After her family trip ends up to be her biggest nightmare combined with deepest desire, Lia has to find her place in a world she never imagined to be possible. While she is trying to fit in and connect with the werewolves that have taken her, Lia realizes that tapping into the locked away part of her is more difficult than she thought. And then there is the fact that an unknown and new for her threat is putting her on a leash, when all she wants is to know if her brother and father have survived.
HUNT is a horror/paranormal/erotica story and contains topics that are not suitable for minors or the fainthearted, such as gore, non-con/dub-con, and borderline interaction.
D.S. “Dee” Wrights was born 29th March 1980 in Germany. Her name is a pen name, and she describes writing as her passion and calling. Dee speaks three languages fluently, English, German and Dutch, and some other rudimentary. Although she started writing at an early age and two short stories were published during high school, one as a school project and one in a regional newsletter – Dee never dared of thinking to pursue a writing career. Until she started writing fanfiction and readers encouraged her to publish The Beast And Me as an ebook in May 2014. Dee worked at a publishing house at which she earned insight into the work, process, and production of publishing books. That was the reason why she chose to do all the work herself, apart from proofreading. When talking about her novels, Dee explains that she loves to dive into the mindset of different characters, especially those of villains and anti-heroes. However, in addition to that, she enjoys writing women who start off as weak and grow through their experiences in her books and end up being their own hero.
The question "Why do you want to be my friend?" is meant seriously. If you have more friends than books, or your answer doesn't tell me anything, I most likely won't accept the request.
Hunt is the continuation of Howl from D.S Wright and Lilith Dark. You need to read Howl before you read this book.
Just when you think poor Lia's life couldn't get any more of a nightmare, an unknown threat is out to destroy her. But is this threat really unknown or one she knows too well?
This book was just as shocking and thrilling as the first Howl. Just when you think you know who is friend and who is the enemy, Hunt takes you down a terrifying path that leaves you second guessing what you have learned.
I am loving this story! It is sexually exciting as it is horrific at times. Brace yourself because scenes in this book push your limits of what is raw sexual animal lust with sex and what can be a trigger for others. But you are so enthralled there is no way to put it down even to take a deep breath.
Hunt is a short read that will end with Heir that comes out in March. I can't wait to find out how these authors will get Lia her HEA.
This dark book was incredible, you think you know what is going to happen and then you don't. Liala thinks she knows who she can trust, and she is double crossed. Family, clan, hunters, shifters, the human world is only one small world in this world created by author D.S. Wrights. "Maybe she just can't order me, because I am divine blooded like her. Or maybe shifters can't force their will on each other." "Liala had wanted to be angry at her mother, but now she realized that there was more than even one other side to this story." "Lia couldn't help but think of what they had done earlier that day, and having Rick that close made her heart beat faster and her breath turn shallow as the wetness between her legs increased." Sitting on the edge of my seat waiting for the final book in the Howl Series.
Not for the faint of heart. Be mindful of the warning as this book most certainly contains dark subject matter and potential triggers. That being said...Wow! D.S. really pulled out all the stops with this one. Hunt picks right up where Howl left off and is filled with even more action, intrigue and steam.
Unravel more of the mystery of Liala's life. What's going to happen to the clan now? And where does Nate fit in? Although Liala sees so much more, nothing is as it seams...
This story will suck you in and leave you yearning for more.
I heard this was going to be dark and ooh yes yes it was. I loved it. Especially like in howl the writing. The writing is wonderful. This will have you holding your kindle needing to finish. Loved it even better than howl.
Hunt (Howl #2) by D.S. Wrights & Lilith Dark D.S. Wrights’ and Lilith Dark’s HUNT starts off where book one, HOWL, ended. Lia’s life has been completely turned upside down. She is living a nightmare. She was kidnapped by the werewolves. She does not know if her family and friends are still alive. There are things that happen in this story that are horrendous and could cause triggers for some people. HUNT is suitable for adult audiences that are not fainthearted.
The story is well written and full of surprises and suspense. Lia has no idea whom she can trust. She discovers a lot about her history and those around her. HUNT was darker then HOWL. Some of the things that happened in this story were truly disturbing. I was amazed at Lia’s perseverance. She is a strong heroine that was horribly tortured. I found it unfortunate that it is the children of the leaders in this series are the ones that are brutalized and humiliated. There are several positive things that also happen in this story; it is not all gloom and doom.
