This is a difficult review for me to write. However, I will not change how I feel about this book just because I got the book from the publisher.

Personally, I didn't like this book, and I really disliked the protagonist. One needs to read the entire book (and the first two books in the trilogy) to see why she is the way she is (timid, weepy, over-anxious to please, for me- annoying). This fact made this a challenging book for me to read. I understand that the Amish culture is different, but humans are humans, and I can't get over the guilt that this woman was allowed to carry and how it stunted her.

The author tried too hard and too obviously to pull on my heartstrings.

We don't fully understand why Rose is so withdrawn and nervous to the degree she is around others besides her family until this third book, and it was quite revealing. Josiah is the perfect match for her- endlessly patient, gentle and kind as he waits for her to be ready for his love. It was so sweet how he slowly develops a friendship with her, but her metal blocks prevent her from moving past her trauma and feelings of crippling guilt. Her aunt provides wisdom as Josiah learns the difference between sheltering Rose and supporting her. The suspense grows as the farm vandals grow bolder, and the climax brought more surprises and a resolution I didn't expect. This final book was more emotional and I loved the healing and empowerment Rose discovers within herself.

Ahh, sweet, shy Rose. Why is she so timid around everyone? That question is answered in the final book of the Honey Bee sisters. If you have read the previous books you know Josiah has had his eye on Rose but he isn’t sure how to court her. He doesn’t want to scare her away. Josiah starts helping Aunt Bitsy around the place more to see Rose as much as he can. Through his growing friendship with Aunt Bitsy he learns how to be more supportive to Rose than being overprotective. Soon love is blossoming.

In book three we also learn who is behind the vandalism at the Honey Bee sisters farm and why.

A sweet conclusion to the trilogy. Each book can be read as a standalone but would be so much better if read in order.

Like A Bee To Honey by Jennifer Beckstrand is the third and final book in the Honeybee Sisters series. It has been a fabulous trilogy and I am sad to see the end of it. Once again it can be read as a stand-alone but it is far better to read the books in order.
The exploits of the Honeybee sisters, their unconventional Aunt B and the cats - Farrah Fawcett, Billy Idol and Leonard Nimoy - delight the readers once more.
This novel focuses on Rose, the youngest and quietest sister. Rose is carrying a heavy burden. It's a burden that she refuses to share and it's root is in the past but it is affecting her present and has the potential to ruin her future. "No amount of wishing or even praying would change the past." Rose needs to hand her burden over to God and remember that Jesus has already gone to the cross for all our sins.
There is the theme of forgiveness in the novel. Forgiveness may be hard but it is essential. "He tried to be forgiving in his heart but it was hard." Unforgiveness can lead to bitterness and may motivate people to act in a way they later regret.
The story shows the importance of listening to and obeying God. "When Gotte tells you to do something, you do it, no questions asked." God always has goodness at heart and wishes us to prosper.
The wonderful sense of family, begun in book one continues in this book. The family is tight knit, pulling together and motivated by love.
The mystery that unravelled in the first book reaches its climax. All of the reader's questions are answered, particularly the 'who' and 'why'.
I have really enjoyed this series. There has been a wonderful feel good factor throughout this highly amusing series. There have been some classic one liners. The characters have all been uniquely drawn and are all very likeable. I am extremely sorry to have now finished all the novels and am leaving the Honeybee sisters behind.
Highly recommended. A fabulous read.

I received this book for free in exchange for a fair and honest review. No monetary compensation was received and all views expressed are my own.

This is the third and final book in the Honeybee Sister’s Series, and the book wraps up beautifully. We learn some of the reasons why Rose is so shy and the hurts she holds herself responsible for.
We have already read Lily’s and Poppy’s story of their romances, and hope that Rose will finally have a chance to let go of the pain that she holds in her heart.
Aunt Bitsy is still keeping a strong hold on her girls, and some of those boys whom you are not to feed, get the stink eye from her!
While the family is still being terrorized by someone, we hope that the culprit will finally be found out before someone is hurt, who would do all of these horrible things to them, and why?
I really hate to let these people go, and yet it seem great to finally find out the answers, don’t let this great read pass you by. Also be ready for some great laugh out loud chuckles.
I received this book through Zebra Publishing and was not required to give a positive review.

