I love Lucia Jordan's stories, they are usually quick to read and get very heated from page one.
Lorilee is devastated by her fiancé leaving her, 3 weeks before their wedding of all things, for another man! She decided that the honeymoon is paid for and she will enjoy herself with some sun and spa services, but she will follow her rules, no dating, no men, no handsome men. But when she meets the assistant manager at the hotel, and sparks fly and ignite, she seems to forget her rules.
Great story, very quick to read, and it was awesome!

This was a short quick read from an author that I have read before when I am looking for a short hot read and this one was no exception. Lorilee’s life is left in shambles—no job, no home, no wedding. But with the honeymoon already paid for, she decides to use that time away to put the pieces of her life back together. This book was short and hot. This book was also well written with no errors in grammar or spelling.

A steamy read that unfortunately ends ... right in the middle of a love scene! Not a short story but more of a teaser since there is no satisfying HEA. But the tension between Tom and Lorilee is undeniable. This would be rather intriguing if fully developed.

Tom assistant Manager notices Lorilee from the moment she walked into his hotel. Ashton is working undercover to try & find out who is embezzling fund from this hotel location. Everything points that tropical paradise should be making money. Instead the reports shows it losing money & they need to close down. He has worked this business long enough to know something isn't right. So right now he is using his horrible step father's name to work as an Assistant Manager to find out what is going on. It's very hard for a CEO to Multi-million dollar business to take orders from others.
Ashton is there on business. He has no time for flings or romance. But what the ❤ heart wants. Lorilee was given the honeymoon from her ex who dumped a week before the wedding. But the jerk, not only ended their relationship, but he told her to move out & let her go from her job. Because it would be to awkward.
But he told her she could have the honeymoon. She first wasn't going. But he friend said she should take some time. Lorilee was wallowing in her sorrows & decided she would leave the next day. Until Tom convinced her to stay at least until the beach party. He would be her date for the evening.
Lorilee didn't expect she would have a fling with the Assistant Manager that night. Not only hot sex but the best sex ever.

I have been in a reading slump so I thought I would see if I was still into erotic novels and the answer is definitely no.
Perfect Pleasure is far from perfect and reads almost like a daddy-daughter role play situation which just made me want to vomit. The second the word cream was used, I knew this short story was not for me. Because this erotic novel reads very young, the sex scenes made no sense. Like how is he picking her entire body up with one finger?!?!?
Beware, there is also a fiancé leaves to be with a man trope in this story and it is done horribly.

Not a short storie
I got the book for free thinking good a nice short story. Well be aware ITS NOT. It part of a series. Author needs to redeem that for sure.
Besides that fact it's a nice little story that unfortunately ends before it starts. Enough heat emotions that let you keep reading. I am just missing the connection to the POVs. Its jumps to much one paragraph her the next him. It's a little to chaotic for my taste hence the one star less

Awesome, hot story. With an embezzlement mystery to boot! 😆
I almost gave this four stars ... but there was a scene towards the end where he snuck her off to a closet to have his way with her even though he knew her rules, and she’d agreed to help him out temporarily with accounting if he stuck by her rules (such as “no dating the boss”).
Then again, was what they were doing “dating”? 🤣

Perfect Pleasure - Lucia Jordan
For a super quick read, the book is pretty good, but it didn't do anything for me. Usually books like this at least make me feel something (the romance between the characters, the tension, the intense storyline, etc.), but this kind of bored me. I just wasn't super interested.

It was a fast, enjoyable read that I was not expecting to end in the middle of a spicy scene! Probably better as a short teaser, and I'm a little disappointed that this was my 50th book for the year, meeting my 2024 goal, when really it's not a book at all! But that seems like it was my fault for misunderstanding that it was just a snippet.

Picked this book for a quick read. Enjoyed the storyline of both characters. They both have relationship issues that hold them back in relationships, but are ready for a "fling". Will be reading the rest of the series to see what happens.

Good but broken up by 4 books- annoying cause I bought all then saw there was a “completed series” one. Sex parts were good but almost too much in certain sections because of the way the books are split up. Not enough fluff and ending was weak.
