18 Essays concerning the life and works of poet Robert Lowell by writers such as Allen Tate, Randall Jarrell, William Carlos Williams, and John Berryman.
While I found the essays overall to give a glimpse here and there into the mind of Robert Lowell, it did not illuminate the specific poetry I had hoped it would reveal. I think the book will be a bit more enlightening the more time I give myself to sink into the diverse works as I am finding them in the "Collected Poems" I am reading right now. So, overall, skip the book unless you have spent some time with his poetry.
