Snowflake Kisses: A Kpop Romance Book

Rate this book
It’s crazy to fall in love so fast.Vee was too sensible to believe in love at first sight. Attractive guys and great personalities did not belong together...until she met Yangbin.Maybe it was his dimples or his broad shoulders, or maybe it was simply that he was adorable. Whatever it was, Yangbin stood out to Vee like no one ever had. She tried to brush him off. Forget about their one meeting and pretend she wouldn't care if she never saw him again, but when he showed up working at the hotel where Vee was spending Christmas vacation, she couldn't help but think fate had played a part. She still didn't want to believe in love, but life had other plans.

Love

This book is amazing. I have fallen in love with the K-Culture and this story was so refreshing. KDrama with a western twist. I hope you write more. Fighting!!!

Honestly I must have gotten the wrong book because there was no Kpop in there, only an over the top cheesy teen romance.

This was a lightweight teen romance. I got a free copy from the author who is part of a Korean drama discussion group I'm in.

First off, I was quite impressed by the author ability to write dialogue. Bad dialogue can really bring a book down quickly but she handled it realistically and well.

The teen plot (teenager discovers that boy at her school is both rich AND in a band!) was nice and not too unrealistic. It could happen! However, I think the combination of modern American teens and the Korean chaebol romance plot (rich guy falls in love with poor girl but they can never be together because of his family!) just doesn't work in American society. Quite frankly, dating isn't so socially stratified in American society and the ability to ruin or pay off someone to keep them away from your kid doesn't work like that here.

However, the plot line of meeting in a neutral zone - on vacation in a hotel, for instance - does work very well. I'd have loved to see that romance back in the real world of school and work. Kind of like in Grease when the summer romance turns into the school romance.

So, if you are interested on pop music and teen romance with a dash of Korean flair - this would be for you. I'd say it would work for pre to younger teens who like to daydream about kpop idols!

This was an enjoyable sweet romance, told through the eyes of 17 year old Vee. As I was reading, I actually believed that it was being told by a 17 year old.

The romance was a bit quick, and the build up to the break up lacked tension due to that speed. Yangbin and Vee didn't really have enough time falling in love for the temporary break up to break my heart with theirs. However, due to the fairy tale setting and feeling to this book, it works.

I would recommend this book to anyone looking for a light read that will leave you with warm fuzzy feelings.

I read the kpop romance books with two filters in place--I ignored the insta-love and the lack of depth--because these are novellas and there just isn't room to develop more here. With those in place, I thoroughly enjoyed them all! They are fun, fluffy beach reads, with a good plot hook to keep me drawn in and characters that felt realistic. Good way to pass the time and indulge in a little kpop wish fulfillment.

Gentle Reader Alert: I found nothing of concern.

I wanted to love this so much, but I was really disappointed by the quality of the writing. There were typos everywhere, which really distracted from the story. Grammar issues, as well, and the characterization and plot didn't capture me either. I'm reading the second one just to give this series one more chance, and the writing seems to be a bit better so far.

Yum! Dimples and K-Pop

This is such an adorable story. It gave me a warm fuzzy feeling inside as I read it. Yangbin was the perfect Prince Charming for Verina. I hope this is the first of many more books from this author.

Super cute book. It's a little bit of a twist on the whole girl falling at the guy's feet story that will make you smile. I love the spunky heroine!

I LOVE EVERYTHING KPOP AND KOREAN/ASIAN DRAMA. I recently read this book Snowflake Kisses: A Kpop Romance Book by Jennie Bennett, and it was a delightful experience overall. This book offers a charming blend of romance and the vibrant world of Kpop, which kept me engaged throughout.

Bennett's writing style is easy to follow, and the story flows smoothly. The characters, particularly the main protagonists, were well-developed and relatable. I enjoyed witnessing their journey as they navigated the complexities of love and the challenges of the Kpop industry.

One aspect that stood out to me was the vivid portrayal of the Kpop scene. Bennett's attention to detail and knowledge of the industry added depth and authenticity to the story. It was evident that the author has a genuine passion for Kpop, and it was a joy to immerse myself in this fascinating world.

The romantic aspect of the story was sweet and heartwarming. The chemistry between the main characters was palpable, and their interactions kept me eagerly turning the pages. The slow-burn romance was well-executed, and I appreciated the development of their relationship over time.

While I thoroughly enjoyed "Snowflake Kisses," there were a few minor aspects that prevented me from giving it a full five-star rating. At times, I felt that certain plot points were predictable, and there were moments where the pacing could have been slightly improved.

