The Eynan

Rate this book
When his dreams of marrying his beloved Gallia crumble to ash, Jhond of the House of Reeve knows he must leave home. Having grown up among the old legends of the time of magistry, he decides to follow the clues to find the fabled Temple of the Magi. On his journey there he meets up with Ninian who knows more than it first seems. Together they investigate the Temple and Ninian helps Jhond to realize the truth of his ability. Magistry is not simply a long past myth, it exists. Ninian is a mage – and so is Jhond.

It is only the beginning of their epic journey. They make new friends and dangerous enemies, become embroiled in a war of empires, encounter old loves and learn the value of forgiveness, while all the time Jhond is refining his skills as a mage.

Gradually all the pieces begin to draw together and Jhond learns he may be more than a simple mage, he might just be the answer to everyone’s prayers. He might be the much vaunted Eynan of long forgotten legend.

Hi there! I'm an author whose first mainstream book, the science fiction novel, QUESTOR, was published in April 2013 by Amber Quill Press. My second book, the fantasy novel, THE EYNAN, was released by my publisher in June 2013, and its sequel, THE EYNAN 2: GARILEON, which follows on from where the first book ended, was released on 1st June 2014!

I have been putting pen to paper, figuratively speaking, for most of my life but only in the last few years have I really pursued writing in a more serious manner, wanting to get my work published so others could read and hopefully appreciate it. I like to write in various genres, through science fiction, fantasy and historical are my favorites.

I really liked the story of The Eynan. It's an unusual book with interesting characters. The book tracks Jhond of Reeve and his development from a young and angry young man to becoming The Eynan, the most powerful man with magic at his fingertips. His mentor Ninian can't quite believe just how talented Jhond is.

L.S. Gibson has created a fantasy world with attractive personalities like the sailor captain, Amired. He's wonderful!
