This cookbook highlights the sunny cuisine of the Mediterranean region and features distinctive ingredients such as olive oil, pasta, cheese, wine, and fresh vegetables.
The essential ingredients of a good cookbook are delicious recipes, easy to follow instructions and mouth watering photographs that make you hungry and set your taste-buds tingling. This book has all three elements in abundance. Its a good size with 96 pages packed full of beautiful colour photographs featuring 50 meals from all corners of southern Europe's shoreline. The strong, shiny pages will wipe clean and forgive the chef who is careless, clumsy or drunk. Furthermore, they fold back flat for easy reference and do not require a precarious collection of kitchen utensils or the weight of the Encyclopedia Britannica to pin them down.
The instructions are given in a very straightforward, clear manner in which you are never left with missing stages of assumed knowledge that can leave you feeling ignorant or frustrated. Without a doubt, the book is an excellent way to brighten up a dark winter's day through gastronomic pleasure and to bring some summer Mediterranean sun to your dinner table.
It's one cookery book I recommend, it's enjoyable to read and extremely practical.
Simple but divine recipes from Spain, North Africa, France, Italy to Turkey. Have tried many of the recipes and must say all the dishes have turned out really well. A must have book in your kitchen if you are in exploring Mediterranean food.
People call our cuisine "the mediterranean cuisine" but to me it's the taste of home, we even call some dishes different names according to location and accent. This book has some good recipes and some new ones for me, so I can't wait to try some.
Well-organized with beautiful pictures and easy-to-follow recipes. Each chapter contains brief descriptions of the main ingredients used in the , history of the regions and modern, as well as traditional, use of the food products.
Lots of great recipes even for a vegetarian like me. I made the olive bread which turned out great (first time making bread) and it went fast! Will try making the focaccia bread next.
