Kind of short story.
But, it posses different psychological aspects of one.
Description is not much specific.
But, terms and flow of way could have explained everything.
Easy read.

It is a good and short prequel to its novel. Concept sounds interesting. I always wanted this type of concept which is mind reading. In Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard, she also showed this thing but she didn't use it like the way I wanted.
Nevertheless, I will read its novel when it will have released.

Just look at these lines. I really felt these:
Tomorrow would be a new day, the grief would be just that little bit smaller. The day after that smaller still, and on and on until rather than mourning his mother's passing, he would just miss her. One day, he might forget about her all together

Short, with a stunning sting!

A VERY short story. At an initial glance it can seem like sweet, loving and caring display between a husband and a wife.
But thats an illusion, as it is superbly told, you find out exactly how dark and twisted the imagery you initially thought and perceived as innocent actually is. I'd say its not a short story with a twist. I would more accurately say its a Short story with a double Nelson that slam-dunks you to ground. The "missing star" is based on that the story was very very short, and the rest of the pages was a the "teaser" for the main book. (Ratio: 1 part story 4 parts teaser, story should at least be longer than the teaser..)

An interesting short prequel to Touch Sensitive. This story tells the story of a woman who's emerging gift of absorbing a persons memories pushes her into committing a crime she never imagined she would commit. It is a very enjoyable short that creates empathy for the character and leaves you wanting to read more.

This is a unique and very interesting prequel to the novel Sensitive Touch. I enjoyed so much that I MUST read the novel soon, very soon. Thankfully, it is available on Kindle Unlimited 😜. So, if you like odd, scary disturbing books go get both the prequel and the novel (by the way- there is a few chapters of this novel at the end of the short, which will lure you in and set the hook, deeply).

A Sensitive Time - a review by Rosemary Kenny

An unusual tale in which the subjects are anonymous throughout.

At the beginning the couple - possibly husband and wife - are in bed...he asleep and she watching over him and listening to his breathing.
We learn that his mother has recently died and that the unidentified female believes he's feeling both guilty and yet relieved by this event as his Mom was in a lot of pain.

What realisation comes to the woman in the story? Why is she convinced of its validity? What ability does the woman suddenly seem to have developed?
Where does the man work? What advantage has his behaviour found in that and other locations?.
How does the man usually seem/behave? What causes the changes?
What does the woman fear will happen before too long?
What does she do next as a result of this realisation?

Touching and suspenceful pequel to the Touch Sensitive series! This enigmatic, one of a kind short story can be read on its own, of course, but is a great and subtle introduction to this thrilling new series by Lee Isserow. It includes a preview of book one Touch Sensitive after the story.

A Sensitive Time begins with a woman watching over her lover, possibly husband, after holding him and soothing his grief as he shed his tears from the loss of his mother. In a long term relationship she has seen as secure, loving, stable, she is about to come face to face with a terrifying new reality!

Writtten with the griping style and imagination only Lee Isserow can bring to us, this is a truly original invention!

So it's 4 in the morning and I can't sleep. I decide to read a short story and well, this was my choice. It was creepy good! I don't want to say anything about the story and spoil it for anyone. But after you read it, you'll know why it was kind of eerie reading this in bed with only the light of my Kindle and my husband sleeping beside me. Yikes!

I enjoyed the style of writing from the author. It flowed and made for a quick read. Very unique story and I'll look for more from this author.

I like this author, but I had a hard time getting into this one. I could believe getting vibes or pictures from items and people, but when the author takes it farther almost to the atoms, I was lost.

This was a different book for me. I think I would’ve liked it more if it would’ve been longer and maybe not so disgusting. I like mysteries and thrillers, but this one went a little too far for me.

Kindle Unlimited or got on freebie day depending on which story/collection. Very odd writer, not a bad thing, unusual, and for someone such as me that read, a LOT {10-20 or more book, a DAY} that's saying something. See the list of books below? That's just not a be nice and list them all, that's the list of books am reading at this sitting, pretty sure that was all of them. If I missed any or it says not verified {because no matter how many hundreds have spent over the last 3 years, plus ku, never says verified on mine unless freebie day etc} the writer can feel free to send them to me lol {serious not serious but mostly serious}. The more I read of him, the more the southern 'bless his heart' kicks in, wondering just how many times and ways that poor boy was dropped on his head, how hard, and if on purpose. Interesting reading though...because of?
