I am a huge fan of Zondervan's Beautiful Word series (I own the original illustrated and coloring Bibles as well as the Devotional), so I could not wait to get my hands on the newest edition to the family - the Large Print Edition of the Beautiful Word Coloring Bible!
Except for the cover, which is now a beautiful watercolor floral navy cloth over board instead of a hardcover with a Bible verse beautifully rendered on the cover, the content and the illustrations are exactly the same: the only difference is that everything is bigger!
The font in the new edition is 10 font instead of 8 font. The pages are substantially larger, providing more room for coloring the images and for writing, note-taking and journaling.
The larger size also means that the newer Bible weighs more, which is a happy trade-off in my mind (I simply use my heavier Bibles at home) but I note it in case this is a consideration for you.
The Large Print Edition of the NIV Beautiful Word Coloring Bible is a welcome edition to this lovely line of Bibles. I definitely recommend it to you!

When I look for a Bible, I look for one that is not only easy to read, but one that is eye catching and pretty. The NIV Beautiful Word Coloring Bible is all that an more! I loved this book. When I opened it, the first thing that caught my eye was the beautiful clothlike feel to the cover. Very appealing, in my opinion. The next thing I liked about this Bible is that on the inside you find lots of places to color, doodle or write down your thoughts on the verses you're learning. Extremely nice aspect. As a person who loves to do some adult coloring books in her spare time, this makes reading the Bible a whole new experience, for sure. The final thing I loved about this Bible, is that it is in the easy to read NIV version. I definitely recommend this Bible, with all it's easy readability, it's fun pages and it's beautiful cover, to all those who love a fancy new Bible. Highly flying 5 stars, no question! This is a beautiful Bible! I love the outside cover with it's fabric feel and gorgeous leaves and flowers. That's just the beginning, though. There's so much to love with this Bible.
There are gorgeous drawings throughout the Bible to color in. These include full page artwork as well as margin artwork. Where there isn't artwork, you have the extra large margins that are lined for note taking. I am always writing notes in my Bible and it's so nice to have the extra huge space for doing that. It makes it really easy to refer back to your note because it's not written really tiny, as in my regular Bible, or in a squiggly line as you try to fit it all in. This makes my notes more concise and I find this very helpful.
Because this is a large print edition, it's super easy to read and easy on the eyes. I also like the paper it's printed on as it stands up to the highlighting I like to do. I tried highlighting in several areas with my Bible highlight markers and did not have any bleed-through. This is a huge plus for me. The NIV edition is so easy to understand so that's a real plus, too.
The only downside to this Bible is the heft of it. It's a hard back and, because it's large print, it's quite heavy. It's perfect for my Bible study area because I leave it there all the time, but I wouldn't want to carry it around. This may not be an issue for everyone but I wanted to let you know it's a heavy Bible.
All in all, I absolutely love this Bible! It's become my Bible I use for my devotions and my Bible journaling. I give it 5 out of 5 stars.

I have been seriously jonesing for a coloring Bible, so I was pretty excited when this Bible popped up for review!
I love the cloth-over-board style, and the floral with leaves pattern is beautiful! I just want to stare at it. And the pictures! I love them! Some are small and simple, while others are intricate designs that take up two pages! Most of them are popular verses with simple designs that are in the extra wide margins. However, everything from the lovely pictures to color to the font choice suit my personality quite nicely!
The text is large print, so no squinting! Unless you're like me, and you get really intense about your coloring! Haha! Pages without pictures are set up for journaling and notes in the margins. This Bible is a New International Translation (NIV).
I will note that this Bible is extra large. It surprised me when it arrived, but it shouldn't have. It's a coloring, journaling, large print Bible. Everything about that says, "I'm a big book!"

The Beautiful Word Coloring Bible, offers a unique way to engage with scripture. It is perfectly suited for those who appreciate both artistic expression and journaling. It arrives packaged in an easily wrapable box, making it giftable without much fuss. The Bible has a lovely pink faux-leather cover. It is a very usable Bible in that it can lie flat on a hard surface making it easy to both journal and color and it curves and bends comfortably on your lap during your quiet time.
The interior encourages active engagement with the text. You will find sufficient space to record thoughts and prayers with journaling lines at the side of each page. There are numerous pictures to color match the message of the Bible stories, which creates a visual connection to the scripture. Please note that the Bible features small print, which is typical of Bibles that have extra features. This is definitely an adult Bible intended for home-based study.
Overall, this is a premium, beautifully constructed tool for deepening one’s faith and knowledge through creativity and contemplation.

What is not to love about the NIV, Beautiful Word Coloring Bible? This is a great Bible for those people who like to jot notes in their Bible. The margins on most pages are very wide. Many have lines specifically for writing notes and other thoughts.
One really great thing about this Bible is that you can really experience the Bible by coloring in it. There are pages with line drawings designed for coloring. This helps the Christian to spend more time with their Coloring Bible.
This particular edition will lay flat on the desk. It comes with a book mark ribbon. There are also a good many explanations of Bible terms throughout this Bible.
The print is clear and crisp and would make a great gift for anyone who has a little trouble seeing normal print.
