The higher you soar, the harder you fall…
Only a week ago, Noah Hardy was the biggest Rockstar on the planet. Besides his captivating good looks and deep, sexy voice, he was well known for his wild parties, crazy sexy life and uninhibited lifestyle.
It seemed like everyone on the planet was a fan.
Even me.
But when everyone is watching, you’ve got to be extra careful not to screw up.
And boy, did Noah screw up.
Just like that, everyone turned on him – even his own band. And Noah responded by completely disappearing.
Which made him seem even more guilty.
And somehow it was up to me, Laurel Barnes, to find him and get an interview.
I was only after his story. Nothing else.
Certainly not his rock hard body.
Definitely not his heart.
But sometimes when you go looking for one thing, you end up finding something completely different.
Something better.

Unplugged is a full-length, stand-alone romance novel with an HEA, and for a limited time is packed with a lot of special extras to thank my loyal readers!

Everyone had turned their back on Noah, believed him to be the scum of the earth. From rock god to nothing, Noah is trying to just find some peace. The connection Noah feels with Laurel, a woman he just met is instant. However Laurel has not lied to Noah about who she is, she certainly has omitted a few things.

Overall had a unique story, I did feel that Laurel was a bit wishy washy with the way she is willing to give up everything for Noah. When you first are introduced she is out for one thing, a story. Wish their had maybe been a bit more build up between the two before straight to having sex.

I generally like rock star romances. This one... not so much. Honestly, it had nothing to do with the way the book was written. It was all me and my preferences at fault here.

First, I'm not sure the type of music Noah plays, but when seedy bars, mosh pits where compound fractures occur, and open drug use are rampant, it's not really my thing. I picture dark, angsty, pimply faced teenagers creating a talentless band that really just makes noise and screams into the mic while performing dark rituals in the basement of one of the members' mom's house. They name their band Bleak Tomorrow or something equally horrible. Bleh.

Therefore it's hard to take Noah seriously as a hero, especially since he is probably mid to late thirties still visiting seedy clubs and battling in mosh pits, referring to other band members' wives as "old ladies".. like I said, it's not for me.

I did like Laurel. Strong, smart, career driven... oh yeah, until she meets Noah and within ten minutes is having sex with him in said seedy bar (gross). Then... three sex-filled meetings later, is completely in love and tossing her career for him, especially since she explains in full detail how she has never had a boyfriend because her career is so important to her (which I guess was kind of the whole point). Not that she didn't do the right thing, it was just unbelievable.

The whole book and romance was just a little too trashy for me. I have never been one to like biker romances, which is what this book felt like. I didn't understand the connection between them. Sex is not an understandable reason enough to fall in love and base a whole relationship. Maybe if it wasn't rushed and they had time to get to know each other, more than just pillow talk? Maybe then. Only maybe though.

I can sorta see how people like it. It just wasn't right for me.

I absolutely loved this new one from Sienna Valentine...a "murder mystery", a fall-from-grace comeback and a love story all rolled into one exciting and fast-paced read.
Noah and Laurel made a perfect opposites attract couple...she was the one who saw the good in him when his own bandmates turned against him and although she had ulterior motives for getting close to him (at first)...she was the one who saved him, while he saved her right back.
It was hot, it was emotionally deep and I read this in one sitting.
The whole time I was reading I kept hearing Muse's song Absolution in my head as the "theme" music...fitting because both of these characters were seeking absolution for their own wrong doings while fighting for their futures. A must read for rock book lovers!

I was given an ARC in exchange for an honest review. Noah Hardly is a rock star who had it all, until he hits rock bottom. Laurel is a journalist on the hunt for the story that will be her salvation. Noah goes home to lick his wounds from the backlash that happens when he protects his friend/bandmate from a crazed fan and now the proof of what he saw is nowhere to be found. Laurel hits up all the haunts she thinks Noah could be in and when she finds him the sparks fly. Laurel gets to see the real Noah Hardly, behind all the hype, and finds he is so different than what she was expecting. When the smoke clears will they be able to stand strong when every secret see the light of day?

