The Great Adventure Storybook helps students, children, and families learn the Bible together using the same color-coding and chronological approach as the adult Great Adventure Bible Timeline. This beautifully illustrated resource introduces God's love story to children while helping them to understand how the Catholic Church is the body of Christ on Earth and shows them what part they play in God s plan. Build a foundation of faith with your family today!
This is a great way to journey through the Bible and the Story of Salvation with your kids! While it is more geared towards a little older kids, pre-K and 1st grader enjoyed it and learned a lot as well as my 3rd and 5th grader. I love how it tells the Story of Salvation using the Great Adventure Bible Timeline. It incorporates a summary/story of scripture with reference to the chapters in the Bible for further/Scripture reading; notes when each of the 6 covenants of the Bible were established; indicates where portions of the Nicene Creed coincide with the Bible, when a sacrament was established and when a reflection/mystery of the Rosary occurs in scripture. This is a great Bible study to do with kids and also includes some good discussion questions. We really enjoyed doing this study together and will revisit it again in the future as younger kids get older!
I really like this resource for teaching the Bible to kids. It breaks up the main stories of scripture into 24 chapters, perfect for Sunday school or faith formation class. Stories chosen focus on covenants and salvation history. Several supplemental resources (timeline, coloring book, bookmark, memory game and beads) add to the program nicely.
