·  When will weapons of mass destruction be unleashed in the final conflict?
·  In what ways can believers share the truth of God’s Word before it’s too late?

Through the answers to these questions and more, you’ll gain a greater understanding of the Master Architect’s plan for humanity and His divine purpose for your life.

Your Guide to the Apocalypse gives you a front-row seat into the prophetic world theater featuring the epic story that began before recorded time. God is pulling back the veil to reveal the final scene. Will you be ready?

I have heard Matt Hagee preach and sing but I had never read anything that he may have written, so as a fan I was really looking forward to reading Your Guide to the Apocalypse. This book does not go into topics such as, who is the antichrist or what to expect during tribulation, what it does go into is how we know that we are absolutely in the end times and Christ’s return is imminent.

Pastor Matt shows us this with three historical and prophetic eras in the bible. The first is the statue in Nebuchadnezzar’s dream. Pastor, walks you through so you can see how we are in fact both prophetical and historically in the last kingdom. If this was the only prophecy ever written about the timing of the end, it would be all you needed to know we are here but there is more.

Then he walks you through parts of Matthew 24 and the signs that Christ had given to us and how each and every one of them has been fulfilled to the exact description that Christ gave. You can see how Israel’s rebirth has triggered the apocalyptic count down and how everything described by Christ is happening in our society today.

One new thing that I did learn and found fascinating was the Arch of Titus, which depicts the robbing and pillaging done during the 66 to 70 AD campaign against Israel and the stealing of the artifacts from the temple. The third topic that Pastor Matt discusses is the seven churches described by John in Revelation.

I thought it was very interesting how at the time of John’s writing these churches were being spoken to directly and then how each of the churches describes the different eras that the church would enter. There is no mistaking that we are currently in the time of Laodicea. You look around, here in America many of our churches don’t even adhere to sound doctrine, let alone get people fired up about Christ.

I think this is a great read, no matter where you are on your walk with Christ, you will learn something. It is also a great tool so you can show others real, solid proof that we are exactly at the threshold of Christ’s return for His Church.

I received this book from Bloggings For Books for my honest review, WaterBrook is the publisher. All of my reviews can be found at Blessings N Bloggings

Did you know that your social security number heralds the end days? The core of this book is a contradiction. The author craves the apocalypse but recoils in horror at the environmental movement as hastening said apocalypse. Half way through and every biblical prediction cited and associated event is laughably broad. At least ISIS don't want everyone to die. If anyone like the author ever gains power he may cause nuclear war. FYI George Bush shares his Armageddon fantasy. How close we came already.

I find books about the apocalypse interesting to read especially since the world is changing rapidly before our eyes. I feel that Your Guide To The Apocalypse is an extremely well written and very informative book that will open your eyes making you see things in a different light. I like how each chapter as a bible verse at the beginning and explains the verses throughout the chapter. There are also many verses throughout each chapter that shed light on topics and world events that will make you wonder. The author does an outstanding job in explaining with great detail each verse. Overall, I found this to me a very good read and recommend it to anyone who loves to read about the apocalypse.

This book sets itself up as not a mere description as to what Christian end times are, but that the end times are fast approaching, that the Christian God is the path to salvation and that his interpretation of Christian scripture is the correct one, these are large claims and will require a lot of argumentation in order to be convincing. The author, however, does not even attempt to engage in any serious form of argumentation. The complete inability of this author to prove a point was demonstrated to me in the opening pages of this book.

At the beginning of the book the author observes that the international system to, put it one way, as gone to hell and that international relations have deteriorated into unseen depravity. For example, he says that the US State Department is intentionally funding Iranian terrorism and nuclear ambitions. Such a claim is laughable and displays the authors complete inability to understand the Iran deal and what the State Department is attempting to do with the deal. The author then goes onto say that such a state of affairs can only be found from a supernatural explanation, specifically the bible. But, wait a moment, I am pretty sure that naturalistic explanations more than sufficiently explain what is going on in the world and I am more than sure that todays’s international political environment is nothing new and, when you compare it to the Cold War and the period 1900-1945, it is extremely stable and safe. The author does not attempt to challenge any of these points and just asserts that the answer to this is supernatural. Such non-reasoning is found through the book and pervades his argument.

