I have read most of the stories in this box set! Here are my reviews:

Seizing Control (1)

Madeline (Lanie) O'Brien was one of the strongest, most resilient, & sometimes stupidest female characters I've read. She goes through a lot in this book & always comes out the other side. Somewhat broken maybe, but not ruined. Some of her early choices really irritated me, but that can be expected of a young girl who has led a sheltered life.

Mikhail (Mik or Mad Dog) Kennedy. I went back & forth with him, as well. He was there to put her back together when she needed him but maybe he wouldn't have had to if he had just manned up to begin with.

All in all, I enjoyed this book & look forward to reading the next book in the series.

Making Choices (2)

I really struggled with how many stars this book deserved from me. In some ways, I felt it only deserved 3, but for other reasons I wanted to give it five. So I guess 4 is a fair number.

I had a very hard time connecting with JJ through a majority of the book. I understood where she was coming from, mostly, but she really made me furious. I absolutely adored Lucas "Timber" Blake & because of that, the attitude that Juliette Patrice has towards him & the club really messed with my enjoyment of the book. Having said that, I'm really glad I stuck it out because I can guarantee it was worth it. The end of this book is absolutely FANTASTIC!!!!! Can't wait to read the next one!!!!!

Seeking Redemption (3)

I a little bit conflicted on this book! While in the end I wanted to give it five stars I think I'm going to have to stick to 4. The author did a great job showing just how badly addiction can screw up, not only the addicts’ life, but the lives of those around them. She also did fantastic about letting the main characters take responsibility for their mistakes. Unfortunately there was just something about this book that I didn't connect with as I have the first two books in the series. Looking forward to the next book in the series! Looking forward to Timber & JJ's story!!

Conquering Circumstances (3.5)

This is a short story about Beast & Wendy. It takes place after book 3. It is beautifully written & poignant. I look forward to seeing where things go from here with these characters!

Tempting Fate (4)

This is the fourth book in the series & things are really getting serious!!!
Can nothing ever go easy for Mad Dog (Mik) & his Angel (Lainey/Maddie)? You would think that now that Mik is home he & Lainey could find some peace. But that isn’t in the cards for these two. Why would it be? Nothing has been easy for either of them since the first night they got together.
Mik is keeping secrets from Lainey & those secrets just might be the death of her. And Lainey isn’t doing much better, she’s got a few secrets of her own. Between that & everything else that is going on with the club, it doesn’t seem like they can get a moment to just be. Something has to give! What will it be?
There are some pretty big secrets revealed in this book, so readers are going to want to make sure they are caught up before they read Tempting Fate. And when you do, hold on for a bumpy ride!!!

Finding Nirvana (5)

What a fantastic end to the Black Shamrocks MC series!!!!

While this is Joel and Sascha's story, it is so much more. Fans of this series have been waiting for a long time to see how Kylie Hillman would would wrap things up. And, IMO, she did a fantastic job. I wasn't far in when I was first in tears and that definitely wasn't the only time I cried in this book. There are many twists and turns but the author keeps things pretty well on track and she manages to tie up a lot of loose ends in this book.

The original download of this book was messed up and it took a while for things to get taken care of, through no fault of the author. It is still listed in Amazon as only 78 pages, but it is, in fact, the full 26 chapters plus the epilogue. It was more than worth the wait!!!!

SOOTHING SUFFERING
I loved this short little novella about Lainey and Mik. Although I read this after the first book (Seizing Control), I loved getting some insight to what they both went through after the whole Brendan ordeal, in both POVs.
I love the true love between these two characters, it is so heart warming with also a rollercoaster of emotions at the same time - my heart breaking for Lainey.
Soothing Suffering is the perfect introductory novella to this series

SEIZING CONTROL
Oh wow, simply amazing! Once I had started this book I could not put it down, I had to see how the story continues (sleeping is overrated anyway). The storyline and characters were just amazing, there was so many funny moments, parts that kept me on the edge of my seat and parts where I found myself yelling at the characters and wanting to throw my book across the room (but I didn’t because it is way too good to damage in any way). It pulled me in right from the first page.

