My mum had this Catholic friend who used to give me a bible every time I had a birthday birthday…. Like I had a holy bible a pocket bible an illustrated bible and this one 😭😭I think she wanted me to become religious

This was when I was like 10-11 years old and I actually read this book like twice from front to back simply for the plot and it was actually pretty interesting stuff like the main protagonist just dies and then wakes up again and there was frog rain and stuff and I really liked the shepherds and the sheep.

Prachtige tekeningen die de kern van de verhalen goed verbeelden.

The Children's Bible is a beautiful book/Bible to use with your younger kids on a daily basis. In 365 days it gives a comprehensive overview of the Bible in level that kids can understand and remember.

Each chapter is only several paragraphs long which makes it easy to read in a short amount of time before bed. It tells the Bible accounts accurately at a level the kids will understand without taking away the feel of reading from the Bible.

The pictures are realistic and will stay in a child's mind helping them remember the account and the lesson from it.

This book is great for a kids Bible until they can read, or to use as a nightly devotional for kids in a wide range of ages. I would recommend it for 3 to 9-year-olds, and younger if there are older siblings being read to as well.

Our family uses it right now and all of our kids, (2, 4, & 6), anticipate their father reading to them from this classic and timeless resource.

My favorite children’s Bible. While not a literal translation, it doesn’t eschew the less visited portions of Scripture. There’s an unprecedented portion of Old Testament history in this edition. And I’ve always loved the art.

This was a FANTASTIC transition Bible to go between the traditional children’s bible and the full text.

There were a few places where creative liberties were taken, but no agenda, no doctrinal errors, etc.

I would highly recommend this one for ages 7 & up.

Awesome way to translate the Bible for children. I love the artwork- it is very unique and shows the core aspects of each story very effectively

This is the whole bible in 365 stories. It is put in this way for a reason. My favourite part is when Moses speaks to God face-to-face. Jesus is my favourite character.

We are currently reading this with our kids and are impressed with the quality of the writing and the illustrations. My 6 and 7 year olds especially love it; the 4 year old has the attention span of a gnat when legos aren't involved, so we stick to Read Aloud Bible Stories Volume 1 with him. We also read the KJV, but these story books are great for me, too, as I've only read the Old Testament once all the way through so I don't always remember all of the stories. Really great for families and independent readers!

I can also recommend A Stage Full of Shakespeare Stories: 12 Tales from the world's most famous playwright if you would like a good story-introduction to Shakespeare. I think familiarity of stories is great before you get into these rich older texts!

I bought this to read to my children because it had so many stories. It was the most complete collection I could find. Some of the major stories are broken up into two or three stories, so 365 isn't exactly acurate, but it does cover most of the bible without the lists of who begat whom. It is a good starter, but I don't enjoy reading it aloud, and need to find another. They just sound contrived when read aloud. I've also found subtle changes from what is in the Bible. It seems to me that a book of Bible stories could be written to exactly follow the events that happened, in normal, non-sticky language. Also, I had to, um, simplify the story of David and Bathsheba, because, in my opinion, children don't need even that much detail. It wasn't that bad, but, jeez! Anyway, if nothing else, I can go through it and pick out the less known stories to supplement the books that just have the top ten stories.

I loved this book. This is by far the best book I have read so far.I am a very religous person and believe in god, making me like this book. The book really taught me more about my religon. Also it has some of the greatest moments that I am taught in church like the story of Joseph and his brothers. Also, there is many pages that if I wanted to could of read one story a day.Lastly,it isn't as diffucult to read as the regular more adult like bible.

I read this book as a child, and the stories and pictures helped me to know the Bible better. The illustrations are beautiful! I still have it on my book shelf, and I want to read it to my kids when I have some. It was translated into Portuguese, too, and my family was able to give a friend a copy for her family.

This is the book that introduced me to the Bible at age five.
It's gorgeously illustrated via paintings that don't seem to fade from my memory even after all these years.
Bought this on a whim and was transported to my childhood instantly.

A good inititation into Bible stories, but very simplified, and it has lots of illistrations. Easy to understand, so it's a good way to catch the attention of younger kids.

Heading into some at-home theology discussions in our home education program. I am certain this will lead to many interesting discussions with my nine year old atheist.

Read it in my school days. All I can say is fiction is may be- the bible has some really good allegories to take from it.