While Hagee begins with a discussion of modern-day events and parallels to passages of Scripture, the latter part of the book is a study of the seven churches in Revelation and their parallels to the seven ages of the church. He concludes we are living in Laodicea--a phrase which brings back memories of an old contemporary Christian song (1983) by Steve Camp. I enjoyed the author's illustrations based on his own family history. This is a readable book encouraging believers in the midst of spiritual darkness. I received an electronic galley from the publisher via NetGalley with expectations for an honest review to be published and shared.

A short book on Biblical passages that relate to the end times. Nothing new here, however the information deserves to be covered and looked at from multiple perspectives.

I didn't agree with parts (how looking after the earth is going to ruin the economy and bring on destruction, didn't God challenge us to take care of what we are given?), but others align with my current viewpoint and understanding. I did like that the author would always turn the focus back on the reader and challenge the reader to know where they are in their salvation through Jesus Christ.

An easy read for those beginning to look into end times prophecy.

The world is coming to end. Each breaking news alert is testifying to this. There are things you need to know before it happens. This book is short, easy to read and wastes no time laying out the facts in clear everyday language.

Get ready and stay ready your waiting time is shorter than you think.

Good book. I enjoyed reading this book by Matt Hagee. Very well organized and easy to understand.
He uses bible references and scripture to help us understand end times, the Apocalypse and prophecy. I enjoyed the portions talking about the seven churches. This definitely encourages me to keep up more on world events and news. I think everyone should keep watch (like in Ezekiel).

This book should be read by all Christians. To understand its meaning, you need to have read the Bible. Only non-christians would not like this book. It's full of love and helps us understand Gods love. Great book...Thank you Pastor Matt.

Highly recommend

Really enjoyed this book. Especially the study on Revelation 1-3. This section explained the history of the 7 churches and the prophecy in great detail. I highly recommend this book specifically because of the chapters that discuss the 7 letters to the churches.

Matt Haggee does an excellent job in analyzing current affairs, trends and recent history and inserting it into the precursor of the Apocalypse timeline. The author primarily focuses on the first three chapters of the Book of Revelation, specifically, the Letters to the Seven Churches. He lays out the message that God wants believers to live in the light of the truth while keeping an eye open on possibel spiritual shortcomings. He also relates to the behavior of believers as being an indicator of the Lord coming back. The author does provide facts and applies historical precedence while curtailing opinion. This is a focused scriptural study of the believer's appropariate behavior, attitude toward and expectation of the coming Apocalypse. There is also a reminder that the church community of believers must stay empowered, committed to witnessing, faithful, on fire and empassioned in the faith of the Lord. I found this book to a capsulized analysis and accurate eschatological book. I recommend this book with great enthusiasm.

My thoughts:

I very much enjoyed reading this book. I have read similar books in the past, that to be honest, were hard for me to get through. This book is easy to read with clear and concise instructions on how to be ready for the coming of Christ. I love reading about end time prophecy and am still learning a lot, but I feel like I know so much more after reading this book, as well as understand so much more. No matter where you are in your walk with God, everyone can benefit from reading this book. It gives us the knowledge of the signs of the coming of Christ and helps us to be prepared. Informative, easy read that I highly recommend!

Side note:

I have heard about Matt Hagee, but this is the first book I have read by him. I very much enjoyed it and will definitely seek out more of his books in the future. 😉

You can find this book for Kindle or in paperback on Amazon.com.

This is an easy to read and understand book about a controversial subject. Pastor Matt Hagee did an admirable job tackling it in this, the first book that I've read by him. I will be looking forward to his next.
Loaded with Scripture to back up the writing, this would be ideal for a small group study.
I received an Advance Review Copy of this book. All opinions are my own.
