I've written fanfic and made vids in a really ridiculous number of fandoms. Over the years, I've also used the pseudonyms shalott and the lady of shalott. All my work is available on the AO3 and you can also find me online in various other places.
You are welcome to add and review any of my stories here if you like, and I also love comments at AO3 or any of my other online haunts. I also have a blanket permission policy for noncommercial transformative work of my work (eg, podfic, remix, fanart, etc) -- I love to be linked to anything you do, but you don't need to ask permission.
3.5 The budding world-building in Finding Water made me perk up with excitement, especially since it was combined with the captor/captive trope from Astolat's fab Life Sentence. The thrill of how the Dom/Brian situation would play out, sprinkled with horror elements in a harsh dry world similar to that of Thea Hayworth's Sevener (but decidedly less rich and macaber)... I read this fic breathlessly. But with the abrupt ending the promising plot threads were abandoned, and my expectations based on the building chemistry between Dom and Brian weren't met. Finding Water screams for a sequel to make this a 5 star read.
When it comes to fanfiction, I prefer canon divergence to AUs, which is the main reason I put this fic off so much. But eventually I had to give in because there just aren't enough Brian/Dom fics in the world, and this is not just a Brian/Dom fic but a fic by Astolat so it hits my buttons by default.
I admit to not really caring about the premise but I do want to read 20k more words of Brian and Dom doing dangerous things together.
