Loved the unique premise for this story and location. The author's writing style needs maturing, however. The characters were not well developed and descriptions of most everything were lacking. And, why the tats, mentioned in so much detail in the beginning of the book and no mention at all later in the book. The book would have been good for a first attempt but this was not the first attempt for this author. Keep honing your craft, Dawn Carter, and congrats on the storyline.

An amazing story!
The search and discovery of two lovers and soulmates is tantalizing and fascinating. This story combines the ancient Egyptian world, romance, fantasy, mystery and tragic in a brilliant tale. It was exciting, intense and well written. It flows easily and with tension that keeps building until a very satisfying end. The author does an excellent job describing the places such as the stone tomb and the heat of the desert. Egypt came alive for me. I found it hard to put this book down and I highly recommend it.

4 stars. This was such a cool and unique story. I loved that it was romance that was between soulmates and how it transcended time. The whole thing of Spencer dreaming of Claire in a past life was really intriguing and well done. The transitions between past and present was smooth and the romance was really good. I liked the writing and how this was paced. I will say that I found the ending to be abrupt but other than that I thoroughly enjoyed it.
