Jake

I'm killing it on and off the field. Everyone wants me on their team, and every woman wants more than my autograph, if you know what I mean.

Six years ago, she broke my heart. There've been countless women, but none of them hold a candle to Olivia. I never knew what happened, why she left, or where she went.

I'm not letting her get away again.

Olivia

I still think about Jake, and his muscular football God body. He's as hot as ever when I meet him again.

Times are tough. I'm trying to raise Billy myself, as well as run my own business. I want Jake back in my life.

By chance, Jake and I meet again. I'm his real estate agent, and he's looking to buy a new house. I've never needed him more than now, but how will he react to his secret I've been hiding for six years?

Final Play is a full-length romance. No cheating, no cliffhangers, and a guaranteed HEA.

Jake is the college football quarterback, and women want him.
Olivia is the sorority organiser but doesn't even realise it!
They are both having to stay for summer classes so they can graduate! They meet and have explosive chemistry but just seem a bit young and naive. Olivia ends up pregnant and when she is about to tell Jake, she realises that maybe he is just to immature to bed a father, so she keeps it to herself!
6 years later and Olivia and Jake's paths cross again! Neither has really been able to forget the other and when they meet back up, the chemistry is still just as strong as before, if not stronger.
They both take a chance on this new found relationship again but Olivia is keeping something from Jake! His name is Billy.
I really loved Billy's character. He was such a sweet little boy. I liked how Jake had a turning point, where he started to take his life more seriously, after being with Olivia and Billy!
I think both characters had their own insecurities to deal with.
I loved the ending of this book too! Sometimes though I really want to shout at Jake but he's still a loveable guy!

Final play by Alexa Good is a sports romance based around Jake and Olivia. Jake was the obnoxious football player and Olivia was the smart college girl. The book was good with very light sports reference.

This followed a tried and tested formula, it laid its groundwork and created a very clever story around the connection that Jake and Olivia made when they were still trying to graduate from college. Their time at summer school might have been to make sure that they both completed the required classes but they hadn’t bargained on meeting each other and what that introduction would mean for their futures.
Fast forward six years and Jake is a sporting super star, he has everything he could possibly want and is loving life, but that does mean he has forgotten Olivia; far from it, he remembers every little thing about her and the time they spent together, she left a mark on his life that he has never really shaken off, he loved her and her leaving him has almost shaped him into the man he is today…after all how can you form a relationship with anyone else when you still love someone that you can’t have. Although I don’t doubt he could have found her if he had put his mind too it!
But luck is finally on his side, he is buying a new house and his agent is none other than Olivia. Time for him to put their past to bed, once and for all …. or is it?
Seeing Jake again was a bolt from the blue for Olivia, a situation that she might have considered but never really planned for, she had things she needed to talk to him about, things she had kept from him for far too long but now as his real estate agent, she had nowhere to hide, he was her client and their interaction was going to happen whether she liked it or not. But just how would the man that she has loved for the last six years react when he finds out what she has done, how can she possibly explain why she has kept the fact that he has a son from him?
There was an attitude about this book that gave it a lift a little from the norm, I liked the fact that Olivia was trying to set up her own business, that she had been able to support her son without Jake. She didn’t take the easy route with the decision she made but I actually quite liked that about her, I’m not saying that she was right to keep him from her son but I sort of got why she had. But now they are back in contact what are the ramifications for them all?
How can they overcome the void that has been created, well it isn’t exactly going to be easy but they have a connection that just refuses to go away and although I got the impression that neither of them was entirely comfortable with admitting how they felt, I loved the fact that through all the time they had been apart, the bare bones of their connection remained intact.
This was something that was ready to be addressed…were they? The author gave them both the opportunity to show and tell their side of the story, she gave Olivia’s need to plan and control ample room to do its thing but she also gave Jake the room he needed to address the situation with his normal elbows out attitude. They were poles apart but so right for each other that it was hard to fathom.
There were elements of the story that I found a little frustrating but overall I would have to say that this was a couple that I didn’t mind spending some quality time with.

