Rebecca Williams is about to achieve her goal of graduating from a prestigious university and winning a coveted spot in her mentor’s cutting-edge psychology practice. She just needs one more qualification: sexual experience. She never dreamed it would come at the hands of the man she’s admired and wanted for six years. Dr. Kurt Foster.
Kurt, a brilliant psychologist in the field of sexual therapy, is a scientist to the core. Attraction and lust are nothing more than chemical reactions, in his clinical opinion. Love? It’s just a figment of the imagination born of nature’s directives. He’s on the brink of proving it with a new machine that uncovers latent desires.
In short order, Becca’s forbidden lust for her boss is exposed. As Kurt continues to enlighten her on the darker facets of her sexuality, the student unexpectedly becomes the teacher.
And suddenly Kurt is confronted with the irrefutable proof that love is so much more than a societal construction.
Warning: This book is only suitable for readers who are turned on by hot doctors engaging in sexual experiments, bondage, ménage a trois, exhibitionism, suspension, anal sex and other deviant behavior using mechanical stimulation devices they’ve invented to make your wildest dreams come true.
This book was previously published. It's the same hot story with a fresh new cover to match the steam between the covers.

Holy shit, this was one smoking hot story. Unrealistic, but HOT. Mercy, this place does some seriously erotic research. Where do I sign up. Now if I could just get a hunky doctor to relive some of my dreams with. *sigh* Throughout this story I kept singing "Doctor, Doctor, give me the news. I've got a bad case of loving you." lol Ok, now on to read Doctor Luke's story. *rubbing hands together*
It's a good thing none of my doctors are hot or I might have some uncomfortable fantasies next time I have to go. Phew! This was steamy. Even just the first time Becca got nude and it was just an "exam". Is it hot in here, or is it just me? It got steamier from there.
I wanted to smack Kurt so many times. Well, both of them. They were working against each other while working right up against each other, if you get my meaning. ~wink, wink, nudge, nudge~ Kurt kept trying to deny his feelings, and so he'd say things that were kinda harsh in the light of day, which in turn hurt Becca because she kept expecting it all to not be real. She didn't think Kurt could possibly really be hot for her. And he'd say something that, to her, meant it was all a scientific experiment and she was alone in her attraction.
Speaking of the experiment, I'm pretty sure they violated every possible ethical and procedural guideline in existence, lol. I'm no scientist, but I found myself balking a little bit at how the experiment was conducted. As if they could really have used any of the data obtained via the experiment. Everything seemed to be tainted from the get go. BUT, it was still a super steamy story, and I continued to remind myself it's fiction and suspend reality for a while.
A nice little HEA out of this one, but one they both really had to fight for.
My god… what kind of book is this???? Sooo not my kind of book lol…
And way to lovey dovey… COME ON WOMAN!! 48% through the book and you STILL think he doesn’t like you? AND your a psychologist? THERES SOMETHING SERIOUSLY WRONG WITH YOU… Or maybe I misread that wrong… Because I did skim over a lot lol
I still have no connections to the characters. It’s like they’re dead… Maybe I’m just not much of a doctor fan lol
AND THEN at the end of the book its reversed? HE doesn’t ‘love’ SHE?!? ohh come on…. *sigh*…
There are times when I have to work to get into a book, this was one of those books I tried but just didn't feel. Then along comes the audiobook with a delicious narrator reading for me, now I am feeling it!
The story is one that you have to buy into or it won't work. I wasn't in love with Dr Kurt, a little too science driven for my liking. Given time I definitely warmed to him but it was rocky in the beginning!
The biggest sell on this book is the smexy stuff!! Oh hell's yes!! Ms Rylon always delivers in the hot and heavy department. Leave off the panties, unless you want to have extra laundry!! Better yet just read while in a cold shower, cause it gets might steamy!!!
The romance rings true, the time they spent fighting the feelings really sold the love in the end. While there is an instant smexy chemistry the true emotions take time to build. I really enjoyed their connection in the end.
I listened to the audiobook narrated by the deliciously smexy Gregory Salinas. He has a great voice that adds to all the sexiness of the book. It is a perfect fifty fifty blend of hot story and wickedly rich voice that will have you removing your panties! Oh lordy when her does the deep bedroom voice with all those naughty words!!! Fan face, yup I have several sections bookmarked for easy re-listening!! Yummilicious narration as always!!
If you find the ebook is not for you snag this audio and let Gregory weave his delicious magic! Heck, just grab the audio anyway, you will not be disappointed!!
Dream Machine surprised me in more ways than one. First this is not a tame tale, this is a hot, sensual, sexy, read. Almost from the very beginning the crackling sexuality permeates the pages of this erotic tale. The tale of a man's struggle between a mind built upon the facts of science, and the erratic, illogical pleas of the heart. An intimate experiment in human sexuality offers him the opportunity to quell his sexual curiosity for his assistant. This is a very brief explanation of a steamy story. Between the highly erotic intimate scenes, Jayne Rylon manages to sneak in a plot with enough heart to keep the eroticism from reeling out of control and completely overwhelming the story. The characters are layered and by the end you want them together if only because Rylon has created a perfect couple. I did enjoy the tale, it kept me coming back until the end. If you are looking for some "alternate stimulation" definitely pick it up.
When I discovered there was a book by Jayne Rylon that I hadn't read yet I knew I needed to rectify the situation immediately. Dream Machine takes us into the world of Becca's dreams and let me tell you this woman has some sexy dreams about her boss Kurt. Kurt and Becca make such a great couple because they each spend quite a bit of time fighting the growing love between them-one of my favorite things for characters to do is fight the attraction. These two may be fighting the love portion of the attraction but thanks to science they are not fighting the sex portion. lol Thanks to Becca's wicked dream desires they have all kinds of hot kinky sex. I'm quite happy to say we get our HEA for Kurt and Becca although the path at the end got very rocky.