Oh my, this was a painful read. A reader can only endure so much completely asinine self-flaggelation before they start actively yelling at the audiobook. 🙄🙄🙄

Rose is just SO FREAKING ANNOYING. Why is she so pained all the time? She's scared of everything. She's sad about everything. She blames herself for EVERY STUPID THING. Why doesn't she also blame herself for how sore my calves are tonight? I'm 'sure and certain' that's her fault somehow. Also, if she would just make herself a 🤏 more utterly miserable, I'm certain all of my dead relatives would come back to life in a snap.

Also, she can't stand having anyone do anything nice for her, like her, sacrifice for her, look at her, smile at her, compliment her, or tell her she's not worthless and at fault for every bad thing in the world. She just whined on and on and on as she trembled and cried and waited for the sky to fall on her.

GAH. Couldn't get past it. She could not have possibly overreacted more about the state of her life if she'd lit herself on fire and thrown herself into the beehives. Which is just about what I wanted to do 1/3 of the way through this book. Buck up BUTTERCUP, and holy smokes, Josiah, quit being such a weanie. One of ya needs to grow a spine.

And y'all need medication.

This is a fast paced, very entertaining, and it even has a little bit of mystery in it! I love the who done it cases. In this case, Jennifer Beckstrand keeps you guessing for sure and certain!! It is also very funny in places. I howled in some places of the book even though I'm in a lot of pain right now from today's fiasco at work lol! Jennifer Beckstrand thank you for making me laugh.

Aunt Bitsy is really cracking me up! Especially, the way she treats Josiah. I love love her personality! Even though she carries a shotgun to ward off stray cats lol she really does have a heart of gold! I'd love to have a Aunt like her. I guess in a way I do. I also like how she gives Josiah a choice on what to do with Rose's feelings. I myself thinks he's the perfect choice for Rose.

Josiah is madly in love with Rose Christner. I love a sweet and caring man like him. My hero (swoon ). He's always there in the right place and time and jumps to Rose's defense especially against mean Paul Glick!
Josiah reminds me of my husband. He thinks he can fix anything but when it comes right down to it he can't fix a lick!! Lol!!!
I give him an E for effort.

Then we have sweet, shy Rose Christner. A very lovable and kind pain but who was on the wrong place at the wrong time. It is why she's afraid all of the time and always looking over her shoulder. Her sisters and Josiah is always protecting her bit she doesn't want to be a project or a burden on them. This is Rose's story to tell like Aunt Bitsy said.
May the Lord guide Rose in her telling the story and if she tells will the mystery be solved? Only the Lord knows. He is our protector at all times and sends ppl to help Him in his stead.
I still will not like Paul Glick!! He's mean and a cheater and liar! He is the one who done the Honeybee sisters wrong! I do ot like ppl who twist what really happened to.make themselves look good! It's not right! But, I believe Paul will get his justice in the end. I say this because God will take care of the mean ppl in the end!!

ppl you ve just got to read this last book in the series!!! As the Honeybee sisters say,"it's wonderful gut!!!!

~See my review of the whole series here on my blog: http://smilingbookreviews.blogspot.co...

This is the first time I have read anything by this author and let me tell you - she is funny!  I laughed out loud quite a bit while reading (and listening to**) these books.   The way she words things can be quite humorous.   And the character of Aunt B and the way the author portrays the cats is too funny.   Aunt B is fiercely protective of her girls and hilariously eccentric.  I love Aunt B!  :)

Then there is the mystery running through all three books of the vandalism that is plaguing the Honeybee Sisters Farm!  Who can it be?  An Englischer? Or someone from the Amish community who thinks they should be shunned because of Aunt B?

