Danny, un jeune anglais très sportif, est sujet à des crises d'épilepsie. Tout l'entourage est au courant ; camarades, maîtres et maîtresses. Ils le considèrent tous comme un enfant normal et il n'en est fait ni drame, ni mystère. Mais le nouveau professeur de gymnastique, inquiet des risques d'accident, lui interdit la natation et tous les sports. Danny se voit soudain privé de sa discipline préférée et interdit de compétition. Frustré, il se braque et devient le garçon le plus indiscipliné de l'école... Un jour, un événement dramatique se déroule sous ses yeux. Comment va-t-il réagir ?

Unfortunately now quite out of date, but when it was written, it was a very good introduction for elementary school-aged kids on what epilepsy is and how just because a classmate may have epilepsy doesn't mean they need to treat them any different than anyone else. A very good matter-of-fact book.

Years ago this book helped me come to terms with my husband's epilepsy and to understand more about it and to help dismantle the stigma around it. Even though this sounds so quaint, my husband is still not happy to reveal the fact that he has epilepsy and doesn't like to discuss it.
