Just when Arykah Miles-Howell thought she had her life under control, she gets knocked off her feet when her past catches up to her. As the first lady of Freedom Temple of God In Christ, Arykah has the weight of the congregation on her shoulders. She’s in counsel constantly teaching forgiveness but Arykah struggles to take her own advice and live the life of a preacher’s wife when she becomes face to face with someone that she thought she’d never see again, the very person that had scarred her for life. Will Arykah practice what she preaches or will she put her own faith to the test and open her heart to allow healing to come in?
I love the The Lady Elect Series, to me this was the best one. Lady A and Her team is a force to be reckon with. I loved the way her characters referenced another one of her books, I was like go ahead Nikita Nichols you do the darn thing. I love the way her team has her back. Lady A is far from a traditional First Lady and I think this what makes this character so lovable. I really hope there is another one real soon.
Lady A is back! Lady Elect Arykah has been through a lot since becoming First Lady. However, just when things seem to be looking up for her her path takes a turn in a different direction. Will the past come back to stir up more drama our will it teach her a valuable lesson?
I truly enjoyed this book. Even though it has been a while since I read the first 2 books in the series, this book allowed me to remember everything from the beginning of the series. I can’t wait to read book 4 to see what happens next. This book left me shocked and laughing.
Like the previous 3 installments of this series, and truthfully every title I have read from this author, there is no shortage of excess, over the top shock value. For what’s considered Christian fiction, I was surprised to see so much profanity in this one. It’s a light and quick read.
Lady Elect 3 is a certified page turner in my book. It was definitely worth the wait. As always Nikita Lynette Nichols served us a novel that took us on a roller coaster ride of emotions. I had SEVERAL moments of belly rolling laughter, shed tears, got mad, had imaginary pearl clutching moments and a few girl bye moments. The characters are real, raw and uncut. The situations are relatable and the solutions are realistic. This book is a must read, it's well written and can be read as a stand alone but I admonish all first time readers to go back and start with "A Woman's Worth"
Lady Arykah is NOT your average First Lady. She's a weave wearin, custom fit & shoe sportin, house selling, food lovin, BBW. She loves God, her man, her dog, her Team, her food and the members of Freedom Temple but don't get it twisted, she goes from 0 to 100 real quick. She would give you the world if she could, but mess with any of the above and she's coming for you. She's a professional and classy lady, but she can be ratchet, raw and uncut. This book is about friendship, forgiveness, family and love. Join Lady A and see if she can help you reflect on the relationships you have in your life. Great writing Nikita Lynette Nichols.......5 stars!!!!
This book was SOOOOOOOOOOOOO Good! From tears to laughter you will go. My eyes stayed bugged out of my head the entire time. The BEST BOOK IN THIS SERIES. I can't wait to see what happens next!!
This installment is a marked change from the first 2. It's really over the top. The First Lady - actually the Bishop and Myrtle also - are showing a remarkable decrease in character. The First Lady's character is contradictory, the Bishop has lost compassion and Myrtle must be in early stages of dementia. First Lady is quite full of herself and her insensitivity to others with her dog is outrageous. This reads like someone else wrote this installment what with all the cursing and name calling. First Lady and Myrtle are not acting like they love each other. What an abrupt change for this series.
I laughed. I cried. But mostly I meditated. So many words of wisdom. It is never too late. For forgiveness, for apologies, for love and for the revelation of secrets. Arykah honored her mother in spite of. Arykah kept her mother warm in her own way. She gave he mother what he mother never had and in the end Arykah's mother, Ariel, gave Arykah' what she needed.
I can not get enough of Lady A. Although most would say she is a little too real to be a “preacher’s wife”, she is classy and does not care what others say. Her heart is pure and she wants to help the masses. If you are looking for a look into the life of a hard working woman who loves her man and ministry you have her, but know she is not taking any “stuff” from anybody including the good Bishop and Mother Myrtle.
Laaaawwwwwd hammercy! Ooh wee, they were doing the most! What's wrong with Gravy? I can't wait to see what happens next, but that Gravy makes me glad I don't know anybody like that. Or rather I'm not close to anyone like that. I just wanted to pray for all them. Then I had to realize it's a book. I get so involved... Oh lort.
