Loved this series. I actually love this author’s writing style though I wish she’d finish her series out like she did the silver series. The next book of this series was set out for February 2017. You need to complete these series and not leave your readers wondering to what happened. I still loved this book even though it ended in a cliffhanger. Hopefully, we’ll see what happened to Dr. Wolf.
A Dragon - of course. Things are just getting more difficult for Aleric. For the first time in his life, he feels like he has a place that he really fits in. Then Dr. Worthen fires him because he wasn't able to bring Lilian back right away. WE know it's a grieving father who spoke out (wrongfully, of course), but all Aleric heard was go away. So he throws himself away. Luckily he gets back to the hospital before he gets killed and they patch things up. He gets Lilian back and sadly, she's totally freaked. He learns that there are werewolves in Blays still. He steps into a Rift to go back and.... nothing. The book ends and there isn't another book. What happens??!!
Vampiress, Dragons and Giant Snakes Oh My! Yes, the rift is getting more and more serious. A gang in Edge City found a dragon egg. The only way to hatch it is with the blood of the rate vampiress. There just happens to be one Aleric had met and that saved his life. But when Lillian is kidnapped by the same gang, Aleric has to dance the line of the rift to save her. This was another great story from Ms. Alsop. The characters were already fleshed out during this series but we got to see a few different sides of all the characters. I don't have the fifth book yet, but it's first on my list!
Dr. Wolf has returned with even more bad news. A vampiress, a dragon and some bad people from his past have come back to hurt him. We get to catch up with the faun, the Grimm's, the banshee children and sweet Tranquility. So much happens in this book and you'll just have to read it to find out. It does end with a cliff hanger so I can't wait for book 5. Will Lillian look past his warewolfness and finally see how much he likes her? 5stars
Fast paced, the action really never lets up as we delve deeper into Aleric's past and what fuels him to continue his fight against the Dark fae who would tear Edge City apart. Both Aleric and Dartan have decent character development as does Dr. Worthen.
Edit: Dropped it to 1 star because 9 years later and there is nothing new and it ending on a cliffhanger.
I really enjoyed this series all about fantasy characters. I did not have to read sex scenes or cursing every other word. I can recommend this series to anyone who enjoys fantasy reads
I really like all of this author’s stories, though was somewhat confused as to why the afterword was for Demon Spiral when the book was Dragon’s Bayne. The ending certainly left poor Dr. Wolf hanging. Would have preferred a HEA.