MAKING CHOICES
I absolutely loved Timber in the first Black Shamrocks book and I couldn’t wait to read his story. I was not disappointed, I loved it! For about half the book I hated JJ. There was something about her that made me want to slap her in the face and at times I felt like she didn’t deserve Timber. But towards the end I actually started to feel a connection with her and I felt I kind of understood her a little better. And Timber… wow, who wouldn’t want a guy like him! Absolutely loved his character.

SEEKING REDEMPTION
Kylie Hillman has hit it out of the park again with Benji and Lacey’s story. There was passion, a rollercoaster of emotions and a whole heap of revenge that I just loved right from page one.
These two were insanely perfect for each other. I loved how they had their ups and downs together but also helped bring each other out of their dark days. Benji and Lacey’s interactions with each other and other characters were very well written. I loved those flashback scenes/chapters, giving us readers a chance to understand exactly what they went through especially Lacey. These characters just broke my heart at the same time piecing it back together by the end. (I loved that little reunion with Mik and Maddi!)

CONQUERING CIRCUMSTANCES
A beautiful and emotional short read. I loved getting more insight to the relationship between Wendy and Beast and I can’t to see what else happens with this couple.

TEMPTING FATE
What a crazy ride this story took me on, I loved getting back to Mik and Maddi. Again, it was full of revenge, action, humour, sexy scenes and a bucket load of emotions that had my heart stopping for most of the book. And that ending! I almost didn’t want to finish it just so I don’t know what happens.
Kylie has done another incredible job in the Black Shamrocks MC series. I loved all the surprises and turns that happened which had me on the edge of my seat dying to know the truth. These characters have grabbed me and aren’t letting go, I can’t wait to see what the next story brings.

FINDING NIRVANA
After reading the first chapter my heart stopped and I almost didn’t want to go any further. After falling in love with these books and characters one by one, I didn’t think I’d be able to get further in the story. But needing to know what happens next had me turning pages anyway. This book had me to the edge of my seat, full of emotions and waiting for the next twist to pop up.
Kylie has done a phenomenal job with the last book in the series. It was what I hoped for and then some.
I loved the connection Joel and Sascha had and their interactions right form the beginning. I loved seeing them and the other characters get their happy ending, but it was sad knowing this was pretty much the end.
After reading to the end and the special bonus chapters I had hope there could be more. I’m dying to know what happens next, especially after that ending Kylie gave us. I would love to get more stories about the Black Shamrocks MC, about Matty and Lachie and the next generation.

1 Soothing Suffering

She's been damaged by someone that she should not have been with. He threatened her with destroying her twin, when she she said she was leaving, he had raped and physically abused her.

Now she has to get her head back in the game, try to put those memories aside, concentrating on the good man in front of her, who is ready to do what he must to bring her back from the brink.

2 Seizing Control

So a new man walks into her life, and all should be good. Her twin warns her off him and all her friends desert her. Then he wants to govern what she wears, who she sees and what she thinks!
Yeah, not happening. However, he also has a few tricks up his sleeves to force her into staying.
Boy, you want believe what it takes to get rid of this jerk!

3 Making Choices

So, we now view Timber's attachment to the Princess and to the red headed surgeon.

We learn a lot of why Beast is at loggerheads with Mad Dog, with a few surprises along the way.

4 Seeking Redemption

When you lie and hide your true self away from the ones who love you, it becomes hard to understand who the real you actually is. Then add a layer of drug use, well you definitely don't know who were and who you could be.
Then along comes one person who becomes your saving grace. The one that you realize that a life without would be a living death. That's when you see what your true self looks like, reflecting in her eyes.

5 Conquering Circumstances

There's most likely no person untouched by the Big C. Be it by a family member or loved one, this disease brings the strongest to their knees.

So to find it bringing a family back together, it's not a bad story to read.

6 Tempting Fate

I believe Mad Dog and rest of the Black Shamrock MC members believe that the "Beast" has committed treason and needs to die.
However, there's a lot more to this story and also to what happened in prison with Mad Dog.

The ending to this episode may upset some readers.