I absolutely loved this story!! I couldn't put it down.. There were times that I laughed, got angry, and cried. There must be a sequel to how this story ended!. Please don't let us wait too long for the next book!!(lol).I can't wait. Bravo N. L. N.!!! Keep Lady Elect, and the rest of the crew coming!!!!
I have read all the lady elect series and i must say I enjoyed every one! This book was interesting and a page turner as usual. I hope there is a Lady Elect 4!!
I'm mad at Nikita for playing with my emotions at the end but when I started reading, I couldn't stop. It was a lot and I had a time trying to predict most of it. Live it.
Military Lynnette Nichols never let me down on her books. This book was funny and would have me in tears. I love lady elect, she keeps it real all the time and she has the best heart.
I understand wanting to do a sequel or a series but the gift is for each book in the series to be able to stand alone and leave the reader satisfied. Whether you agree with the ending or not it should feel complete. This book fell short in that area.
I'm speechless. This series gets better with each book. Lady A has been through it. I laughed, cried and just said hmm. I don't want to wait another year to keep reading. Please support this Author, she is writing one helluva series. I wish I could give her TEN STARS.
OMG. This book was so good. I have all of the books in this series and even though I am not a fan of cliffhangers, this is a good one. This book is a great continuation of the Woman's Worth series. You will not be disappointed.
What can I say? Nikita Lynette Nichols can write her but off. I could not put this book down. I have stayed up waaaay past my bed time because I had to know what Lady Arykah was up to. This book beginning so with Bishop and his wife on vacation with friends in Jamaica. And the book takes off from there. I don't want to give too much away but the baby shower Lady Arykah throws for Monique makes me wanna throw a shower for someone to copy the idea. The relationship with Myrtle and Lady Arykah is still as hilarious as ever. But the true theme of this book is friendship, love, and forgiveness. Read the book and you will get what I mean. I can't wait for the next book in the series because you know the story continues.
Early this year, I decide to give this author chance to reading her books. Every her books are good and always makes me happy. Ms. Nikita Lynette Nichols did a good job. I'm happy that she takes her time to write this book. Lady Elect 3 is a good read. You can sing, yell, cry, smile, laugh and relax for this book. This book is also a breathtaking and learning experience. It's well written and page turner.
I'm not going to spoiled this time because I will allow anyone to read this book. The characters are crazy and dramatic. I'll definitely read more books from this author. I want to learn more about Ariel and Mother Myrtle.
I love this novel, I think a true writer is one who can make you fall in love with the characters. You'll wonder what's gonna happen to them next. Lady A is crazy and she don't even try to hide it if you get on her bad side, mother Myrtle crazy too. With team A don't start no mess cause you can get it too! Now I have to say Ariel character really pulled on my heart strings, the forgiveness from Arykah to her mom oh my that had me in tears. Like wait a minute am I crying? Love it, love it, love it. Oh now I really can't wait to read the next book.
This wad a wonderful read. Lady A is woman I would persue whole heartedly because that is who I am in life and I pray it's God will that one day I can be as blessed to do for others in that magnitude as she did. It feels so good to know you helped another person. Now on another note. How you gonna end like that. Mo in the grave with her water broken. Lady A got a brother? Part 4 I trust is in the making. THIS WOULD MAKE AN AWESOME DVD!!!!
Wow…Awesome job on this one. Lady Arykah is a hot mess, but a loving and compassionate woman. Lady A throws Monique a beautiful baby shower that was out of this world. Lady A was a little shocked that someone from her past appears. Awesome, awesome and awesome!!! Lady Arykah and Mother Myrtle are a hot mess, but they love one another so much.
I could hardly stop reading this book. I love Aryka and I pray that the day I have that much money God will give me favor to share it as freely as Aryka. I didn't care for Myrtle at all and her mouth and thinking she could go around hitting folks let me know me and her could not run in the same circles. I'm so waiting for book 5.