Laurel a reporter and she’s arrived at Noah’s hometown to get his story. He’s a rockstar that has fallen from Grace and everyone including his band has turned their back on him. Right from the start I have to agree with some of the other reviewers. Noah will screw anything and he’s a total jerk while at it.Laurel jumped his bones the moment she met him, just like any groupie, honestly the groupies might have waited a second or two. She’s a reporter assigned to get a story so integrity went right out the window. But once you get past their unsavory meeting and hook up, there’s a story here. There’s a murder mystery, there are cheaters and hidden agenda afoot. You’re sucked into all of this quickly and on this roller coaster ride that won’t stop. The author made Noah such a jerk in the beginning of this book and she really didn’t have to because he was really a good guy. I actually loved this story and because of the rough beginning I’m giving it four stars and recommend it.

Story good

But the ending was a Drop off. No idea what happened or what he was doing in the future. No sequel.

I received a copy of this from the author in exchange for an honest review. As with many of Sienna's books, i like the idea but feel it could be better developed. Having said that i got into this book quickly and i liked Noah from the start and felts sorry for him. I liked Laurel as well and who doesn't like a rock star alpha?!

So, womanising rock star Noah accidentally kills a fan at one of his shows. Journalist Laurel is on the hunt for an amazing story that will revive her flagging career at her magazine.
She sets out to get close to Noah to get the answers she needs for an amazing story, even if that means exposing him in the process. As with all the authors books, things happen very quickly and within 10 minute of meeting each other, Laurel and Noah are in the back room, minus their clothes! As time passes Laurel realises that she believes Noah when he tells her the death of the fan was an accident and he was acting in self defence. Most of Noah's band don't believe him and the police definitely don't so a criminal case against him is looming.
Laurel has a hunch that there is something wrong and sets out to prove Noah's innocence even if that ultimately means she has to let him go. After all, he won't want her anyway when he realises that she's being keeping her job from him since they met.
Armed with the evidence she needs to clear Noah's name, Laurel tells Noah the truth about her and the circumstances around the reason she met him on the first place. She hands him the USB drive with his proof and tells him that everything they've shared was real and that she still cares for him but that she can't exploit him by running the story she had planned to. She wants him o clear his own name but Noah turns around and leaves her there starting at his back. Laurel spends the next few days wallowing in self pity and room service until she gets a call from her editor saying Noah had requested Laurel to do an exclusive interview with him explaining the facts around the death. The interview goes well and Noah thanks Laurel for believing him even when his friends and band mates didn't. They end up wrapped around each other confessing their love for each other and live HEA

The description of this book doesn't do it justice. This book is way more intriguing than how it is described!

We meet Noah Hardy--hot rock god that has just had his world turned upside down. Instead of running halfway around the world to get away from what is happening in his life, he returns home to his roots and his sanctuary from everything, the Graveyard Club. This club has special meaning to him and he has kept it a secret from the press and everyone else in order to not taint the magic it holds for him. Trying to figure out how he is going to solve the massive predicament he now finds himself in, he doesn't expect to run into a woman that looks like everything he wants and he everything he feels he doesn't deserve.

Laurel is a journalist for music magainze Slipstream, and looking for the story that can either save her writing career, or permanently end it. Knowing what Noah Hardy faces as the result of a fan death at his band's last concert, she feels there is more to the story than what has been revealed, and heads to Seattle to track down Noah and find out the truth.

As the two meet at the Graveyard Club, they share a night of passion so intensely hot, that they each keep coming back for more. Now comes the hard part....slight spoiler ahead....

This is an intensely hot read with a lot of mystery/suspense thrown in--you will not be disappointed! I love how Sienna writes and how her books start off with a bang (pun intended)!

Unplugged starts out with Noah at his lowest. He has a bad reputation, frequently getting into fights and only having a close relationship with a few friends, not even all the members of his band. On top of that, he’s big, muscled, tattooed, scary and hot! Noah is essentially grounded, stuck at home because of an incident at a festival. It seems like everyone has deserted him and he feels as if he deserves it.

