Across the unforgiving Territories comes a spectre of death, and once again Simms finds himself in a struggle for survival against an old enemy who will stop at nothing to achieve his the death of Detective Simms. Blood Rise is a standalone novel and can be enjoyed even if you haven't read other books in the series. Praise from "Loved this entire series... My first published book 'Cold Hell in Darley Dene' (written as Glenn Stuart) was the culmination of years of trying to get myself into print. Back in 1979 I submitted a novel to a publisher, and in 2009 Darley Dene was accepted. Thirty years of honing my skills, and learning a lot about the world. If I had the chance, I'd almost certainly re-write all of my books, improve them, make them more solid, because the more we write, the better we get. This is what has happened to 'Darley Dene'. It's now available as 'Lament for Darley Dene', re-written and improved. Soon, you will find the same with 'The Pawnbroker', a horror story which I am sure many out there will enjoy.
My current day-job is being a teacher, a job I love. Without it I would not be able to continue to write; it also gives me a wealth of characters and so many ideas. The bills get paid too!
I write now as Stuart G Yates in a range of genres. Unflinching is my best-selling Western, but if you like historical fiction, thrillers or spine-tingling horror, I am sure I have a title for you.
For the moment, I live in Spain, which is not so wonderful as people try to make out, and I would dearly love to return to Old Blighty, find a little cottage and write full time. Or the Philippines and be with my fiance, marry her, find happiness. Dreams, but dreams that I am trying very hard to make true. Afterall, it's dreaming what writers do best...don't they?

"HUNGRY HUNGRY"

The United States Government is definitely moving into the future. Assassinations coming down the pike. The confrontation of Brigham Young, leader of the Mormons of Utah challenge to the government. The reason they settled the state of Utah to be able to practise their religion in peace without persecution that has been imposed upon them. Detective Simms, Deep Water, his lady friend White Dove and Martinson have been given an ultimatum to sign a deed for Detective Simms ranch...as you know..This will not go over well. Lots of devious people in this world who think nothing of murdering, shoot you in the head and keep going..Lordy..they've introduced cannibalism this is a mess..they are eating humans because there's a dry spell and people who get caught in the desert no food. They start killing and making human stew..Reading this leads one to believe that this isn't the real reasons, I think they like this type of living..very unusual, strange. This adventure pulls you in and you become involved with the characters
Lots of situations that you can compare to how things are going on now..I like Detective Simms and his friends, they illustrate strong construction with their beliefs and he never underestimates his opponents..which is a good life lesson, I think everyone should incorporate that feeling...
