The Names of Jesus are Powerful! There are over 100 names Jesus is given throughout the Scriptures. Each name represents a facet of his character. As Christmas comes upon us we explore twenty of those names as they have to do with this celebratory season.
I downloaded this eBook because it was offered free on Amazon. I thought it would be a nice way to get into the proper Christmas spirit.
I really enjoyed the insights of the contributing writers. The Bible passages they each quoted and the stories and background information they shared were more substantial than most devotionals I have read. It was also good that they explored Scriptures and topics beyond the realm of what you typically hear this time of year. Each devo featured a Bible passage, a personal story, an explanation and then a personal application that encouraged the reader to seriously consider what Christmas is really all about.
About the only thing that was distracting was the number of typos and grammatical errors I found in the publication. Nevertheless, if you can look past these imperfections, this is a nice daily devotional to start three weeks or so before Christmas.
🖋️ As the length of Advent every year is a different number of days, the twenty that is promoted in this book falls a little short, no matter which Advent season it is, in fact. Nonetheless, this is most definitely a feminine view of Jesus and of Advent, and for me, it was meh. 🗑 Other readers may find this book to satisfy their needs. 🟣 Kindle. 🕊️●▬●✿🕊️✿●▬●🕊️
I liked this because it had a theme - the names of Jesus. I particularly enjoyed days 13 and 17. There wasn't too much new material in the book, but it was collated well. Not my absolute favourite Advent read, but more than adequate.
Devotional for the preparation of Christmas. The content was submitted from many people. Its good for morning meditation for the content was not long but deep enough.
