Shelby Baskin has it all—a successful law practice, a condo in the Back Bay, a fiancé who adores her. Then she receives a baffling letter from her rich Uncle Abraham, a Holocaust survivor: Only she, he mysteriously proclaims, can prevent a major terrorist attack on Boston.
Working with Homeland Security, Shelby and her fiancé, Bruce Arrujo, race through the streets of Boston, first attempting to stop a Hiroshima-sized Liquified Natural Gas tanker explosion in Boston Harbor, then fighting to prevent a deadly release of anthrax powder at Fenway Park. Yet the terrorists always seem to be one step ahead of them.
Through it all, a question haunts Shelby: Why does Uncle Abraham always seem to be one step ahead of the terrorists?

This is the third and final book of the Boston Law series. I read all three in order (which isn't necessary, but you will probably enjoy it more that way). I really really loved the first two books: Boston Legal and Blood of the Tribe. This one was not nearly as good as the first two. All three books have very complex plots and involve cons, plots, scams and larger criminal enterprises, which the author handles (in the first two books) deftly enough to leave you feeling impressed with his abilities and a little bit smarter for having read them. Unfortunately in this third and final book, the plot didn't make a whole lot of sense. I would have loved to see it come together, to make a 3 book series where they were all worthy of five stars. I do love the authors rich characters, in all three books; they have a very real feel to them. In this book Shelby and Bruce are back; They are really characters that I am going to miss, now that I've finished the series. The main downfall of this book was the introduction of Abraham, Shelby's uncle. He is just a little too omnipotent to be real and he must be certifiably crazy, based on his actions and the ridiculous lack of sense they made. Read the first two. They are wonderful. This one.... not so much.
I never understood why some people call Jewish people names why many don’t like them, why they don’t fight back well it’s their religion their up bringing do not retaliate like the Christian faith turn the other cheek, well that doesn’t happen in this story. There are a number of stories being told here and not all of them are pretty. There is so much going on and lots of clues. A must read I recommend it
As usual a very complex plot for this thriller whose author specialises in. A veritable overturned and even when you think you may have solved the whodunit there's another unexpected twist in the tale. Hugely enjoyable read that I have no reservation in recommending
my original ideas for revue were considerably different! but the ending cleared up the founbts! good read and somewhat enlightening on Jewisj culture! i enjoyed the action and presentation my one question is when did they play the last inning nd the final scpre!??
I have never read any of this author before. I am 2/3 of the way thru The Wrong Abraham and I don't think that I can finish. I cannot deal with Abraham any longer. His behavior and decisions are unactionable. I hate this book. It has been a struggle to even get this far. I am undecided if I will just walk away or somehow, muddle thru it.
This book was filled with many characters who seemingly were unsavory, and with their own intentions. The plot was complicated, but fairly easy to follow, very intense and at times breathtakingly frightening. At times, felt very real with current pulse of our world! Would recommend.
Beautiful, crazy story! The characters are astounding and very well developed. This book is scary because of the possible reality! It's quite a scary world we are living in now, and the hatred shown in this book unfortunately exists among some factions of our society. But, certainly not all! Great read!
Got this as a freebie & I have to say it was one of the better ones, although I did feel that towards the end it was too drawn out & I lost interest as it became too far fetched.
I've had the opportunity to read 3 other of Mr Brody's books in the Westford knight series. I enjoy his work. This story has several plot twists and kept me guessing until the end. I prefer his more historical work.
You need a score card to keep track of all the people and their rolls in this book. This book has a tendency to drag on. Had to force myself to finish it.
