You got me, now I have to wait for the second book. le sigh Great characters, with the main character that seems to want to be good, but isn't always good at it. I can relate :P
Not stellar, but not too bad, either. This is a readable and engaging story set in a well-fleshed world with a plucky heroine. The plot pacing moves along quickly, and the story concludes at a satisfactory ending point with an obvious "What's next?"
Though the prose is occasionally a bit clunky, there were none of the egregious grammar or spelling errors that often plague books like this.
