A very good account of a person, his art with some facts about German Renaisssance, richly illustrated. I have got a copy from 1964 published in London by Weidenfeld and Nicolson.

Brief but helpful in giving the scope of Dürer’s life. More than 70 plates intentionally chosen and explained. I really enjoyed the read and feel like I know Dürer better for reading this.