Laurel is a rock journalist also looking to redeem herself after the debacle of her last story. She thinks Noah is her ticket back as long as she doesn’t tell him the full truth of her interest in him. She manages to find Noah’s one hideout club and within minutes, the two of them are having sex in the back room. Laurel is convinced that there is more to Noah’s current situation and she is determined to find it.

What starts out as no attachments sex slowly turns into a romance. When Noah’s situation takes a turn for the worse and most of his band deserts him, Laurel is determined to clear Noah’s name. Which she does, but in the process loses him when he finds out who she really is. Thankfully, the story resolves with a good ending, no cliffhanger here.

This was an interesting mix of romantic suspense and rock star heat. It’s an easy and enjoyable read with lots of steamy scenes.

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I give this a solid four stars. It's told in dual point of views and has a HEA and no cliffhanger which I appreciate. It's a fun, quick read. And the sex times are hot!

Laurel, is one kickass, strong woman who is determined to find the truth about Noah Hardy, a dirty talking bad boy rockstar. He's hiding out in his hometown after he finds himself in trouble and on the edge of some serious charges and an arrest. Laurel wants to get to the bottom of things and write the comeback story to save her journalist career. But what she doesn't expect is to see a complicated, loyal, and loving man under the rocker image, and fall in love with him. Their chemistry is undeniable from the moment they lock eyes with each other. The characters are strong and vulnerable at the same time. I loved both of them.

My only disappoint was the ending. I felt that it fell a little flat and could have been better developed. There could have been more to up the drama and pull at the heart strings a little more. As much as I love HEAs, the epilogue felt rushed and thrown together. It didn't match the pace or give Laurel and Noah justice. It just felt like there should have been more. It's the only reason I didn't give it five stars.

It's still definitely worth reading and would recommend it.

What a great new story from the author that had romance, a murder mystery and rock n roll all rolled into one.
Noah Hardly is a rock star who had everything when it was all gone- he was accused of murder and most of his band mates believed the worst about him. He left the band and went to the place where he felt he would be safe and free from the journalists while he was trying to get the murder charges taken care of.
Laurel is a journalist on the hunt for the story when she locked on the Noah Hardly story and went looking for him. She found him and started investigating it. What she found was him and that he didn’t kill anyone. She couldn’t tell Noah she was a journalist. She ended up falling in love with a rock star.
Noah sees Laurel and she doesn’t tell him what her job is and they start out having no attachments sex but it then develops into a relationship with emotional attachment because they are falling in love. Laurel is determined to clear his name and give him his life back, even if its without her. Which she does, but in the process loses him when he finds out who she really is. There are so many twists and turns to this story –Does she get him back or will Noah not forgive her?

This was a wonderful story with a great ending.
My rating: 4.5 stars ****

My second Sienna Valentine book, and I enjoyed this one more than I did Kellan. Told in dual POV, Noah Hardy isn't the hot mess of rock star the media is portraying him to be; he's actually trying his best to regroup after an incident occurred and has the potential for Noah to be locked up for some time. Laurel is doing what she can to revive her journalist career, including getting the inside scoop on Noah. But the more time she spends with Noah, the more she falls for the man behind the rocker persona. But will Noah forgive Laurel once he discovers the reason why they met?

I love how Noah is portrayed in this book; there are many layers to Mr. Hardy, he did what was the right thing, only to have his actions blow up in his face and for everyone to turn their backs on him. I mean dang, with friends like that, who needs enemies? And yeah, Laurel only had one plan in mind at the start of the book, but we know how these things will go and they usually work out for the best. Of course there are twists and turns along the way, but that is what makes the story that much more interesting to read. And let's not forget: this is written by Ms. Valentine, who certainly knows to write hot and smutty sexual scenes and this book is no exception!

