💥 ராஜ் நாராயண் வெளிநாட்டில் இருந்து தனது மாமா குடும்பத்தை சந்திக்க மரகதலிங்கம் புதூர் என்ற கிராமத்திற்கு வந்தார். அவரின் மகளுக்கும் ராஜுக்கும் ஓருவர் மீது ஒருவருக்கு விருப்பம் இருந்தது. ஆனால் பாரதியின் அப்பா ஜாதகத்தை காரணம் காட்டி திருமணத்திற்கு தடை விதித்தார்.

Sivam Aadhiyum Andanmum illathathu. Aduve Siva ragasiyam. Indira soundarajan written amazingly about Sivam before the beginnings of each chapter. Though we think we know much about Sivam, it is like Ant is trekking Himalayas to find the glory of Sivam. ( This is from the book, which really amazed me).Adhu oru Gambiram, aadhu Yaar, yeen, yepadi endru ketkamal, Sivane endru Summa irupadhu Nallam. Om Namah Shivaya.

Loads of unknown information about Hinduism & Sivan

It was a plethora of information about Sivam & Hinduism. Revealing a piece of information about Sivam at the start of every chapter is really intriguing followed by yet another masterpiece of story telling.

Quite a lot of spelling error makes the book little hard to comprehend the context at times. Except for this, the book is one of the finest with respect to the story & narration.

It was a good thriller story with some expected twist and turn of the events. One another good thing about the book is in the beginning of every chapter information about lord Shiva is quite insightful.

Indira Sowndarajan has 3 or 4 standard templates for his stories.

1. One temple/mountain with some mystery around it.
2. The place must have some valuable statue or jewels or things such as yantra etc
3. A romantic couple
4. Siddhas
5. An atheist
6. A priest
7. Concepts such as yoga, mantra, tantra, vasthu, etc

Do a mix and match. You can almost get all his stories. This story is no different. There is nothing exciting about the story. You can almost guess every scene and plot before it happens. If you are reading this author for the first time, may be you will like it a little. But if you have read a few of his books, this will definitely make you tired and bored.

A very good thriller revolving on the subject of a Shiva temple and the mysteries related to the uncovering of the valuable idols that was hidden long back during mughal invasion. At the end of every chapter, author explains a principle related to Saivism which is extremely good and has deep spiritual content.

Reduced one star due to the numerous spelling mistakes that appears especially in the later part of the book, probably oversight on proof reading.

For me, the starting and the plot explanations were all good. When it comes to serious note and nearing end it looks like author rushed to finish the novel. The pace from the beginning was not maintained till the end. Overall expectation at the end was on hype but ended like low sugar less stronger and warm coffee with more milk.

Like most of the famous novels of Indira Soundarrajan, these too revolves around Saivism. Though not slick like Sivayamayam or Krishnathanthiram, Sivam is still an impressive read

Yet another amazing thriller from Indira sir with a blend of spirituality. The prelude in each chapter is awesome especially the scientific touch to it. Being a big fan of reincarnation genre, I enjoyed the book very much but again it's just not about rebirth - faith, love, suspense, devotion almost all great elements well blended into one big novel.