Nonetheless, these minor critiques didn't diminish my overall enjoyment of the book. "Snowflake Kisses" is a delightful Kpop romance that will appeal to fans of the genre. Jennie Bennett has crafted a story that captures the magic and excitement of the Kpop world while delivering a heartwarming love story.

I would recommend "Snowflake Kisses: A Kpop Romance Book" to readers seeking a light and entertaining read with a dash of Kpop flair. It is a pleasant escape into a world of music, romance, and dreams, leaving you with a smile on your face.

Well this book was interesting. Lol my boyfriend hates when I say that because usually to him means I hate something or not like it. Well with this it wasn't that I didn't enjoy it or that it wasn't fun...there was just alot of representation between Korean and Egyptian people which was fun as well as Down Syndrome represention which doesnt happen often. However, there wasnt enough of the special needs represention only like one conflict with is a blip, and I hated the main character though she had moments where it was relatable to me there were unrealistic things that happened and the cheese that occurred 😫 happened more often than I wanted. Also at least to me if you advertise k-pop romance put more k-pop scenes dont just put two scenes and call it a k-pop romance!!! Iol also there were several editing errors in the kindle version such as repeating words and spelling errors of important places. Because of this I have to give this a 3 out of 5 stars this is a great goofy novella if thats what you want but if you want an epic contemporary k pop romance this is not.

I really did not enjoy this book and, as is, it is a 1 star book. I'm giving it the second star for potential.

This reads like an outline of a novel. Maybe a first draft, but it's closer to an outline. There are so many typos, wrong words and grammatical errors that it became funny rather than annoying. But more importantly, the language was hinting at emotional development that just wasn't there. I think if this was fleshed out (at least 4 times the length) and we were provided scenes to show us the characters interacting with each other, the basic plot could have made a really good novel. I'm a big fan of fluffy, feel-good romances and this has the potential to be exactly that.

As it is, I read it in about an hour and had no emotional attachment to it at all. But I can see the potential here.

Very short read.
Main Characters a little different background than I'm used to seeing.
Vee is 17 years old, Egyptian and works in a bakery.
Yangbin is Korean plays in a band and work in his fathers hotel.
He has a sister, Eunbin with Down Syndrome.
Setting is New Jersey, but travel to NY, Californian and Korea.

I understand that because its a very short read, the story usually has a very fast pace. I think it was way to fast tho. My brain just couldn't quite catch up. The "I love you" were just to fast even for me.

Sweet, fun, and well-crafted!

This was one of my favorite Kindle Unlimited reads....so much so that I bought my own copy! This is such a sweet, well-crafted read. I'm not a huge K-Pop Fan (yet!) but I loved the role it had in the story and I feel like even those who aren't really into K-Pop can understand and relate to this fantastic and cute romance!

Don't know how much longer this story went.. but at half way point I could no longer subject myself to this teenage love story. As in one would need to be a teenager or preteen to possibly find this storyline remotely decent. Girl meets boy, talks to him for moments and before next random meet up already feels love!?!?

This could have been so much better than it was...
Instalove. They only knew each other for 2-4 days. Then they are just like omg I'm so in love with you...
I like Vee and Yangbin, but they moved way too fast.

I'm glad they decided to marry after a year...

Although, they still should have waited longer...

Short, sweet, cute. This quick read fits the definition of escape. We don't expect the story to be ultra-realistic because we're enjoying the unreality of it. Several giggle-worthy moments added to the fun.

A fun read but a bit cliché here and there. But don't we all need that every now and then? The main character is a klutz which can be cute, but is a bit over the top in this story. I enjoyed reading this story.

I know that fiction books are just that, fiction. But this one was too unrealistic for my taste. The story was cute, but it rapidly became ridiculous.

Totes adorbs. This book was so so sweet. Vee meets Yangbin at a Christmas volunteer opportunity and they hit it off. Then she runs into him again while on vacation over Christmas with her family.
This is a very sweet and naive romance. Like, omg how cute is it that these tiny little kids are in love forever? But it's Christmas and Christmas is magical and so I loved every second of it. OF COURSE they met their soulmate at 18. It's CHRISTMAS.
On a scale of Christmas Cheer I give it a very loud 5/5.

Starting out, I was going to give this a five-star even with the grammar mistakes, but then, she said that being in a wheelchair made her look weak and feel like a grandma. THANKS FOR THAT. Thanks for reminding me that for me WHOLE life I've been going around with every able-bodied person thinking I look like a grandma. Thanks for letting me know this fantasy isn't for me. I'll never read another syllable from this author, ever. Now I'm off to like negative reviews for Me Before You.

Edit: I still don't like the attitude around the wheelchair, but I've come down to earth a little and realized people are allowed to make art without being afraid. It's a good story and introduced me to Vixx.
