Tony's 4th book is the one that turns the corner for me. The background material is clean and terse and the dialog flows smoothly. It takes an author a while to learn to pare down his prose and this is the book that shows he's learned his lesson. On top of that, it's a fine yarn and although his books are best read sequentially, they also work as stand-alones, despite recurring characters. Looking forward to getting into his next story!
A short quick read which left me a bit unfulfilled, the main character is not described at all, how does he dress, how tall is he, anything. The story is Ok but the lack of excitement also works against it, it all happens off page because it is written all in the first person.