I find Nate’s character fascinating. I like him and hate him at the same time. He is a victim of unfortunate circumstances. My emotions are all over the place with him. I’m curious to how his character will develop in the next story.
HUNT by D.S. Wrights & Lilith Dark is an imaginative and dark read. The characters and plot are complex and thought-provoking. I am looking forward to reading the third book in the series, HEIR, expected to be published on March 3, 2017. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
Wow! what a book, a fairly short but a completely addictive and captivating read. This one will definitely keep you on the edge of your seat. Should I have loved this as much as I did? ... probably not !
This book wont be for everybody, it does contains non consensual triggers. However, I loved it, it is amazing, wrong, dirty and hot! Both of these books have a great ending and even though there's no major cliffhanger in either, the story leaves you wanting so much more.
I am loving this series, cannot wait to read the final part.
The series keeps getting better. Hunt picks up right where Howl left off, Lia realizes her mom is in fact not dead she is a werewolf and the Alpha at that. So basically she's been lied to for the last 10 years. And now she knows that she is a werewolf also and the next in line when her mother steps down. Between the hunters, Nate and Rick, Lia does not know who to trust. Will all of them make it out unscathed? Can't wait for Heir!!!!

I'm thoroughly enjoying this series! It's really intriguing and kept me turning the pages. Finally! A book that isn't all roses, peaches and cream! It's dark, so get ready to cringe! Not for the faint-hearted. It has some very lengthy disturbing scenes. This is my favorite story by DS Wrights so far. I can't wait to read how book 3 unfolds. There's so much more to learn! I voluntarily read an advanced reading copy
It's a little short story about a girl learning of her past. A mother that's alive but should be dead. A new world where all is not what it seems. Finding more questions than answers.

D.S. Wrights was born and raised mostly in Germany. She speaks three languages fluently: English, German and Dutch. Her name is a pen name and she describes writing as her passion and calling. Two short stories were published during high school, one as a school project and one in a regional newsletter. Later she worked at a publishing house where she earned insight into the work, process and production of publishing books. In the last few years she has published several fan fictions to which the feedback was overwhelmingly positive. The Beast And Me is her first published novel. D.S. hasn't always written stories like The Beast And Me and she is still writing stories from all kinds of genres that do not have horror aspects or are targeting adults only. Those stories are published with under a different name. So if you like her writing style but not really the genre, you might want to check out her other books, which soon will be published. Her name actually is a play on words and language. D.S. is put together from the initials of her internet name and Wrights simply has the same sound as writes. Before writing she prefers to bring herself in the right mood for the story, listening to specific songs, reading through what she has written before and especially talk about the story with friends and fans. So feel free to write to her.
Absolutely loving this series. D S wrights and Lilith Dark have really stepped up on the second book. Poor Lia. can life get any worse? Yes it can. The story is still building. The suspense is growing. Some things are also not what they seem. Cant wait for book three
I liked this book!! Its almost unbelievable how strong Liala is and how much she sacrifices for her family!! Took me a little while after Howl with reading this but it wont take very long before i am finished with the trilogy!
This series gets better with every book. D.S. Wrights will have you hooked from the start. I am glad that I decided to read this series. I can't wait to read the third book to see what happens next.
Great continuation of this very dark series. The world-building is intense and I have no idea who is friend or for. I cannot wait to see how this concludes.
This book begins to explain more of what happened during book 1, but we also end up with new questions and some unlikely characters have come back from the dead. Lia is in hot water and she experiences pain like never before but someone's a traitor and a surprise character saves her. The book ends on kind of a cliffhanger and makes me want to find out what will happen next. Warning there are some difficult scenes to read in this book including, rape and violence. Again the only thing I didn't like was that the grammar was bad a lot of words were misspelled, having a proofreader who's first language is English would definitely help improve this.
If I could give negative stars I would. This is bad writing, boring, one trope after the other and the worst thing it’s rape not non/dub-con. It’s rape. Just because she likes one of the rapists doesn’t make it non/dub-con for all of them. (And yes we could discuss non-con vs. rape, I know.)
I can’t think of any other book I would recommend less than this one. I wish I could unread it.
