As a woman in a man’s world, firefighter Abrihet has always had to push just a little bit harder, prove just a little bit more. But her special gifts don’t make that any easier. Fire isn’t something she fights, it’s something she controls. And that’s a secret that she doesn’t want getting out. However, when a routine rescue goes south quickly, and Abrihet is literally pulled from the flames into hell, she has no choice but to accept the hand she’s been dealt.

As the heir to the throne of Wraith, Fire Demon Bael was raised to hate Nefas—half-demon, half-human hybrids. But when he’s sent to watch and pass judgment on the daughter of one of his Enforcers, he finds something wholly unexpected. She’s not an abomination. Actually, she might just be his salvation. The challenge will be getting her to accept him and his ways, because as the heir, his world is darker than most.

Despite the odds stacked against them and the unusual circumstances of their meeting, Bael and Abrihet must learn to trust each other and work together. If they don’t, it could mean death for one or both of them. Luckily, their connection is strong, and attraction burns bright. But is the light they share something they can use to fight those who oppose them, or will it consume them both?

Abrihet, a fire fighter, has battled the flames for most of her adult life. Well, perhaps BATTLED is the wrong word... Abrihet could coax the flames, control the flames, speak with the flames. But it was Abrihet's ability that caused her the most pain. Even though she never burned, was never injured by the flames, the fire in her past had exacted a terrible price: the life of her best friend. At eight, Abrihet hadn't realized that not everyone was like her, and had caused her best friend Sara's death...

In an effort to atone for her decades old deadly mistake, Abrihet became a fire fighter, always attempting to save lives and chip away at the never ending guilt of her past. But when Abrihet heard the screams, she is driven to rescue the trapped people inside the inferno... Only to become trapped herself...

Bael is tasked with finding and destroying Abrihet. She is an abomination, a product of forbidden love between a Wraith and a human. But Bael soon discovers she is so much more... She is the prophesied one, his Luxa, his Light; his other half. Now he must find a way to save her... To love her.... To bring forth her Light...

Wonderfully convoluted, this book is a wonderfully compelling page turner. Superbly written, followers of Tigris Eden's literary works will expect stunning characters and brilliant plots, and, despite being different from novels by Ms Eden I've read previously, this book meets expectations.

If you want great interactions and entertainment, this enticing book can be read as a stand alone novel or book 2 of the series.

A story of how a woman will grow to love a demon with whom fate said she is to marry.... even if she didn't know or want it.
Abrihet has always been different ever since growing up. She just didn't know how, till one night she accidently set a forest on fire. She works with the fire  department saving people with her skill, but tries not to be obvious with it. But unknown to her she has been noticed a long time ago... when she was born.
Baelion knows what he sees and he wants her after being told what his fate if too be. Actions of another demon don't help with his decision and puts him in the perfect spot to take her. But in order to fully claim her and his throne, he will have to fight for both. But before that happens can he make her understand she is his, no matter the outcome.

I love the whole perspective behind this story. Abrihet and Bael are one hell of a couple, literally and figuratively. I love how Abrihet accepts Bael true form instead of his pretend human form. The description of hell/ Wraith was epic and the features of the characters. I love this take on the supernatural world. I can't wait to read more about Bael and Abrihet's story and see what other world Ms. Tigris creates.

This not a full length book but the beginning of a new story that lets you lern about Bael and Abrihet. They may be ment for each other there passion will consumes them but there story is not done yet.

This is a wonderful novella! After reading the publishers notes, I thought Consumed to be a different kind of story. I went in with an open mind and was not disappointed.
Bael and Abrihet's story is intriguing and a little twisted from a human's perspective. Consumed is a phenomenal mix of mythology, paranormal, supernatural, fantasy, erotica, and a little horror. The tale introduces demons in a way that makes the reader ponder the things taught about demons. Perhaps the author intends to rid of our biases.
I am looking forward to reading Reign, a full-length novel, which is the next book in the series.

I don't even know where to begin.
I love this book. It sucked me in and left me wanting more. Seriously I wish I could read more.
To have a relationship with fire that no one else has and you didn't know why. To be called from voices from a fire as it directs you to a safe place. That's what Abrihet has. When she cannot escape a bad vote she is taken to the one place that she thinks she belongs for something she could not control as a child. She is rescued by a demon pretending to be her landlord. Bael and Abrihet have a connection neither has ever felt. Together can the fulfill a profecy or will things go wrong. Only the next book can tell us more.
I can't wait to read more.

Firefighter Abrihet is able to control fire and has never been harmed by it. She never knew why. All of that changes one day when she is trapped in a burning building. She is pulled free then passes out. When she comes to, she is in a strange new place. Her rescuer Bael is a fire demon who had been sent to keep an eye on Abrihet. When he discovers she is his mate, he knows he must save her. In Wraith, home of the fire demons, they face political intrigue and treachery. Abrihet and Bael have to fight for their HEA and it is great when it comes. Tigris Eden has tapped into unique mythologies in her world building. I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys paranormal romance.

Bael believes Abrihet is his destiny. Will he be able to convince Abrihet of the same. Read the trials and tribulations they face in getting to know each other.

Abri and Bael are not a couple made in heaven, well.. they are made in hell in the matter of fact. Their meeting was not a love story. Their beginning really rocky. She need to learn as quick as possible rules that rule her new “home”. He need to learn that she is not obedient little half-demon. They need to learn to care for each other and work together. Greater troubles are coming, hard time is ahead, and fire can possibly consume them both.