Olivia Munst is having to take a summer school class because she spent too much time with her Sorority to get all her classes completed when she goes to her professor he explains that he has been trying to talk to her all semester about her grade in his class she wants more time and a redo he explains that he cannot change her grade but asks her to go on a date with him and they could have fun she declines and explains to him that she will be going to file a sexual harassment case on him in the Dean's office he tells her what he thinks about her she does the same for him. She will not be graduating with her class.
Jake Mcking is the college quarter back but he has failed to make sure that one of the courses that he took in high school was provided to the college before he started his freshman year and now his coach has told him he will not graduate he needs to talk to the administration off they tell Jake that he didn't provide the information before he started school his freshman year are it would be in his records so he has to go to summer school before he can graduate. He and Olivia happen to live in the same dorm for the summer and they meet in the quad and he is rude and gross and she runs away from him then when she meets her professor she goes to sleep in his class and he asks her if she will go out on a date with his son he is a good student he tells her she gives him her number he says that he will have him call that evening. When Jake calls he and Olivia seem to hit it off he tells her that he can hear her talking where does she live she tells him the dorm and he tells her he does to and to step out in the hall she only has on a tank top and shorts and he steps out of his door in shorts and flip flops he hangs up the phone comes to her door and they are talking and he starts the same rude sexual talk he was doing on the quad and she gets frustrated with his immaturity and rudeness and then she goes in her room and slams the door in his face he doesn't realize that he was really crass and insensitive to her and he doesn't understand so he goes back to his room not realizing that he hasn't been in the dorm in years and left his key in the room he knocks on Olivia's door and asked her to call security for him. This is a romantic comedy drama. It gets frustrating in some places, but is still a very interesting book. I was giving a book to read and I have provided an honest review.

Jake and Olivia have this hot and cold type connection, they meet briefly then are set up ny Jake's father who is a professor at the college they both attended, after a one night fling that his father help facilitate....... Olivia runs off assuming that Jake is just like the rumors of his reputation has let on and doesn't want to continue any sort of relationship, whether it be casual hookup or more than that. Fast forward month later she finds out she's pregnant she tries to tell him, but once again Jake doesn't give her chance before he says something that offends her and she leaves. Fast forward again 6 years later she is in Arizona trying to run a realtor business and Jake's assistant emails her business to buy a house from one of her clients.. handling him after all these years could be very hard especially since has a child he has never met..
The story itself was interesting, I liked the idea and plot behind it, The beginning started out like many football college sports romances, but didn't stay the same as others for long, I know I won't be the popular one here but both Olivia and Jake frustrated me quite a bit, neither of them seemed to know what they wanted! I did have a couple places I found myself confused, but that may have just been me. Regardless of that I did find this fast paced sports romance to be witty, and sexy with a great Epilogue that really wrapped up the story well.

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. I loved this first book by Ms Good! It was well written and the characters were great. Olivia and Jake meet their last year of college. They both need to take a course during the summer to graduate. They are instantly attracted to one another. By the end of the summer Olivia finds herself pregnant and chooses not to tell Jake. She feels he is not mature enough to handle all that goes along with it. Jake is broken heartened when Olivia leaves and doesn't let him know why she just left. Fast forward six years and the two meet again. Olivia is a real estate agent living in Arizona and Jake has made it to the NFL like he always wanted to. Jake is looking for a house in Arizona and Olivia is his agent. The two start to see each other again but Olivia is keeping something from him. Olivia finally lets Jake meet Billy(his son) but has yet to tell him. She wants to yet feels the timing is always off. Olivia and Billy go to one of Jake's games and things come to light. There is an accident and once Jake is on the mend Olivia reveals what she has been keeping from him. The two finally admit they love one another and that they want to be a family. This was a fabulous read!

This is my first story read by author Alexa Good and I have to say I thoroughly loved it. The story of Jake, star Quarterback and Olivia, meeting at summer school . Trying to catch up with schoolwork so they can graduate. They are attracted to each other but their chemistry is good but very combustible. They are ok one minute then all hell breaks loose the next. It is still the same when she finds out she is pregnant and tries to tell him it like "oh here we go again" . I think it's a case of them being young and not listening to each other. 6 years later, hopefully older and wiser things have to change. A good story of two people getting to know each other again, discovering secrets about each other and having to deal with it. Really good, enjoyed it.

Olivia and Jake meet in their last year of college while re doing a course they have to complete to graduate. They have an attraction to each other and do act on it but it doesn't go smoothly and Olivia finds herself pregnant and leaves suddenly. Jake never forgets the one that got away so six years on and there is a chance meeting as Olivia is a real estate agent living in Arizona and Jake has made it to the NFL like he always wanted to. Jake is looking for a house in Arizona and Olivia is his agent. The two start to see each other again but Olivia is keeping something from him. This was a great read full of their journey through hardship, fun, betrayal, emotions and acceptance which all the characters play a great part that will keep your attention throughout. I received this from the author and this is my honest unbiased review.

