A mysterious house. An old journal. A dusty chest holding more than secrets.

Each talisman found in the chest grants the chosen a gift, a unique ability. But with that power comes a burden—the duty of The Order.

Something is coming.

Something evil.

And it's up to The Order to stop it.

TIMEPIECE - The Talisman Chronicles, Episode 2

Wren Galloway’s not happy that her mother’s vagabond lifestyle lands her in yet another new school, this time in gray and rainy Lamsden, Washington. She’s even less happy when she’s plagued by strange nightmares, sleepwalking, and a feeling that something really weird is going on in the small town.

When she wakes up outside Chloe Blake’s house—a house that’s been front-and-center in her dreams—she starts on a journey that takes her up the stairs to Chloe’s attic, and to a mysterious chest that grants her an unbelievable power.

But power comes with a price, and the question is, will Wren be able to pay it?

That was creepy! And exciting! I was at the edge of my seat—seriously!

I didn't like episode 1 because of the high school themes, and while the characters are still there, it blends better; more focus on the gifts and the darkness. I'm glad I kept reading.

***I read this as part of the entire Talisman Chronicles***

Following on from the first book, Wren is new into town. After Chloe and Miranda become friends with her, and she's having weird dreams about Chloe's house, she begins to embrace her destiny - afterall, that is what it is.

By the end of this book, it's still not completely clear why these things are happening to the teens in their town, but Franklin's effortless writing style makes you want to keep reading until the very end so you have all the answers.

Chloe's vision of a newcomer to town visiting her house has come true, and the chest that never existed has appeared and been opened. The darkness is growing ... Enjoying the story, but a little disappointed that each section is so short.

This second installment of the series really brings the action and foreboding. Where Window focused on Chloe reconnecting with Ethan, Timepiece brings the looming threat to the forefront. My heart was pounding for most of the book.

Wren Galloway is new to Lamsden and not very happy about it. Things start out not so badly, though, as she meets several friendly faces in her first days there. Some of them are a little weird around her, but she thinks nothing of this at first. Until she is attacked on the street one evening, and they suddenly, mysteriously come to her rescue. Wren insists on getting some answers, and Chloe and Miranda try to break it to her gently. Wren’s disbelief and hesitation are apparent, but she is determined to see this through.

I particularly liked TM Franklin’s description of the mysterious chest in the attic and the timepiece, as well as the gift it unlocks in Wren. She has a way of weaving the supernatural into a seemingly ordinary world which makes for a captivating read. I was eager to find out more so am now chomping at the bit to pick up Gauntlet.

I really enjoyed the first book in the series, it was able to let you get to know the characters and understand the window, but this book sucks you in. It starts to show you what is coming their way and makes you not able to stop for even a bathroom break until you are done with it.

I loved getting to meet Wren in this book. She was a nice addition to the series as well as Beck. I feel like the characters are just going to get stronger and make you love them even more as the series continues.

There is definitely some things going on in this book that i don't want to mention due to spoilers, but trust me, something bad is coming. The author sucks you in with the previews you get and you can't help but bite your fingernails as you flip through the pages.

This is definitely a series that will have everyone sucked in and having to know how it ends!

New in town ...again... Wren has enough trouble trying to fit in when she has a dream....
Then part of the dream came true.

This is the next episode of the Talisman Chronicles.

The action will have you on the edge of your seat wanting to know WHAT NEXT?
Looking forward to more .