All in all, this is a very enjoyable series.  With strong, earnest heroes and sweet, sometimes vulnerable heroines, you'll enjoy the romances as well as the mystery in these books.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

And then there is sweet but petrified Rose.   And eager but cautious Josiah.   Josiah knows how shy Rose is but he's been in love with her for years.  He starts a quiet campaign to win her heart.  Rose cautiously and reluctantly agrees to allow him to be her "friend" as long as there are no expectations.  As the danger and vandalism on the farm continue, Rose finds out just how dependable and wonderful it is to have Josiah to lean on.   Josiah is adorable with his dog named Honey and his duct tape repairs!  :) :)  Josiah is perfect for Rose but she has some major issues from her past that she has to deal with before healing can began.

**Although I received a complimentary e-book of all three of these books, I also purchased an audio version of all three so that I could listen to them on my way to work.   I'm glad I did, because hearing the dialect of some of the words was great.   I found myself wanting to say "Uff da!" more than once...LOL! :) **

I think this was my favorite out of the three Honeybee Sisters stories. It showed forgiveness, patience, love, hope and joy. I'm so glad we found out who was behind all the shenanigans at the honeybee farm, but I will tell you I was completely surprised with the who, why, and even what happened when there was a confrontation. Jennifer wrote this scene beautifully, and it really touched my heart (sorry can't give it away!).

I have been fond of Rose ever since book one. I always wondered what made her so shy and meek, and the answers are found in this book. It was so wonderful to see her grow and come out of her shell. I was rooting for poor Josiah the whole time. He was so afraid to go at Rose at full steam, and I think at times he was almost too afraid to speak his mind to her. But he had such tenderness, compassion and patience. A good reminder that if you really want something you need patience for God to intervene and help you along.

I have thoroughly enjoyed reading this series, and am sorry to see them over. Perhaps a fourth book will come out with a storyline for Aunt B!! That would be an interesting read for sure!

I received a complimentary copy of this book from CelebrateLit in exchange for an honest review which I have given.

MY REVIEW
I have enjoyed this series from the beginning and fear it has come to an end! Rose, the youngest and the most affected, protected, scared, and forgiving has a lot to deal with emotionally. Is it brought on by herself, events of the past and present or just her personality? Guess you'll have to read and find out, then find out if she can move on and leave any or all of these events and emotions in the past. Did I say I LOVE Jennifer's books? Well, I do!!!!!

I love this family and community. Yes, they're supposedly fictional characters, but author Jennifer Beckstrand brings them to life so that they feel like true friends. Rose is afraid to love and feels that she ruins everything she touches. She blames herself for her parents' deaths. But Josiah loves her unconditionally and unequivocally. He thinks that she is the most beautiful thing he has ever seen. He wants nothing more than to win her heart and marry her.
This story is such a precious one. Readers are sure to fall in love with this family all over again. This book could probably be read as a stand-alone but I personally recommend reading the other two books in the series before this one as it will help explain a great deal of the events and traits and behaviors of characters. The author has obviously researched bee-keeping for this series.
I rate this book 5 stars and highly recommend it to readers.

LIKE A BEE TO HONEY is the third book in this story. I enjoyed reading Rose’s story—and while the book does stand alone, it does refer back to prior events so fans might want to read them in order. I did read book one and three without reading book two (because I didn’t have it yet) so I can testify that it works. 

Rose is way too whiny for my taste. I enjoyed the story, I liked Josiah and laughed out loud at how “gut” he is at fixing everything with duct tape, but Rose was just a bucket full of tears the whole story. I was kind of glad when she finally developed a backbone and didn’t cry when she needed to be strong.

Nevertheless, it was a very good story, well-written, with laugh out loud moments. It was also a quick read. If you like humor, unorthodox Amish, and romance, then LIKE A BEE TO HONEY is your type of book. Recommended.

Each book in the Honeybee Sisters series is as different as each sister it spotlights, and this final volume fits Rose’s personality well. Less wryly amusing than the previous two novels, it tugs more on the heartstrings than the funnybone. However, given that Beckstrand and her trademark humor are at the helm, plenty of opportunities to laugh out loud still remain! Characters brim with winsome authenticity, particularly Aunt Bitsy and Josiah. Plot threads that have been weaving through the entire series find a satisfying and sometimes sentimental conclusion, though certain aspects require some minor suspension of disbelief.

