I have to say this was a very quick read. I got this book done in about two hours and I enjoyed it very much. It had the romance, the suspense, the drama between lovers and secrets. Everything you are looking for a good read was here. The prologue really drew me in. I love starting a book with suspense, then when it goes into the story, you get to learn as you go. Who did this, or why is this going on, it was great to see it all be sorted in front of your eyes. Sean and Ella had some great scenes. I loved seeing them and how they were getting together. Ella had a rule at the beginning that was kinda crazy, but it worked with her. Ella personality was sweet and timid and so when she loosened up in the book it, you saw how much stronger she became. Sean liked Ella from the beginning, but didn't know how to approach it, but he made his move and it worked. You can tell how strong he is in this story, because he had to go through so much with his own family, so seeing him fall for Ella, made him a little more approachable at the end. I guess being the CEO of a major business will do that. There are so many important people in this book that makes this book good and what is needed for the book. Jessie and Trevor for one, Ella's best friends basically. Trevor is really overprotective of Ella an doesn't want her to be rushing into anything. Jessie just wants Ella to be happy and since she is her room mate she will be giving those extra pointers to help out. Sasha, Sean's ex will play a huge role in this book and so will Olivia, Sean's step mom.
This becomes a who done it in this book. Murder, robbery, and all the other little things that happen in this book you wonder who does it. I can't give you any clues, but it had me guessing all the way till the end. I thought it was one person, that turned to be another, then you were like dang it I just have to finish to find out. There are also secrets that are kept, that finally come out and they are pretty important to the story line also. It kept a great steady pace all the way through and I couldn't wait to see what was going to happen at the end.
For my first time reading this book I just have to say I love this book. I enjoyed it immensely and I hope there is more of this to come.

Wretched is a story that I enjoyed a lot. The twists and turns alone held my attention, and while I believed that I had solved the mystery, but the HUGE f-bomb dropping moment that I never saw coming, shocked the hell out of me. Anna Smith had an easy writing style that had me hooked quickly. Her sizzlin' sexy scene goodness definitely kept me warm while temps dropped in Oklahoma, and frankly I wanted more. The hilarious banter between Ella and her best friend kept me laughing hard throughout, and again, the suspense factor is great! There were just a couple of things that kept me from giving it a perfect rating. It took me a bit to warm up to Ella and Sean as it seemed to be difficult to really feel like I was getting to know them, but once I did, I couldn't get enough of them. The other is, the ending seemed a bit rushed after the huge twist that shocked me. Overall, Wretched is a great story, and Anna Smith is an author that I am excited to read more in the future!
This was the first book from this author and it was a good read. This one had a lot going on. There were so many twists and turns in here. Once one issues was solved, another one popped up. Some of the issues just seemed to dissolve with a little explanation but some needed more.
Sean and Ella are a good pair, both from different worlds. Sean just wants to spoil Ella. Ella isn't to sure of Sean. The relationship wasn't about lust or sex. Ella made sure to make him earn it, sort of.
I feel that we didn't get much backstory on Sean until the end of the book. Ella was a bit to timid on certain things.
I voluntarily received a copy for my honest review.
This was a good story. I liked all the characters and where the story was going. The ending was a twist. I knew it was one of the characters but not the other. I still don't know if I liked the twist though. Also what happened with Trevor at the end and what he did to you know who. I won't say to much but nobody said anything. There was some errors in this book. One error had me laughing and reading it again to make sure I read it right. But all in all it was a fun read.