Final Play is about two unlikely people who seem to have a connection, deeper than they could ever admit to themselves, let alone eachother.  Both have found themselves in summer school to complete their last semester of college because they are short one class for graduation requirements.

Olivia and Jake approach life in vastly different ways.  Where Olivia is a planner, Jake is spontaneous as it gets.  The one thing they have going for them is their combustible chemistry, but will that be enough in the end?

I am new to Alexa Good as an author.  I found she had the ability to draw me in as a writer and keep me wanting to find out what would happen next.  I am looking forward to reading more from her in the future.

This is a formula story, which is fine with me, I was completely entertained and enjoyed it. Alexa Good did a good job of writing from both Olivia and Jake's points of view. In my opinion I thought Alexa Good did a good job of conveying Olivia and Jake's feelings. I could feel the insecurities in both characters. I could see how they both felt. It was interesting how both characters dealt with life in two totally different ways, I felt Alexa Good did a good job with this. I was both humored and frustrated with Olivia and Jake's story, but found myself rooting for them. In my opinion this was a pretty good debut story. I was given an ARC edition for my honest and voluntary review.

Jake and Olivia met when they were both dorming in the same building while attending summer school. They both found out they would not graduate college without being summer classes. Jakes dad actually set them up on a date.
They had one hot night that ended in an argument. I feel like Olivia always wanted to argue about something with him. She left college and never looked back. About 5 years later, she ends up meeting with Jake since she is a real estate agent and he wants to buy a house. Both of them have never forgotten the other. They are like a drug to each other. I thought the book was very good. Looking forward to more by this author

Final Play by Alexa Good

This is a bad boy story about a man Jake who forgot to turn in a grade from a collage coarse, and a girl Olivia who was to busy with outside projects and fails a class and now they both are going to summer classes to graduate college. Olivia had heard the rumors about Jake, love them and leave them but she is horny and he is very good looking. I liked this story because it is something that happens to young people. It is very believable and well written. I enjoyed the way Alexa Good let the story entwined into a great story. I voluntarily reviewed this advanced reader copy.

I voluntarily received and reviewed an ARC from the author. Olivia and Jake have one hot and wild fling that results in little Billy. I honestly don't blame her in the slightest for her not letting him know she was pregnant, but I feel bad for Jake too. Jake feels a connection with Olivia from the beginning and cannot understand just how much his mouth causes trouble with her. He is insanely immature and it takes one drastic event to make him realize it. Great read, hope everyone enjoys it as much as I did.

This book is about Jake and Olivia, who both have to take summer school to get their college diplomas. They have a kid no of chemistry but it comes off as hate and annoyance as they are both so young. They have a one night stand and she ends up pregnant and unable to tell Jake. Fast forward 6 years.... Olivia owns s failing real estate company and has a house listed that Jake wants to buy. Glad they seem to get along a little better after they meet again. Six years later she gets an email that could cause all sorts of problems.

I really really enjoyed this book I have to say Jake was pretty much a tool while in college but he really grew up alot when him and Olivia met back up years later. I dont want to give much away but I LOVED Billy and Jake and their connection. I think Olivia was a bit hard on Jake but things worked out well in the end. Just a wonderful quick read.

Jake and Olivia had a connection in college but she was not sure he was the man for her. When she realized she was pregnant, she decided to not tell him. When they meet six years later, the attraction is still there. How will he handle her secret?

I have read quite a few books with a similar theme. The author does a good job developing the characters. Their chemistry is very evident and I enjoyed the story.

I loved Jake and Olivia's story!  They have a brief fling at summer school after their senior year at college. Their story really heats up when they meet again years later when he is a professional football player and she is reluctantly his realtor.  While Olivia is trying to find the right time to confess to Jake, he realizes that her secret baby is his son!  The HEA is hard earned as they are both conflicted about each other and the events in their lives.

Good story. Well written and entertaining. It was fun to read and hated to see it end. Two people who were young and naive and did something with repercussions. Who learn later that when they grew up emotionally things were different and he found out. I really enjoyed it. I recommend it. I was given this review copy and voluntarily review it.

Final Play by Alexa Good is a great read.
This story starts off like most Sports romances but quickly comes into its own. Parts were a little frustrating as neither seemed to know what they wanted but really that's life.
A fast passed read that was enjoyable to the end. The epilogue really pulls the story together.

I received this book in advance for an honest review. Great characters, some you love some you don't. Jake and Olivia have a fling during summer semester senior year at college. Olivia fears Jake is to immature to face the consequences of their hot hook up and doesn't tell him she's pregnant. Six years later they meet again and the chemistry is still there.
