Proof reader needed Bradley.p

Enjoyed the book---_but you need a proof reader for the spelling errors and poor sentence structure. Curries was a little else wimped.

Best paranormal/ ghost story I've read all year!

Wow! This book reaches it's ghostly hands out from the spirit world and snatches you in from the first paragraph! There's no putting the book down. The book reads at a fast and exciting pace. Nonstop action from cover to cover.

This was one of the best paranormal books I've read this year, or last year for that matter. I loved the author's writing and definitely will be looking for more of his books.

Mary Malone has what her mother told her was "the gift". Her psychic abilities have gotten stronger as she grew to adulthood.

Curtis and Mary Malone buy their dream home, the huge Bechdel mansion. Soon after, Mary begins seeing and hearing things, even having psychic visions. After some research, she discovers the mansion was the site of a gruesome crime where an entire family and all the guests were murdered 40 years ago! The case was never solved. The spirits of the victims continue to haunt Bechdel mansion. They demand the killers be brought to justice.

An unsolved mass murder, a conspiracy that most of the town seems to be involved in, a mansion haunted by the victims angry spirits - things that go crash, boom, BOO!

If you like paranormal/ghost stories, this is an excellent book.

I was captivated by this story. Loved it so much I stayed up until 2:30 in the morning reading it to the end...... and was utterly disappointed by the ending. This author, I felt, was great in keeping the story going, having you wondering what was going to happen next and then the ending. I feel as though the last page the author was tired of writing and ended the story. There were questions in mind of what about.... it did not leave me satisfied as knowing the whole story. One character just walked away and never was seen again. REALLY#? You spent some time creating his place in this story and dropped him before the ink dried. As you can tell I loved the book. Except for the last page.

Too Predictable

A little too predictable to be really good. I would think most readers know whodunit a quarter of the way in, if not before. And there is no resolution concerning the Bechdel secret/curse. The story just ends......not even a "happily ever after" epilogue . Not the best and not the worst I've read, so I graded it right down the middle.

I enjoyed the story line and liked this book. But the ending? Not so much. It was rushed and there was so much left undone. I would have preferred less of the dialogue between the "villain" and the "heroine" and more closure to the story line.

2.5 stars really, but couldn't stuck it at the official two.

Once again (after Saxton Mansion), the author must REALLY get a proof reader!

This one however wasn't as good as Saxton Mansion to me. Where Saxton Mansion tied up plot points, and had a good epilogue (bit happily ever after but still good), Bechdel Mansion's ending was too rushed and abrupt and left too many unanswered plot points. Maybe he is planning a sequel?

Still a good plot and story, and I must admit that I liked Mary the most of all his characters that I've read so far.

The author published a list of actions by the characters. There was no build up of tension or suspense. He left important things unresolved and the ending was anti-climactic because of the long list of actions. The author should also look for words other than "said" to describe his characters' dialogue, maybe use more descriptive words.

As an omnibus, I expected the book to be longer as well.

Enjoyed it very much I only gave it four stars because it didn't seem completely finished to me to many loose threads so to speak, 40 year old murders in a small quaint town which have never been solved, a mansion that is selling way under value and a young couple add up to a good story. When you add in some vengeful ghost it really heats up.

A haunting trilogy that will keep you glued to the pages, with some brilliant storytelling and plots that you will go from on book to the next, turning page after page, you will struggle to put this book down, this is one of my must read books, the storytelling is just out of this world and the plot just gets better with every turn of the page

While I found the book entertaining, it did not have that umph that grabs me or leaves me anxious to get to the end. Plus, the climax of the book came late and then ended quick. There was no intensity during the action. A haunted novel should leave readers with some emotional impact. This fell flat.

Good Read

I enjoyed this book. I still have questions about some of the characters, but Mary, Curtis, and Theo had excellent stories. Held my attention and i read it in a few hours. Justice for the victims was my page turning desire.
Will definitely be looking up the authors other books!

Good read, hard to put down.

By and large a good, thrilling read. Some parts were not well explained, and had some grammatical errors. Definitely a page turner regardless! Kept you wanting to know what was coming next!

Excellent book!

It's hard to find such a well written paranormal story that was believable from beginning to end. I read it in one afternoon. You will love this book and I will continue to read Roger Hayden's books. He's a great author.

Mystery. Suspense. Paranormal. My favorite elements blended in such a way to be believable. I couldn't put the book down and read it in one setting. If you like this genre, you won't be disappointed!
