Eliza Knight is an award winning, USA Today and international bestselling author. Her love of history began as a young girl when she traipsed the halls of Versailles and ran through the fields in Southern France. She can still remember standing before the great golden palace, and imagining what life must have been like. Growing up in the Washington, D.C. area, her weekends were filled with visits to museums, and historical reenactments. Escape into history for courageous heroines, irresistible heroes and daring escapades. Join Eliza (sometimes as E.) on riveting historical journeys that cross landscapes around the world. She is a member of the Historical Novel Society and Novelists, Inc., the creator of the popular historical blog, History Undressed, and a co-host on the History, Books and Wine podcast. Eliza also writes contemporary women's fiction as Michelle Brandon.

While not reading, writing or researching for her latest book, she tries to keep up with her three not-so-little children. In her spare time (if there is such a thing…) she likes daydreaming, wine-tasting, traveling, hiking, staring at the stars, watching movies, shopping and visiting with family and friends. She lives atop a small mountain with her own knight in shining armor, three princesses, two very naughty Newfies, and a turtle named Fish.

ANNOYING, since this is book 7 of a 7 book series that has one story arc, and this is the only one with no audiobook! The story concludes as the unravel why they have been time travelling.

Disappointed

I was excited to read this book because I really like this author but found I could not even finish the book. It started bad for me with the proofreading issues in the first chapter, tends to set the tone. Especially since there were many more.

The time travel was really bizarre, something about a scientist, really strange sex scenes.....I don't know the whole book just didn't work for me. It wasn't the typical highlander time travel I am used to.

All work out in the end

Moira was taken and the rest time travel to find her. We find out Steven came from the passed.
Searching for Moira they come across the queen giving birth to the twins. Emma and Logan went forward in time to deliver them to their guardian.
See how it all ends.

This story was bittersweet for me. I have loved this series from the beginning, it was actually the story that got me hooked on Ms Knights stories. I am happy to see the conclusion but am sad to see it end. The story is interesting and leaves the reader still wanting more. The part that I love the most is it had some unanswered aspects that allows the readers to fill in the blanks. (I can't say anything otherwise it would spoil the story). The story starts with Moira being kidnapped by the horrid Mrs MacDonald and then the group goes on a time traveling journey to bring her back.

This book, as with the rest of the series, is filled with sweet and steamy moments that will melt your e-reader. To fully understand this book you need to read all the stories in the series.
