Brenda Jackson never disappoints. This book had me smiling and gasping all the way through. It got chills reading how sensual Tyrone was. Thank you Mrs. Jackson for another amazing story.

My thoughts: 23% - This isn't hitting yet. Too much telling and not enough showing.
56% - Something is missing from this story, the characters are stick figures, the steam is routine, and dialogue is bland.
73% - This is boring! 😴 I don't understand how she accomplished this, it's a short story. 😐
This story wasn't good compared to other Brenda Jackson stories and it was boring compared to the over the top poorly written urban fiction junk food that's out there. So I felt it was 2½ stars. Originally I was going to round it down to 2 stars on Goodreads but the ending made me go in the other direction, the ending was cheesy but better than the rest of the story, it was the part about the song that did it for me. The rest I heard before. The sex was going through the motions, the characters were underdeveloped, it felt like this was from a series but it wasn't really so I just don't know these people. Then there was the part that was recycled from Delaney's Desert Sheikh, an entire scene. Snooze. I expect short stories to be fast and fresh but this wasn't that.
Recommend to others?: Nope. I think you'd be better off reading Some Like It Hot, maybe then you'll meet some other characters and this story will make more sense. Since I haven't read it I don't know for sure but that's the closest I got to a series per www.brendajackson.net/series

I wish there was more to read on this couple. The chemistry was perfect, and even though I understand this is a love at first sight story, I wish there were more development for Tyrone and Sydney's relationship. That would let me love the ending more. He went from this will only be a physical relationship to let's just skip the relationship, get married, and you get to move across the country to be with me.
Also, he gave her his home number? Lol this was written in 2017. Were we still giving home phone numbers and not possessing cell phones?
Other than that, this was what I needed to get back into romance novels again. I will be looking for more from this author! 😍

Irresistible Attraction
Another wonderful love story well written by Brenda. I know that anytime I pick up a book written by this author that I will enjoy the story. She writes these type of love stories that everyone wants. Two people who have been in love with each other for a while, but were unable to tell the other what they were truly feeling. One of my most favorite authors That I will never be disappointed when reading her books.

I think Ms Jackson is a good author. This book was lighthearted, but, in my humble opinion, it lacked character development… Just a fun loving sweet story with no real substance. The characters were likable with no major, glaring flaws. There was no conflict with the characters. We really didn’t get to see any other characters but the 2 main characters and the dog.

Tyrone and Sydney found their FOREVERMORE at first sight, a little over a year before their New York fling. I love that, it is the best way to fall in love and be in love forever. Y'all get this book, read this book, and enjoy the journey of love that Mrs. Jackson provided for us. Bravo, Mrs. Jackson!

Sydney and Tyrone had an instant attraction at her brother's wedding. They didn't actually meet and talk until over a year later. They spent three weeks together in what was supposed to be a purely physical affair.
Watching these two fall in love was so good. I really enjoyed this short book.

This was super well written and I enjoyed it a lot. I could definitely feel the chemistry!! This was my first Brenda Jackson read but definitely not my last! 4.5 stars!

Good quick read
I enjoyed the book I just need a little more background before these characters fall in love and get married. I love the hot steamy romance I just need more to make me love the characters . I understand it's a short read but depth is all I'm asking for.
