Finding Strength is a story of a marriage that falls apart after Emma’s husband loses his job and is caught cheating on her. Through heartaches and bad situations, Emma finds for herself and her children that she has a strength that she does not know she has within her. When the pieces start tumbling down around Emma, she finds her new friends will stand and support her.
Finding Strength was an emotional and well-written story. It will pull at your heartstrings from the beginning. This story is an inspiring story full of emotion and heartaches. Unfortunately, bad things happen to good people but the trials and pains can create a stronger person within. The characters are realistic and well developed. It was easy to feel connected with the characters. The unfortunate events that happens to Emma could be your life or the life of someone that you know. So many emotions put together in one book that causes an emotional overload. You will finish this book with a newfound strength and hope for love no matter what pain and loss you might have experienced.
Andrew Hess has a talent and gift to create well-written stories. I recommend Finding Strength to anyone that enjoys reading an emotional and heartfelt book.
Andrew Hess is an amazing author and did an amazing job writing a book about a sensitive subject. Emma a stay at home mom finds herself needing to work two jobs to support her family due to her husband loosing his job. While working her butt off her husband is at home doing nothing, lying and cheating jerk. Jerry is a complete jerk with the way he cheats on his wife and provides no support. I loved how Emma found support from her coworkers and from inside herself. The story was written and should give women or anybody the strength to find their strength within.
The struggles of life are hard and Hess puts all of that into this book, but he also puts in laughter and love and that is what makes it easier to handle the hard times. I have to say Hess outdid himself with this book. I loved the storyline and all the characters. I am a big fan of Hess's books. I love his writing style and the emotions he puts in everyone of his books. I recommend this book and author to everyone.
Emma is a woman who is caught between a rock and a hard spot. She is working two jobs while her husband Jerry ( who just recently lost his job and didnt tell her) is sitting at home and doing nothing. Well, not nothing..he is having an affair, so that keeps him busy...LOL They eventually divorce but not without a whole lotta mess. Andrew Hess is a talented writer, and I love his work, but unfortunately, this book was just not for ME. But, if you like Hallmark movies, this is a must read !!!
Heartfelt!!! This is a new genre from Andrew Hess. To me this book is emotional and heartfelt. What Emma's husband Jerry put her through was unbelievable. Emma definitely found strength being on her own with 2 kids and friends showing support. I was a great insight to be strong even though times are rough. I'm hoping there is a book 2 coming soon. I highly recommend reading this book.