This was a sweet Amish romance and is book 3 in the Honeybee Sisters series. Despite the sweetness of this tale, real relatable issues are addressed and resolved. The emotions and challenges the characters face are universal and could easily be experienced anywhere. I was easily drawn into the emotions of the story which allowed me to be a part of the characters’ lives rather than a simple observer. This is always the hallmark of a good book for me. Expect to feel all the feels when you read this book - joy, sorrow, anxiety, love, and relief. Rose is the youngest of the Christner sisters. After the death of their parents, Rose and her sisters have been raised by their unconventional Aunt Bitsy. Bitsy and the family’s cats are part of the laughter and joy of the book. Rose is extremely timid and carries a overwhelming sense of guilt about her parents’ death as well as the fallout from a second childhood trauma. She is also overwhelming kind and sweet. As a result, Rose’s family is overly protective of her. Frequently shielding her when they should not. Josiah is one of the sister’s neighbors. He has been in love with Rose since the death of his mom four years earlier. Understanding Rose’s extreme shyness and anxiety, Josiah’s plan to woo Rose involves years of slow progress. Josiah continually encourages Rose to tell him what would make her happy but Rose’s fear and anxiety make it difficult for her to do so. There is an underlying mystery that runs through the book (and the series) of someone who is targeting Rose’s family with escalating vandalism and Rose appears to be the main target. These acts crank Rose’s fear up but also bring Rose and Josiah closer together. On the way to their HEA, Rose has to learn to face her fears and past traumas so that she and Josiah can learn to find balance and find their way to a loving, respectful, and faith based relationship. I enjoyed this series so much and am sorry that this book marks the end.

Like A Bee To Honey is book three in the Honeybee Sister's trilogy by Jennifer Beckstrand. I read the first book in the series and made a bee line to read the next two books when they were released. I think these books were a lot of fun to read. Jennifer has written them all the same way but since each focuses on a different sister, they were very enjoyable for me.
Like A Bee To Honey is Rose Christner's story. She is the sister that is a little too afraid of everything. But that doesn't stop Josiah Yoder from loving her, even if it is from a distance. When he starts to take baby steps closer to her, Rose has to figure out his true intentions.

I was pretty sure there would be a happy ending to this story, it just took some work for the characters to get there. It was good to finally discover who was behind all the mishaps taking place at the Christner farm. Like A Bee To Honey is a great read about forgiveness, acceptance, love, and sweet romance that I wish had another book after it. I couldn't "bee" any happier if I found out that Aunt Bitsy will have her turn at romance.

Rose story was as beautiful has the flower itself with just as many thorny hills to over come.
Mom and me loved how Rose’s niceness frustrates Rose as much as it could be to any living person. Not that mom and I believe that a person can not be truelly kind, but to say no one has a breaking point seems quiet a rare thing to find in one, so it seems rather silly when books who have nice or meek characters seem to leave them at that with no wish to change.
As for Rose’s interactions with everyone else it quiet beautiful. The lesson, one of the bigger lessons I should say, in this book is a very important one that tends to be over looked. The idea that one should hide the truth from someone if it is to hurt them. Know each to their own; but on and I believe that saying runs on a fine line. If the what is said is not meant or will only cause more problems than it does not need to be said; but some times people need to be told the truth, and the admintence of the truth can be just as harmful as any lie. Rose’s needing to know the truth and showing how important it was she knew, no matter how scared it made her was a very important lesson and one that truly does not get told enough.
This series has some seriously beautiful and human characters; and the love each one finds is just as beautiful and complex.

