FINN STOOD AND POINTED HIS WAND, "NO!" A SHIMMERING RED BURST SHOT OUT HITTING THE OGRE IN MID-SWING. HE EXPLODED, COVERING THE TWO GIRLS WITH GREEN, STINKY, SLIMY, OGRE PARTS.
Life is not always fair. Finn and George often felt that way living in an abusive foster situation. They hated their foster mother, Igor. The good thing is they had each other and the forest they both loved. They'd spent hours roaming the forest often releasing animals from poacher snares. Finn especially seemed to have a special bond with the forest animals. Almost as if they could talk to him and he understood them. The two boys often talked about someday they were going to run away to the forest, find the lost boys and join them. Finn's mother had always told him that the forest was where the lost boys really lived and if he ever needed help that is where he should go.
What awaits them is beyond their wildest imagination. Finn would soon find a whole new world filled with new friends and lots of troublesome ogres.
On a cold winters night, sitting in front of the fire listening to Sissel, a whole new world came to me. I sat down and started writing and when I finally looked up spring had come and I had written the first two books in The Realm of the Two Moons.
