This book takes hold of you from the very first page. It's heart pounding! Being told from different perspectives makes it enlightening and shows the story from more than just one angle. Could not wait to turn each and every page. Well done Piper.

White Lies is one of those stories that creates an urgent desire within the reader for certain events or outcomes to transpire with the story and its characters. One wants the story to end a certain way or the characters to turn out another because Piper creates a strong tie to the characters through the story telling. You will go through twists and turns before you get to the end and you will love it!

This book did not let down. With the ending of Black Lies, I was super excited to read this novel. I had to go back and re-read, and I would recommend that if its been a while for you as well. This book is exhilarating and gripping page after page.

This book jumps POV on you and while I am always on the fence with that, it works well for this novel. You get a ton of perspective and it really feels like your watching a movie.

I forgot how much I enjoyed Piper's writing. She has such a grace with her characters. Their personalities are relatable, and they feel like people I have known for ever.

The plot of this book is twisted and so much fun to read. You never really know what is going to happen next.

I couldn't put it down. Exhilarating.

I enjoyed the story telling from each of the characters points of view, it added interest to an already anticipated squeal. Full of surprises and unexpected turns the story line definitely does not fall flat. I felt committed to the ending and liked watching how the relationships evolved and became invested in each characters journey. This book did not disappoint and is a fast read as you wont be able to put it down.

After reading Breathing Black I could not wait for White Lies to come out. it is rare for a sequel to be as good as the original and Piper didn't disappoint. The characters are so well written and relatable that you feel like they could be your friends. I can't wait to gift the set to my friends for Christmas.

She’s the sole creator of the darkness while he’s the sole creator of the lightness together they become the greyness that surrounded them.
She’s back in Aspen to get answers, to give answers, and to free herself from what the Black family has done to her.

She was once a lonely girl that nobody knew existed except for the ink in her journal. Her journal was a living breathing creature that held secrets of a life she struggled to forget.

A second chance to correct the mistakes of the past by seeking vengeance to those who lied and cheated.

Overall:
Did you have unanswered questions regarding Landon’s character from book 1? Your in luck. Piper delivered Landon’s perspective dating back to before he arrived in Salt Lake and who sent him there. I so needed these chapters and these words.
White Lies begins where Breathing Black ends with Larkin flying to Aspen to seek her revenge on Franklin.
Book 2 is written with the same fervor as book 1. The writing and delivery is exactly the same as if both books were meant to be one.
If you are like me and enjoy a story full of graphic and raw emotion with no explicit sex scenes then you will be thrilled by this book. It’s challenging finding a well written book not driven by sex but emotions. Piper nailed every emotion of pain, guilt, and love in these two books.
Piper played this one well. I really was anxious to reach the point of discovery, yet at the same time I really wanted all the crevices filled in that I was unaware were left open. So many hidden facets in book 1. Book 2 opened up an array of information I was unaware was available. These characters were so sneaky.

Piper succeeded in her quest at writing perfectly flawed and unpredictable characters. The cast of supporting characters were just as flawed as the main characters adding a burst of color to this story.

Okay

So many different points of view, now and then timelines, with extra flashbacks thrown in between. There were times I didn't know whether I was coming or going. And it seemed to take forever to get there. But overall, if describe the story as "okay". Wasn't awful but it didn't blow me away.

Love!!#

This is an amazing story that completes the series. I read it in two days because it sucked me right in and I couldn't stop. It completes the mystery that the first book left us hanging with. Beautifully written about broken lives searching for survival and peace.

This duology was written well. Some throw backs/parts felt unnecessary or drawn out. This book you see a different side of Landon and you can easily decide who is best for Larkin in the love triangle.

Didn't like the way this ended and too many wasted pages with Landon and Ashley's POV , they should have been left out. Other chacater 's from book one should have been brought back into the story.

I'm still looking forward to Piper Payne's next book, I loved the first book.

Again, mixed emotions during this book. I enjoyed it though and it's a book I will never forget! Can't wait to another!

Piper has a very beautiful and poetic way of writing, her books will grab you by the heart, while reading you will experience just about every emotion possible, from elation to furry to heartbreak. I read white lies in two days, I literally could not put it down! It's the type of book that you can't function properly without knowing what happens next but then when is over your heart aches a little because you know that Larkins story has come to an end. Piper is absolutely one of my favorite authors and I can not wait to read more from her! Well done Piper, you continue to amaze me.

I absolutely loved Breathing Black but White Lies was even better! Piper had me on the edge of my seat the entire book! The perfect amount of twists and turns and characters to love and hate! Piper has such a way with words and painting a vision in the readers mind! I felt like I was in the story myself. She has quickly become my favorite author and I have recommended her books go everyone!

Devoured this duet! My mind is still reeling, I can't stop thinking about these books! They're poetic and had me gripping my Kindle at times. Once you finish Breathing Black dive right into White Lies! Nothing is what it seems. Don't be fooled by what you thought you read in Breathing Black either ... ahhhh I can't say anything else because it will give away the best parts.