What a fantastic finish as a great series that just got better with each successive book. This wrap-up centers on Rose and explains much of what had only been previously alluded to. Rose’s older sisters had always protected her from the harsh realities of life. This task only got harder when their home and honey business became the target of vandals. Readers find out why Rose was so timid and fearful. Rose shows much character growth and development, and her trust in a forgiving God manifests in her and her own capabilities finally shine. Readers of Christian fiction have come to expect author Jennifer Beckstrand to deliver a good story with great characters in a Christian setting, likely with a dose of humor thrown in, and she certainly has done that with this series. Highly recommended.

I LOVED this book! I enjoyed the entire series and I'm sad to see it end. This book was a satisfying conclusion to the series with all of the storylines resolved.

I enjoyed Rose's story and learning why she was so afraid of so many people and situations. Her character was inspiring in that she was always looking for the best in people and I loved seeing how that played out in various situations in the book.

The relationship between Rose and Josiah was very sweet. After reading what first drew Josiah to Rose, I understood why he'd been pining for her for years.

And Aunt Bitsy...she didn't disappoint! I love her, her devotion to her nieces, and her complaining about her cats. I was laughing out loud about the last cat situation in the book.

This book could be read as a stand alone, but would be so much better if read after the first two books in the Honeybee Sisters series.

Great story with a wonderful message

I felt it was a little slow at the beginning and I was anxious to get to the "meat" of the story - as I got further into the story I became eager and excited to see how it would end and I wasn't disappointed - wonderful message as to how important it is to not hold onto fears from mistakes and problems and anger of things. It doesn't help and make your life better - you need to talk it out and work through it at the time. Love the message from this story and of course the happy ever after ending!! Quite the feel good book/series!!!

Oh did I ever fly through this one, I really wanted to know who'd been causing all the mischief! (And I was genuinely surprised by the perpetrators, I didn't suspect it at all!) I kept forgetting Rose was older than she was, I kept thinking she was younger because of her timidity. Oh was it good to see her learn to be more confident in herself, and it broke my heart learning why she was that way.

(Also, was it EVER satisfying to see Paul get a good comeuppance. And Aunt Bitsy is my favourite thing forever)

While I enjoyed the story, this is just unbelievable. Rose, the youngest of the sisters was, in my opinion, emotionally stuck as a 7- year old girl; afraid of everything & the family did nothing to help her move along but coddled her and made things worse. I just cannot see that when things finally fell into place, she was no longer afraid of her shadow & ready to wed. It was hinted at in the previous books what happened to her but was not what was hinted. Loved the happy ending but not even plausible in real life. In my opinion, the worse book of the series.

Every time I start a new Jennifer Beckstrand book, I mourn the last book of hers I read, and think this one can't possibly be as good. Then, when I finish, I think, this one was BETTER. They are ALL better. They are ALL the best. I hope she keeps writing and writing for many years. If you love good, clean, sweet, twisty turny, humor sprinkled love stories, you will very much want to read her books. And there are recipes at the end of the Honeybee Sisters books :-)

Okay. This was my first foray into the Amish romance novel genre. I didn't know what to expect, and for a saccharine, elementary school style courtship, it was okay. While the female protagonist eventually became less less mousy, I was struck by the way obsession was glossed over as soon as prelude to love on the male protagonist's character development. I guess it's just the Amish version of Twilight. Or it's just a cultural difference I can't relate to. If that's your thing, enjoy!

This is my least favorite book from this author. She seemed to rush the story to get the ends tied up. I think she could have flushed out these two characters a bit more. Seemed she did that to get the plot line running through the three books tied up. Yet know that not every book will be everyone’s cuppa tea. Both characters had such potential. Would loved to see what the faces on the grandparents were in the end.

The 3rd book in a fun, heartwarming series about 3 sisters raised by their aunt after their parents were killed. Each girl was affected in a different way, but the love from their unconventional Aunt B, my each other & three young men that have watched them from afar over the years in the community helped them become their best selves.

Love this Series!

What a delightful story about family, loyalty, overcoming fear, and good overcoming evil. It is a joy getting to know Rose and Josiah. Aunt Bitsy adds just the right amount of comic relief. This quirky character adds a unique element that makes these books stand out from other Amish fiction, of which I am a huge fan. I highly recommend this book and series.
