Having it all means nothing when you have nothing left to lose...
Jay Collins, Fading to Light’s front man seems to have everything – fame, talent, good looks, and great friends. Except it’s an empty existence, and lately the only thing that it’s been filled with is the memories of Abigail Mason and the life they never got to live. Drowning himself in drugs and liquor only numbs the hurt for so long until he realizes he has finally hit rock bottom, and it is time to face the music and learn to let go.
Lennon Taylor is no stranger to pain. For years she has led a broken life, until one event changes everything and she has to find the strength to pick up the pieces and move on. She’s put too much time and effort into building the life she wants and deserves, to let herself break again. As she starts to navigate the adventures of her new life, she finds herself falling for someone who may not be able to give her everything she needs.
Opening up old wounds only invites more pain, but if there’s something that both Leni and Jay have learned, it’s that living isn’t easy when all you crave is to feel nothing at all.
THIS BOOK IS INTENDED FOR MATURE AUDIENCES DUE TO STRONG LANGUAGE, SEXUAL CONTENT, AND OTHER SENSITIVE SUBJECTS. This can be read as a standalone with a HEA, but the story line is enriched by first reading Fading to Light, Book 1 in the Fading to Light Duet.
Sarah Cole began writing her first novel on a whim, and once she put her pen to paper there was no turning back. She writes primarily in the Contemporary Romance genre, but has been known to dabble on the dark side of things as well.
Sarah graduated with a Business Management degree from Millikin University, and is a Midwestern girl through and through. A wife and a mother to a young daughter, she has her hands full, but wouldn't have it any other way.

I knew from reading the first story of the Fading to Light Duet, that I was going to love this story, and I'm happy to see that I wasn't wrong. From the Dark was absolutely beautiful, but beautifully tragic.
Jay cut me open and left me there to bleed through the pages, and Lennon was there to help me heal. With everything that Jay had gone through with losing the love of his life, I understood his need to hide behind his addictions. I also understood him not wanting to open up and let anyone else in, especially when you can't guarantee their presence in your life. But Lennon didn't let him wallow for too long. She jumped right in and made him see what life can be like if you just let yourself really feel. And even though she had her own drama going on, she didn't wait around for life to happen, she took that shit by the horns.
I think Sarah was trying to ruin my life when she wrote this book. Or maybe I was on my period. Either way I cried like the biggest fucking baby in the world. I couldn't get over Jay pushing life away and not living it. He was willing to drown his sorrows and hide behind drugs to feel anything. When he finally had to let Abby go, I about died! How could you not? His best friend and first love was gone! Anybody in their right mind would've pushed love away. The kind of raw passion and love that you see between Jay and Lennon is very rare. Not everybody gets that chance, so when it comes around twice for Jay, I'm happy he finally got some sense and held on to it.
This is the kind of story you read when you want to be inspired by love. You get to see the tragedy of being in love and losing it, and finding another love and letting it in. You will laugh and if you're like me, you will definitely cry. Whatever you do, I know for a fact you will LOVE this story.
Where to begin....for starters I abso-freaking-lutely loved this duet series so much I would like more!! I devoured this one today, I didn't want to stop to get groceries and cook dinner. I just love the group of characters and storyline of these two books. Just a warning and a little spoiler this book could cause triggers for self harm and drug addicts. I still think it was written into the book tastefully and well written. This book is about Jameson "Jay" lead guitarists and singer of the band Fading to Light. He is a man on the verge of hitting rock bottom because of a loss so profound he can't cope. His loss of Abby in book one is just devastating and they had a secret nobody knew about even their best friend Charlie. He finally starts getting on track when in comes a little pink cotton candy haired bombshell Lennon "Leni" comes into his life.
Lennon "Leni" is used to pain and her coping mechanism's could cause her more until she finally tries to put everything behind her and reinvent her stronger self. She is a marketing and publicists dream come true for the summer tour where she is literally ran into by Jay and its a fan girl moment. I am not going to give it all away but this book had some twists, sexy men,a precious little two year old whom learns the word ass lol, and a storyline that just flows you can't wait for the next page. Check it out and fall in love with these characters like I did. Thanks Jamie Nibarger Ellis
