Even as a child, Sharon created worlds where life might pose challenges but where unlikely heroes wielded magic for the good of all. In the end, ordinary people won the battle against darkness.

She did grown up things like graduate high school and college, get married and have kids. But she never strayed too far from the door into the mystical realms of story.

Once she had children of her own, they traveled to Narnia with her. She made it her goal to introduce them to her old friends. With them, she made new friends at Hogwarts and rode dragons with Eragon. Together they embraced the joy found on the other side of the magical portal: reading.

Sharon sings stories and weaves spells to transport others to that fantastical place where the weak are heroes. A land where quest completion requires strong character, not a mighty sword arm. Sharon believes three things: Magic is mystery; Hope offers the greatest help; and Success comes to those who refuse to give up a dream.

Two complete opposites find something amazing without any physical contact then the two meet and it all seems to be lost. I would have loved more of the two after they met. I feel like their story is left hanging. I want to know what happens next and the author doesn't provide that. This is why I gave Reality Meets its Match three stars.

Ronnie Shay has zero interest in a boyfriend. Her mom, however, thinks that she's an old maid. To get her off her back, she signs up for a program called Virtual Match. This allows her to have a fake boyfriend, without well, the boyfriend. Everything seems to be going well until her fake boyfriend wants to meet. That's when everything unravels.

This is an easy read and the author definitely has a deft touch with dialogue. However, I found myself wanting more. The end is very abrupt, leaving me wondering how Ronnie was going to handle Marcus meeting her family as Marcus and not the fake boyfriend. The author mentions that Marcus had experience some type of trauma at some point in his life, but what that trauma is, is merely hinted at buy never explored. Ronnie herself has a deep childhood trauma that is why she doesn't want to date.

There is also the inherent dishonesty plot line. I don't want to get into spoilers but I'm not sure if the actions taken by one of the characters - even if that character just couldn't manage social interactions - are forgivable. It was definitely a part of the plot that I wanted explored more that wasn't.

In the end this had a lot more potential than it showed and could have benefited as a novel rather than novella.

Ronnie has a demanding job, zero interest in dating and a mother who is convinced she's becoming an old maid. When she finds Virtual Match, she finds the answer to her dilemma is a the made up Michael Bond.
Marcus Jordan seems to forget how to talk and walk when Veronica Shay is around. They barely exchanges pleasantries in the elevator at work. Pretending to be Michael Bond through Virtual Match helps him connect with Veronica but it's his own texts and emails that keep her interested.
I loved this take on dating. I really wanted to find out more about both their pasts that impacted their present day characters and would have loved an epilogue about where it went after the last chapter.

Very Cute story. Quick and good for waiting rooms or before bed. Marcus likes a woman in his office building but he is a bit awkward. He sees that she signed up for a virtual reality dating website so he hacks in and pretends to be the man who is supposed to contact her. This story is about their email/texting relationship. The reason I only gave it stars is because I would have liked to hear more about why Marcus had such a bad experience with girls, I wanted Ronnie to confront her family about her past so she could move on, and I thought an epilogue would have been good. Overall, it was an enjoyable read.

I'd like to say I like this book, I just wanted to like it more. This is a book I'm having a hard time reviewing. I want to like it more but there were a few things that took away from the story. The author brought up a few threads that were never fully explored or left hanging. I kept waiting for a resolution but one never came. It seemed as though the story was just getting going and it ended so this disappointed me a little. I do think the story is very creative and has a lot of potential.

I received a copy of this manuscript from the author, my review has been voluntarily submitted.

I read a lot of romance, and it's been a while since I've read one where the male lead isn't a possessive alpha male. It was refreshing. Don't get me wrong, I like those other types of stories, but I was in the mood for something different and this fit the bill.

Ronnie is a woman who is serious about her career and doesn't want a man in her life. She also wants her family to get off her back about it, too. She was a believable, relatable character, and as the story unfolds, her hesitation in romantic commitments makes sense.

Marcus is a computer geek who's too shy to approach the woman who he's interested in. Does he go a little too far in his quest to get the girl? Some may say yes. I say, maybe, but people do strange and crazy things for love after all.

The chemistry between the two main characters was obvious, even via text message. :) I really enjoyed this story and would give it 4.25 stars.

**I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book**

This story left me high and dry and wondering what happens now? Ronnie still isn't comfortable being around men, Marcus is still self-conscious of his geeky-ness, and her family has no idea what happened to her or that she lied about how she meet Michael Bond/ Marcus.

Opposites attract is the oldest saying that we tell people and in the case of Ronnie and Marcus that saying is true. However, I wouldn't call what they had was attraction...After Ronnie discovers who Michael Bond is the story just kind of ends with them setting terms for a fake double date with her brother.

It was nice to see that Ronnie became a strong woman even after what happened in her past. She didn't let it break her down, just build up walls around her heart. It is refreshing to see a strong independent woman who isn't determined to find a guy and thinks she needs one to survive.

I think a lot of us have been in the position where online dating or chatting is easier for us to do until the dreaded meeting comes into question. That's what happens with this book, a fake boyfriend suddenly wants to meet up for real and Ronnie is scared. She doesnt know that the man she has been talking online to, Michael, is actually Marcus who knows her and is too shy around her because he is better with computers than people. I loved this book because it seems to be something that happens a lot in reality now. I would've liked more knowledge of what happens in the future like maybe an epilogue or something but it was still a good book

Virtual Match, a match made in reality! Welcome to Virtual Match! I loved this online premise to meeting someone, except for the interesting curveball of Ronnie (Veronica) wanting to get her family off her back for being 30 and single. Life is unexpected and although initially on edge about Ronnie's prospective virtual boyfriend, Marcus (aka Michael) I have to say the the ensuing "text" relationship they develop is both witty, sweet, and holds a little bit of sexy. This short read turned out to be delightful, although I have to say the ending felt too abrupt for me. Then again, I fell in love with the couple so much so I simply wanted just that little bit more.

This could have been really great. Instead at the end we're left hanging. There's no indication of a continuing story either. We're left wondering a lot of things and I dislike that immensely in books. It was a cute story and I really like Marcus. Although Ronnie has been through something horrible and her trust in men has diminished I had a hard time liking her. She was kinda mean and acted holier than thou a lot at least in my opinion. It was really hard to root for her to be happy because of her attitude. I think Marcus deserved better because he's got his hang ups too.
My opinion though.

Reality Meets its Match is a rather quick but very enjoyable read. The storyline and characters are much more relatable than what I have experienced in a more "alpha" lead. It's refreshing in a sense to see the male lead be a bit more reserved and at times awkward. I do feel like the back story was lacking slightly but otherwise I loved it. This is a book that I would read again and again! I'd recommend this book for certain!

his book ended so abruptly I was left not knowing what happened with the characters!! I'm assuming Ronnie and Marcus made it as a couple, Ronnie was able to overcome her childhood trauma??
I enjoyed the storyline, using a Virtual Boyfriend especially for someone like Ronnie who went through so much trauma as a child that she didn't trust "real" men I just wish there was closure!