I had read another book by this author for review this was included in that read. I have to say you are for an real treat. This is a rock star book. I have to say that it will not matter if you are a fan of rock star or not you will still enjoy this book.

Noah Hardy was the lead singer of Cut Up angels. He was known as the bad boy , womanizer, a guy that got in fights, and a famous rock star. Well at least that is what the fans saw. Only ones truly close to him saw something more. He never let his true self be shown. Now here he is in some serious trouble, could even face some time, and the band is falling apart. When you go through hard times you truly get to see who your true friends are. Once the blinders if off the truth could really hurt.

Laurel Barnes was an investigative journalist for the Slipstream. She felt like she had done enough mistakes and that it was important to get Noah Hardy’s story. She saw what the fans saw but what she was not expecting was to see the true man behind the imagine. The man who cared for his home town and his friends. The man who would do anything to help someone in need.

Darkness is surrounding Noah. He truly needs a light in this darkness and Laurel is just that. How is he going to take it when he finds out the secret that Laurel is keeping from him? Can they find the proof they need to keep Noah out of prison?

Please note: I received a copy of Unplugged as an ARC in exchange for an honest review (Thank you!)

Noah’s having a rough time. When a man was killed at one of his concerts, everyone was calling him a murderer. Most of his band members were turning against him, but he couldn’t prove the guy had a knife. Laurel was sent from her magazine to get the scoop and blow the story wide open…but now she’s starting to fall for Noah. Is she losing her perspective? Can she keep her feelings out of this for the story? Both Noah and Laurel have tortured pasts and the path they travel to each other just may redeem them both. Or will it?

Unplugged is a sexy, all-consuming, one-of-a-kind romance that will rivet you to the spot until you’ve soaked it all up like a sponge! The plot is well thought out and the perfect attention getter (and keeper). The by-play between the hero and heroine is flirtatious and seductive. As the story progresses, so does the smokin’ hot sex, written with scorching detail. Unplugged just may make you sizzle and burn, it’s that hot! You can feel the emotion and the chemistry like you’re right there. I loved it and highly recommend it! 5 Stars!

I received an Advance Reader Copy of this book through Hidden Gems ARC program in exchange for an honest review. The opinions in this review are my own. I found both the main characters of Laurel and Noah very relateable. Laurel started out as gritty, edgy and guarded the story arc she takes throughout the book make her very human and real for readers. Noah is also guarded but he has his own reasons and secrets for being that way. The story that Valentine has told in this book is realistic, raw, gritty and passionate. The plot is very well fleshed out and solidly written, it really drives the story. I was easily sucked in to the wonderful world of this book. I definitely have a definite perspective and respect for journalism and the music industry. This book is so much than just a romance. This story brought out many emotions for me as I was reading. I felt it was a very good experience for this reader and I hope others will agree. I encourage other readers to give this book a chance and see what they think about it.

WOOT WOOT!!! love me them rock stars!! such bad boys

Noah is a bad boy rock star...always seems to be in trouble, but this time he's in more trouble than usual
Laurel is the reporter wanting his story; she wants to hear his side of the story. she wants the scoop to re-energize her journalistic career.
Laurel doesn't expect Noah to be a normal guy, she was expecting a typical rock star. the more she gets to know him the more her heart falls for him. their chemistry is off the charts and instantaneous. his dirty talk...sigh!
I love Noah, he's such a sweet bad boy. the way the author peeled his layers back one by one was well done.
Laurel is trying to do the right thing and knows that once Noah finds out that she's a reporter, he's going to walk away ~ he's going to leave her and she's afraid he'll hate her. she puts her career on the line to save him knowing she's going to lose him
I recommend this book to one and all!!!

Noah and Laurel meet when she purposely seeks him out to find out the truth of what happened at the festival and how a man died. Noah is in hiding and finds himself almost entirely alone. Most of his band has abandoned him in his time of need and no one seems to believe his account of what happened. Laurel sugar coats what she does for a living but opens up to him about the rest of her life and what she is like. We do find that Laurel is used to men leaving her behind because she feels she isn't enough and her job coming first is a big put-off for them. Noah is intrigued by Laurel and finds himself trusting and depending on her more and more. When the truth comes out and Laurel is able to save him, Noah finds himself trying to get past the betrayal and open his heart up to her again. It was a quick moving story and intriguing enough to keep turning the pages to see how it was going to end.

