For a stressed-out, overbooked, steadfast giver of too many f*cks, the holidays can be your Kryptonite. In this season of giving, spending, going, doing, and more, it's all too easy to wear yourself out pleasing everyone else. In The Life-Changing Magic of Not Giving A F*ck , Sarah Knight taught you how to shed your unwanted obligations, shame, and guilt, and devote your time and f*cks to things that make you happy. In this pint-sized ebook, she'll tell you how to apply the principles of not giving a f*ck that work for you 11 months of the year to the holiday season.
15 pages. Most of it was repetitive advice, but I still enjoyed it, though. This should probably be a back-of-the-book freebie if you purchased the OG The Life- Changing Magic of Not Giving A F*ck.
No new, earth-shattering advice but a few useful, simple reminders/examples to slow down and do what is best for you (although I would have preferred different vocabulary since it distracted from the message of the book).
A very brief reminder that the NotSorry method is applicable during the holidays just as it is at other times of the year. My f-ck basket is consistently empty from Halloween until New Year's, so I'm thankful that Sarah Knight has released a small volume dedicated to the holidays and all they demand from us.
Started it, came to page 62 until I realized that I don‘t give a fuck what she says. So I believe I reached the goal. Stopped there and am spending my time with a better book. Dont like her writing at all.

🎄 The vibes: - nonfiction self help - Mental health - Setting christmas boundaries - Humorous - Practical tips - Lottttsssss of cursing
🎄 My thoughts: This is only 22 pages, so it’s basically like an article. Super quick read and some great tips for setting boundaries for the holidays. Determine your boundaries. Do it. Do not give any effs. If that message bothers you- pass.
I thought most of the material was intuitively obvious and has been covered by one major magazine or another at this time of year. I don't mind the use of the "F" word as it occurs in natural conversation, but it was used so often that it was a major distraction from the message she was trying to convey.
3 stars if this is your first book by the author, or 2 stars if you’ve already read her other books. I was disappointed at how short this book was. If you haven’t read her first book and want quick tips specifically for the holidays, give it a read. Otherwise, read her original book (The Life-Changing Magic of Not Giving a F*ck) or F*ck No - much more depth in those.
I want this to be longer. I really needed to read the part about just not buying gifts. As a person who has her NotSorry method properly down, I am still perplexed by what dire consequence I imagine id run into if I just simply don't buy someone a gift.
I like her sassy attitude. I have thankfully mastered the art of not giving an F at Christmas. But I will say this was more of a pamphlet than a book. Should it even count? Oh well, i don’t give a f.
When this was described as a mini book they were not joking! Very short. It was good for a laugh and a bit of stress relief as holidays are approaching. I did read the original many years ago, maybe I need to reread that.
I still give a ****. I can't help myself...but I have pared down. If it stresses you out or your family doesn't enjoy it anymore, get rid of that tradition/event/food.
This is a brief read. While it specifically discusses Christmas and the holiday season, much of the content overlaps with material from Sarah's other books. It essentially feels like a long blog post or article. I liked it, but it doesn't provide groundbreaking insights.
A short and sassy book (essay?) about how to have a happier holiday season without going crazy, broke, or exhausted. If you've read this, you'll find more information (and sass) in the author's previous book THE LIFE-CHANGING MAGIC OF NOT GIVING A F*CK.
Very entertaining and short little ebook. I am all about simplifying my "F*cks Given Budget" and this was a perfect read for starting the new year. I have her next book already on deck!
