If you're looking for another Maggie MacKay book that features silliness, wise cracks, violence and a little mayhem then this is the book for you. If however, you were hoping for a resolution to that horror of a cliff hanger from book 7 then look somewhere else. Maggie and Killian are as fun as ever, dropping jokes and smartass remarks throughout the whole book. There just aren't enough answers going around. Sure there are some answers but they're to questions I could have gone longer without being answered. Strangely, for the first time, Maggie and Killian's ability to blithely ignore everything that is actually going on in their personal lives and shove it aside with jokes doesn't work in this book. Its getting old and I just want them to figure some stuff out and then deal with the world ending.

Is that too much to ask from the next book?

Maggie Goes Medieval (Maggie MacKay Magical Tracker Book 8)

Another great addition to the Maggie MacKay book series!!! The Elf Queen is alive and well and plans to marry Killian. He wants nothing to do with that, so he and Maggie come up with an honest request, a one final mission, as why to put off the wedding! Maggie needs to find her Dad who has been turned into a statue, as well as said statue has been stolen. The story line involves Killian and Maggie running into all sorts of trouble in the Other World and on Earth. Once again we have Father Killarney and Xiaoming helping out in so many different ways. It actually gets pretty scary at one point in the story, where both men's lives are in serious peril. Lucifer the hell horse makes a few appearances and helps save their bacon from the fire, or sort of. There are twists and turns in the story and shocking revelations about who is behind all the trouble. They also discover that Graham isn't what they thought he was either!! The humor is once again out right hilarious throughout, especially the scene where Maggie and Killian are in a "bar" in WeHo. There are dragons, giants, nymphs, an ogre, fairies, castles, a medieval fair and a crazy King. Maggie's Mom gets a important part using her seer abilities, which I really enjoyed. Overall a great read and a surprising ending, making the next book a cant wait to see what Maggie and Killian are up to next!

These books are super fun and quick to read. I love the blend of brawling, foul mouthed, world walker and the always lovely Killian fighting to save the day. I could read 100 of these, especially right now.

We join Killian and Maggie right after the previous book. Killian is now engaged (kind of), Maggie's dad was supposed to be safe as a statue protected by dragons (but he's not), and for some reason it's all on Maggie to save the world (again). The evil elf lady is kind of on the back burner for this one, and instead we are tasked with another quest of sorts. It takes some really weird twists and turns (as usual) but we get a really fun ride.

It is really clear that these books are dying to be binge-read since they just pick up immediately after the previous one, so that's exactly what I'm going to do. I can't wait to see where Killian and Maggie end up next and cannot stop reading.

Another fun mess for Maggie, Killian and the “save the worlds” group!

Another fun read from Kate Danley. Maggie steps into it again and she and her crew have to save the worlds. Again. This book gives us appearances of the full MacKay family and some very interesting “aaaahhhh” moments about regular and somewhat regular characters we have come to know and love (and not). On to the next adventure for Maggie and Killian.

Woo - The M-Team are my favourite when they're all together. Loved having both Graham & Lucifer in this one and any time there is plenty of Xiaoming & Father Killarney I'm a happy bunny - gotta see some progress on Maggie & Killian soon... the will they/won't they is busting my chops!

Well, when given a chance, Killian will still hit on Maggie. It’s getting a tad predictable with some of the characters, but some will still surprise you.

Still a great series, and I enjoyed the plot development especially in terms of the series as a whole. I did feel that this book was a bit rushed. Aside from glaring editing mistakes, there was a startling lack of exposition. I'm not big on exposition. When a book starts dragging on and on because of description, I start skimming looking for dialogue to move things along. There were times in this book where it was like they were talking in a void. I don't need big descriptive paragraphs, but a little more detail in this book wouldn't have hurt.

Kate Danley has written another excellent Maggie book! I loved it! There is plenty of action, mystery and humor. Kate and Killian plus her Mom, Father Killarney and Xiaoming are off to rescue her dad who from the previous book is now a marble statue. We know that easy is not in her vocabulary but interesting is . You will encounter some old characters as well a some new one plus an interesting setting. Enjoy the story and I look forward to the next book!

"Maggie Goes Medieval" is the eighth novel in the "Maggie MacKay, Magical Tracker" series. The novel opens where we left off last time. The queen of the elves just announced that she plans on marrying Killian. To Maggie and crew's horror, the queen is still not 100% a-okay. One she's perfectly fine with forcing Killian to marry her, even though he doesn't want to. Two, she forgets to invite the dragons to her royal festivities, and three she's just acting a bit cray cray. But since Maggie still needs Killian to help her save her dad, she is able to get Killian a weekend pass to do so.
Well, things are never simple in Maggie's world, and neither is the plot line of this book. As always it was a very enjoyable read full of funny dialogue and complex situations. I look forward to reading book nine.

It took teamwork

This. Is book #8 of this series and every bit as good as the previous sever. Constant action with huge amounts of mystery. Some happy time ( few ) and excitement to the maximum. This series is quite good at taking your imagination beyond the book and you can put yourself in the story. Have fun and enjoy this book.
