Ich akzeptiere das Ende übrigens nicht. Solange ich keine Leiche sehe, ist auch niemand tot. Also, der eine ist schon tot, da sind Leichenteile durch die Gegend geflogen, ABER NICHT ... SPOILER. Nope, I refuse.

Zum ersten Mal muss ich aber zugeben, dass ich mir dachte: Okay, jetzt ist langsam genug mit neuen Konflikten. Ich liebe, wie groß die Welt ist, und das ist auch durchaus realistisch, aber als dann NOCH ein Feind aufgetaucht ist, der dann auch besiegt worden ist, und das alles auf 100 Seiten, habe ich ein kleines, unzufriedenes Geräusch von mir gegeben. Wir sind jetzt kurz vor dem Ende, und ein biiiiisschen straffen kann man ... schon. :D

Co tu dużo mówić... Zdążyłem się przyzwyczaić do stylu Eriksona i spodziewałem się długiego wstępu (czyt. 200 - 300 stron rozwinięcia akcji), ale przy tej części autor poszedł o krok dalej i cały pierwszy tom (Wymarsz) jest wstępem... w drugim z kolei akcja powoli nabiera tempa, po to tylko, aby ostatecznie doprowadzić do... no właśnie... zawieszenia akcji do następnej części! (Pieprzony cliffhanger!)

Kolejna część, w której nie występuje Ganoes Paran, a mimo to, cały czas odnoszę wrażenie, że jeszcze się pojawi. Pojawia się za to kilku nowych bohaterów - jakby dotychczasowych było za mało... Swoją drogą, zadziwia mnie łatwość z jaką Erikson pozbawia życia całe armie i kolejnych bohaterów (i to nie tylko tych epizodycznych)...

I really don't get all the Dust of Dream hate.
Such an awesome book. Not nearly the best, Malazan has to offer due to some... Erikson-isms that he cranks up to 11 in this one, but apart from that intriguing all the way.
And of course, Malazan delivers with it's insane battle-scenes there in the end.
Erikson really is the absolute master of battles, holy crap. And master of the term "epic" in general.
And of "darkness". Hell this book goes dark...

Honestly can't believe there is only one book left! I'm not ready, aaaah!