This is the story of Abrihet and Bael. She has spent her life overcoming the guilt she feels for burning her childhood friend to death. She is now a fire fighter, saving lives. Hot hot hot

I just read Consumed without reading the first book and I was not lost or felt that I was missing something. This book is about my new book boyfriend Brael and Abrihet's story. Abrihet is a half human half fire demon living on earth trying to go through life as normal as she can. She found out eat,y in life that she was different from others and has tried to hide it everyday even though it's hard. Brael is sent on a mission to kill a Nefras, half human half demon, and finds that he can't. What is he to do that he can't fulfill his mission? Will others react hostile if he takes her to his home? Will his father be upset? So many questions but all Brael cares about is Abrihet. Read along to find out if Abri makes it or if she fires out of existence. There's only a couple of times where sex is hot with words and their details but not over the top, it was presented tastefully in my opinion. I can't wait to read more of this series and of this new author to me, Tigris Eden. Great job.

Bael was going to Terra to see if the prophecy would be true about a half Terran, half Wraith Fire Demon ushering in his awakening. Such a female had been born -- Abrihet. And Bael had to go clean up this mess before she got out of control!

Abrihet was in a burning building, listening to the screams of 3 innocent people she was determined to save. She always knew she was different from her fellow firefighters because fire never harmed her. Right now, only she could reach the endangered victims; and as she walked forward, she thought the fire actually parted to let her pass! When she got into the room, it was empty and, as she tried to back out, she fell through the floor. Then a black shape rose up and pulled her into the flames.

Abrihet is a strong, capable woman. With Bael facing his destiny – and his reluctant mate! – they have many issues to overcome. The story is full of action, twists and turns, and suspense. It will definitely hold the reader’s attention! I really enjoyed the book and highly recommend it! I voluntarily read a review copy of this book and my comments reflect my honest opinion.

Well written, vividly graphic, heart grasping, intoxicating and inviting...It's dangerously delicious, fun, yet forbidden and the diversity keeps you on your toes! A must read! - Nook Books and More Blog

Abrihet Is a firefighter which is definitely in a mans world. She's got a lot to deal with to prove herself especially when deep down she knows she's different. She's a kick ass heroine that doesn't care about taking the plunge when needed. She will not let anything stand in her way.

Bael is a fire demon that hates her kind as is sent to take care of that abomination or will he? You'll have to read to find out! He's hot and sexy and knows what he desires. The plot only thickens when she uncovers things that are mind blowing and life changing. A Phenomenal read that pulls at your very core as the plot thickens and twist and turns you do not expect. But it doesn't stop there! There are Hot juicy Demon's and Supernaturals in the mix and it gets steamy! Desires and hotness fly of this page and puts a imprint in your soul fast!

I really enjoyed watching their family dynamics and how they grow. There are many twist and turns in the story. Perhaps the most I've ever seen in a series. Each relationship pulls you in because it's hot yet forbidding and dangerous with some. There's a sense of much darker adventure and things yet to uncover as they are constantly striving to keep her safe.

The twist and turns are phenomenal. I couldn't put it down! Each character comes to life and bleeds off the pages with their own unique style and freshness. The ability to make such diversity in the characters, their abilities, and their characteristics is phenomenal. It definitely keeps you on the edge of your seat.

The authors words flow effortlessly off the page and it's easy to follow. You stay focused throughout the book not getting lost like some authors in their adventure scenes. I loved the different characters and they draw you into their world making you feel as though you are really their. The flow is impeccable and reads smoothly, transitioning one scene to another with no flaws.

I was intrigued until the end. Ms. Eden will keep you on the edge of your seat so be prepared!

This firefighter story is a but different than most, but that's what makes it so good !! Abrihet is a firefighter with soecial abilities, ones that control fire, and get her in a lot if trouble with her Captain. Barl, her supposed landlird is truly a Demon Prince, sent to see if she is a danger to the world. There is bloodshed, intrigue, demobs crawlibg out of the woodwork and all Abrihet has to do is give up her whole life to becone their Queen, that is if she can survive the coming storm of hatred and the one still in the shadows intent on destroying her. This is a short story, setting up for the longer book Reign, which I can't wait to read !! Great lunchtime ir right before bed read. 4.5⭐'s. Tigris Eden has another start to a great series .

About discovering love, inner strength, and acceptance

Abrihet, a firefighter with huge secrets, is “saved” by Bael, an Incaendium class fire demon, from a house fire. As the story progresses more secrets are revealed, danger follows everywhere, and acceptance of the truth is the path to their destiny. Tigris Eden’s Consumed is a soul searching read about discovering love, inner strength, and acceptance. Add some predetermined destiny, otherworldly creatures, and exotic realms and you have the beginnings of a spin off series. It is not necessary to read Affinity prior to reading Consumed.

I received a free copy of the book from the author via Booksprout. I had the opportunity to review or not.

Abri and Bael

Loved this story!! PNR is my first love! Tigris always does it right, in my opinion. ;)
This one was faster paced than I am used to and not as in depth as Tigris usually gets, probably because it's a novella, but it was still very good! She got all points across and I felt the chemistry between them, even if it felt a bit rushed. But, the "world" demanded it. Abri is a strong heroine, even when she's scare. Bael is a fierce demon who stands up for what is his. I am really looking forward to more from them because this does not complete their story.

This book was full of twists and turns. I love how the kick ass heroine wasn't afraid to be herself. The author is brilliant to come up with a unique take on the Supernatural, for lack of a better word. I hope to read more of this world in the future.

Very interesting concept, very cool world. The story itself is very "alpha male" in the telling, so I would have preferred more insight into both of the lead characters. The events and their relationship felt a little abrupt for my taste, especially since everything happened within 2 or 3 days. But the overall story idea kept my attention.
