When Faye Cox-Everett discovers that her wife of five years has been having an affair, her world slowly begins to crumble. She knows it will be a while before she can forgive her, but she's willing to try – for the sake of their marriage and their daughter.
However, it soon becomes clear that her wife, Nikki, isn't ready to give up her mistress just yet. What Faye initially thought was a fling, turns out to be more serious; more permanent.
Now she has to do the hardest thing she's ever had to Rebuild her life without the woman she loves.
Faye's Story is the second book in the Crave series, a 2-part lesbian drama.
**'In a series there are three elements: characters,a situation and the fact that in the end something has change..These series aren't what did happen. They are what could happen...'
4.5stars! Such a well written series -- did not want it to end. Highly recommended to everyone!
The sequel, and I get to spend time in Faye's head.
Thank you, Ms.Lowe for not letting Faye regrow her virginity as she suffers from Nikki's back to back betrayal by sending over a sexy swimmer who raises Faye's temperature between the sheets.
Thank you Ms.Lowe, for making Faye enjoy the moments with Melanie and not regretting anything.
Nikki, forgiven quite easily but her regrets are visible and sincere enough.
Longer than the previous book, great ending for a couple who is lucky to restrengthen their love. The worst thing that could happen in a marriage happened, unless they move into a haunted house and the spirit possesses Nikki's / Faye's body..
I preferred Faye's Story to the first one and the reason being that I was totally in support of Faye. This has a much greater sense of impending disaster with the same tension and pain. Faye has to come to terms with Nikki's leaving but it's never quite as simple as that.
It ended up being another thrilling read from Lowe.
I don't know what it is about Heidi Lowe's books, but I find them immensely readable.
One thing is for sure, cheating is not something most of us like to read about. And Lowe does a great job describing the absolute heartbreak MC Faye experiences when her wife of 6 years, up and leaves her for an old ex girlfriend. It literally blind sides her. Lowe's ability to convey Faye's emotional devastation is something to behold. I was riveted going through the emotions with Faye.
I won't give the ending away but it's certainly not the way I was hoping it would go but I guess some would say it was a HEA.
The grass is always greener on the other side right? Really? Well…It might just looked like it is but..No… Not always! Sometimes it’s rotten as hell! And good on you Faye! For a moment there I thought that Faye would just move-on with Melanie! But alas! The heart wants what the heart wants…. Even when it gone through hell and back.
Interesting and well-written. And the story really pushed my buttons
“It wouldn't matter now, anyway. It's too late; the damage has been done. She can't come back. Not now, not ever.” + • + • + • + K, so here it is… I woulda easily given this book four stars no question EXCEPT for the fact that I'm too frustrated over how everything turned out in the end. I know it was supposed to be a "happy ending" & what not, but was it really?? Not so much in my eyes—maybe it's just me feeling some kinda way— but that's for you to judge after you read it.
