Congratulations, Seven Deadly Sins, you have redeemed yourself for the past 2-3 volumes that have made me want to bang my head against a wall. Switching over to Diane and King, especially since their relationship has strengthened considerably over the last few arcs, was refreshing and the current arc has an interesting concept. I am not surprised at all to see that the Goddess race is littered with phenomenal assholes, but seeing all four races work together and get along thanks to Drole, Gloxina, Elizabeth, and Meliodas was pretty touching. The fight scenes were good and seeing the Goddesses duke it out with the Demons was entertaining. I'm still confused how a race titled "Goddess" would be weaker than literally any other race, but honestly I'm done asking stupid questions like that. I'm curious to know what this "right decision" Gloxina and Drole were talking about is and am hoping for some backstory on Gowthur, but I'm very satisfied with this volume for reminding me what I like about this series.
It was really good, much better than the previous volume at the very least. This volume focuses on the beginning of the Holy War, 3000 years ago. King and Diane are trained by the previous Kings, Gloxinia and Drole. They relive the war as Gloxinia and Drole. Many characters are introduced as well, mostly from the Goddess clan. Learning more about the Holy War, Meliodas, Elizabeth and the Commandments is actually more interesting than I thought. I'm curious to see what happens next.

This volume wasn't as action-packed, but it was sooo good!
New characters are introduced, and I'm not sure I'm liking them (or their portrayal) very much. It makes me think if the Demon Race are the real villains? Haha!
--- Deep down, nobody wants this war. - Elizabeth (as a Goddess)

I love this arc bc we get a glimpse of what happened previous to the start of the series. However, even if I get why Drole and Gloxinia are doing it, it just seems like a plain bad choice
King and Diane have been kidnapped by Gloxinia and Drole. The two commandments offer to help them, but first King and Diane must pass a test.
Let’s go way back to 3000 years ago, when Britannia was still home to all five races. Goddesses and demons as well as fairies, giants, and humans. The true tale of how the demons were sealed away and how the goddesses lost their material form. But even more surprising are the familiar faces.
I gotta admit, this is a good way to show the reader the backstory without it being just another flashback.
This section is the best of the best that nanatsu no taizai has to offer. They create an intricate backstory that sets up all the character motivations perfectly. We come to intimately understand the position of most of the commandments and their place in the conflict. I love how it’s presented and it hooked me harder than any other section of the series.