I really enjoyed it. Noah, the front man of Cut Up Angel goes back to his home town to get away from the press and figure things out. Laurel, a journalist, meets up with Noah trying to get the real story behind what happened and she find more then she bargains for.

Laurel and Noah connect on so many levels but either one of them are willing to make the big step and say something. People always say don’t believe everything you read in the press about others. Being in the industry herself, she finds that there are many layers to Noah and the more she finds out the more she falls for him. Noah, always been the loner of the group but now he reflects and wants more than the hook ups and groupies that surround him.

This story give you a little murder mystery, hot sex and two people that find each other among the storm.

Unplugged: A Bad Boy Rockstar Romance by Sienna Valentine is exactly what the title describes: A Bad Boy Rockstar Romance. The chemistry between Noah and Laurel is explosive.

With my very limited knowledge of the harder side of rock and mosh pits etc, I found this book VERY intriguing and wonderfully sweet despite the darker setting of a Seattle climate and a looming legal issue.

This is the second book I have read by Sienna Valentine and am 2 for 2 with the loving it vibe.

This book has deception, lust, angst, chemistry, and best of all, a happy ending.

I absolutely loved this book , Sienna Valentine done a great job with this one . Noah was a rocker , lead singer of the band and of course he lived a wild life but most of all he was a great person. While at a venue playing when something bad happens and next thing you know he is possibly being charged with murder .. It was Laurel job to get the story to get it put out there for the world . On a hunch Laurel ends up finding Noah while he was hiding out in his home town . But everyone had turned there back on Noah not believing what Noah had said . But for some reason Laurel believes Noah but now she has to figure out why and what to do ... Another great story

I received an ARC ofvthis book for free in exchange for an honest review. Noah is the broken lead singer of band. Laurel is a reporter out to get the story on why Noah killed a man during a concert. It turns out that Noah is nothing like what Laurel expected. Instead of a rowdy, angry man, she finds a broken, sad man. While trying to get the real deal scoop from him, she falls for him. And him for her. What happens when he finds out she's a reporter? Can he forgive the lie? There's a lot of hot sex between the two, but there's also a lot of romance that makes this a great feel-good read.

Noah is a lead singer in a band. He is full of tats and is a partier. What you might think of a typical rock star. But there is something that dark inside of him. Something happened that has him wanting to rethink his life.

One bandmate is betraying but what will she uncover. Will Noah discover her secret before it is to late. Will Laurel ha e her story like she wants or will she get a surprise.

first time reading anything by this author. well written. a story about a rocker bad boy being accused of murder. He insists it's self defense, actually he was protecting his bandmate. everyone turns against him, except his agent and Quinn, his bandmate. in walks laurel music journalist who wants his story. she is not completely honest with him about what she does but their connection tion is instant and hot. she believes him and sets out to prove his innocence, but at what cost, the man she has fallen in love with, or is he able to get past it. good read

This was a fast paced geat read that I really enjoyed. It wasn't so much about the rock stars as a group but more just their lead singer and how after a tragedy, everyone turned their backs on him, except for one woman. Oh, she had an agenda of her own at first but after meeting him and seeing past the reputation, she liked what she saw even more. This is definitely another awesome story by Ms. Valentine that you don't want to miss! I would recommend this book to everyone.

I purchased another book and this was included as a bonus.

This book was free in one of Valentines other books. wasn't expecting to like it so much but I feel it had just enough murder mystery + secrets + love story to keep me reading. though I've marked it "reading" for 10 days. ..I've really read it in 1. couldn't put it down. Noah was just a torn soul whose story I needed to know. Laurel was perfectly endearing and fate brought them together.