My favorite part about this book though was Luke. He is one of those secondary characters that just took over for me. When he was in the scene he had my complete attention and sometimes even when he wasn't around I was thinking about him. I'm thrilled to say he recently got his own book, Healing Touch, come back tomorrow for that review. If you love Jayne Rylon, and quite frankly how could you not, then make sure you add this book to your collection. This one is sure to leave you with pleasant dreams.

Gregory Salinas did an amazing job with the delivery of the story
Have a 3sum with pair of sexy doctor ever can imagine so excited one [image error] gezzz!!! i want to be Becca so badly [image error] Dream Come True~~
This story seemed like it was insanity. Dr Kurt had questionable motives in accomplishing his experiments. The whole story was a little questionable if you ask me. Becca gave up a lot of control and fell in love with Kurt twisted as their courtship was. It was all about the science with him, and his hard on. I really had a difficult time being caught up in him like she was. His single minded way of thinking drove me nuts, and Luke was almost as bad. They both deceived her so they could prove that the machine worked "for science" , really? And it was okay with Becca being a psycho scientist herself. It had all the twisted sex in it, but it just wasn't acceptable to me as something she should have put up with. Kurt, the pious smuck was even tied up and restrained and wouldn't admit that he loved her. And he didn't like being submissive to her either, not really. He liked the boss and to restrain her and she liked it too, so there was that.
It's shallow but has depth. It's porn with porn dialogue but didn't annoy me (how? i dont know) and i really could not help enjoying it.
the sex was hot, i liked the characters but they were lacking, but i really liked them... i can't decide on so many things!
The storyline was...um..pretty terrible, like the relationship build was okay but the entirety was just ridiculous. the psychology background extended to that of an intro to psych high school class but either way, as much as i wanted to stop reading, i couldn't.
so i guess just chalk it up to my hate-love shelf because i really hated a lot of it but also enjoyed it just as much
I liked this book! It had a story along with all of the smut, so it was easy to get a little involved with the characters. Becca's easy acceptance of the expiriment was a little far fetched considering her personality, but it made for a fun conclusion.
The whole story centers around the expirament. During the trials, Dr. Foster is able to see Becca's dreams/fantasies in picture by hooking her up to the Dream Machine while she's asleep. His whole theory is that if the fantasies are acted out exactly, the patient's response will be greater than any other baseline results. Becca's fantasies were fun, not overly raunchy, and pleasurable to read about!
Dr. Kurt Foster has invented a machine that reads your brain waves and then draws a picture of your dreams. One night a colleague steals it and uses it on Dr. Foster's assistant Rebecca. Kurt doesn't want to force Rebecca to help him with proving to the board that his machine can do what it was designed for. A plan is devised to make like Rebecca has decided that she wants to volunteer.
Somewhere along the way his feelings become involved and he fights it at every turn. Becca has already fallen for him, and feels that he does love her. Can they overcome the walls they have built around their hearts? Will they be set free or will the hurt be too much?
Oh wow, this was an amazing read! Yes, the premise is far out there but the story is so sweet! Big tough doctor who doesn't believe in love falls for his student assistant years ago. She is about to become a doctor and he can't wait any longer when an opportunity falls into his lap. She is repressed on all sorts of levels after living with a manic depressive mother all her life. They connect through sex and discover her fantasies and their feelings. Both are stubborn to the end but finally let go enough to trust their feelings!
So while I was reading this book I was very confused. It was very graphic and a little too out there for me. But yet I couldn't put the book down. I found it fascinating that I was experiencing the same discomfort and embarrassment that the Doctor was trying to eradicate from Becca. I think that, though I was uncomfortable for many parts, I believe that if you were looking for something totally out there and testing your limits then its a good book to pick up
The sex was hot in this no doubt, but something with this story didn't click with me. Which really surprised me because I've really liked everything else I read by this author. Oh well, I can't love them all.
Hot book!Sighhhh Kurt and Luke so freaking sexy! i have to say I am totally not into threesomes but that scene was the hottest thing I've read in a long time and made me seriously reconsider!! This book is NOT for people who are shy or introverted about anything sexual =]
This is the first book I have listened to by Jayne Rylon. It will not be the last. The story and characters really grabbed my attention. I look forward to continuing listening to the series and her other books.
This is not my favorite Rylon book but it isn't bad. As usual, the sex scenes were very hot but I just didn't feel connected or involved with Kurt and Rebecca. My curiosity about Luke prompted me to purchase book 2 of the series
OK, the premise is very shaky and I cannot imagine a scenario like this anywhere other than the latest porno, but still a great story once you bought into it. Some pretty creative scenes, too.
The only saving grace to this book was that the sex was hot. The premise was out of a bad porno, and the writing style from a sappy romance. Not up to her usual writings.
I'd say 4.5 stars. Great concept, well executed story, and if you can suspend some disbelief on the science, a great smutty read. Love the explicit and varied quantity of smut!
One of my book group reading challenges I’m involved set a goal to read the oldest unread book in my collection. Imagine my shock and excitement when I found it was actually a Jayne Rylon (someone I love to read) book. How could that be possible? Was I just not in the mood for medical style scenes and somehow forgot to go back?
Whatever the reason, I’m glad I went back. How could I have slept on such sexy fun? I mean, who wouldn’t love their sexy dreams be analyzed by the hottie doctor who makes your blood boil but you’ve been too afraid to cross those lines? And for the good doctor to take a starring role in making them come true? Will reality be better than fantasy? And…if you succeed in this venture not only do you graduate, but your internship becomes a partnership?
But can you do all this and not fall in love? Because isn’t love just a lie people make up to explain out of control hormones? This is definitely my kind of yum!
