Alex continues to keep his distance from Meredith. Isaiah finds himself imprisoned inside ‘The Church of the Second Coming.’ Dr. April Harrison meets others on her way back to Memphis. 3 1/2 stars. I feel pretty much the same as book 1-4. Very intriguing story marred by irritating writing style.

This series has a high addictive potential. You don't pick up this book because of a literary finesse, but just because you enjoy a survival apocalyptic story a la Walking Dead with many lgbt characters.

I am still liking this series very much. I like Kennedy's writing style. I have been listening to this series on audible, and am now eagerly awaiting book 6 to be released on audio.
This book has a large cast, including several lgbt characters. Its got everything, Zombies, survival drama, a seriously sinister bad guy, gore galore, a touch of paranormal, a little bit of humor and a little bit of romance.

Looking forward to the next part of the series. This is a story, chock full, of a plethora of characters...some in which you like, some you dislike, and some you're just not sure of. This begins where #4 ends and transitions for the next couple of weeks. I love Kennedy's writing style and because I am listening to the audio version, Michael Ahr is amazing and adds so much to the story. My favorite character has to be Beulah...a great read...
