how events unfolded, I couldn't put this book down. I didn't even realise the cat wanted to go out until she jumped up beside me and meowed loudly in my face to catch my attention. Talk about suspense! A great second part as a follow on to the first incredible book in the series! I am so thrilled there are more and as I have read the entire series already, I can promise you, it never gets old. Just get the lot and enjoy it. But make sure the cat and dog have had their stint outside because you might just forget what's going on around you...

I love a good strong female lead and Julia is al of this and more. I love the humor in Gina's books and this one definitely follows that line. There's a lot of suspense and drama, and of course suspense. Gina had me wondering 'who did it' until the very end! Grabbing the next one now!

I laughed out loud at Julia's antics. Loved the ghostly assistance she received as well as her paranormal ability. I've read all three of her series and enjoyed each one. Highly recommend!

This is the second book in the cold case series and while you can read it as a stand alone I highly recommend starting with the first book, sleepless. Julia is the main character and is a strong, sexy, independant woman. I love strong female characters and love them even more so when they are still femanine and have flaws. She has a different paranormal ability than Alaina but I won't leak it, I'll let you see for yourself. I love that the characters from the first book make an appearance and are a big part of the story but we still get a hit, fresh romance of our own. There's also an 'apperance' of a fun character in the paranormal realm and even Caden, who is in denial of all things paranormal, smells that something is amist. Join the tri-ccs squad as they solve another case. Gina keeps the book fast paced, keeps you guessing and keeps you turning the page for more. Can't wait for the next one.