7 Finding Nirvana

He never thought he would have a life of his own, not after they had ruined his hands and legs.
He didn't believe that he could get any use from his now dysfunctional body, with physical therapy.
So to ask him to move into this sting, to get his club members more access to the their target, he would have to swallow his pride, and approach the one woman that had caught his eye, since he had been maimed.
However, it was his saving grace!

Kylie Hillman has created a raw, gritty, dark MC romance series of vengeance and revenge. These titles are all about obsession, betrayal, love, secrets, family and loyalty. Each title is full of passion, emotion, and heat.

The Black Shamrocks MC series is full of drama, angst, suspense, violence and intrigue. It may cause triggers for some readers, as there is both physical, and psychological abuse.

The characters are complex, yet endearing. I was compelled with each title to keep reading and read the majority of these titles over the course of forty eight hours, as I found myself completely enthralled

Kylie Hillman is the queen of plot twists, and you can clearly see her development as an author over the course of this series.

I will be eagerly awaiting more from this author, including the prequel series the Black Shamrocks: First Generation. I hope that at some point in the future more books may be written in this series, as there are still several characters that I want to see more of.

Warning, pick this up and be prepared to lose the days and nights reading this series to the exclusion of work, sleep and anything else you usually do. You will find my individual reviews of each book under the books. The series is not for the feint hearted, is very steamy, graphic and contains some horrific violence. That said, none of that is out of place, or used in excess of what is needed to portray the characters and story. The series is told from the point of view of the various characters, with each book concentrating on one couple. But, each book builds on the previous book so read them in order. The treachery, lies and secrets that under lies the series are only revealed in bits and pieces and there's a lot you don't see coming. It's only in the final book that you realise the true depth of feelings which lead to events in the series.

This is the first book in the Black Shamrocks MC series. I am hooked and will definitely be reading the rest of the series.

I really liked Mik. He is your typical alpha biker. He loves hard, but only has the softer side for his old lady. I completely understood how he could blame himself for everything happening to Lainey.

Lainey, or Maddi, I'm on the fence with her. I do feel really bad for what kept happening to her. And that it kept happening. What has me on the fence with her is how she's so strong and will stand up to the brothers, her dad and her blood brothers, but once Brendan is in the picture, she can't. I understand her wanting to take care of her twin brother and protect him, but after what happened on her 18th birthday, I just can't wrap my head around why she didn't tell Beast, her dad. She would have had the entire MC behind her, no matter the consequences to themselves. They would have protected her.

With that said, she did start becoming stronger at the end of the book and I am curious to see where her relationship with Mik ends up. They are kind of on the fence at the end.

This book does have triggers. Just a warning.



Soothing Suffering

This is book 1.5 in the Black Shamrocks MC Series. I didn’t read this one in order. I read it after book four. It’s okay though and didn’t mess with the storyline for me at all.

This is when Lainey gets back with Mik, after her attack. We get in her mind and see how messed up Brendan made her.

I think anyone that went through what she did, would be the same way.

We also see how the cutting started.

Mik absolutely loves her. His guilt is killing him. He’s blaming himself.

This is a good quick read.



Making Choices

This is the second book in the Black Shamrocks MC series. I highly suggest that you read the first book, before reading this one. The main characters are different, but there is continuing story lines. Plus we do get Maddi and Maddog in this book as well.

This is Timber's book. He is the SAA for the MC and he's Maddogs bestfriend. He's grown up in the club, his dad is a member. I love Timber. He is a new book boyfriend, that's for sure.

JJ is a surgeon at her father's hospital. She lets her parents control everything that she does basically. Timber is her hidden secret. Until he's not so hidden anymore.

I do wish that we would have had closure with the whole Ollie situation instead of just a few words about it. I wanted to see Timber lay him out, or heck, even JJ's tiny butt putting him in his place.

Beast, I have no words. You'll see what I mean when you read this book. I was shocked he would do something like that. I can't wait to read the next book to see what will happen with him and with everything going on with Maddog.



Seeking Redemption

This is the third book in the Black Shamrocks MC. You should really read them in order, even though each book has different main characters. They is a storyline that does continue through out the books.

This is Benji's story. We met Benji in the previous books and have seen his downfall. Yes, he's a great footy player, but he has some secrets. They aren't really secrets anymore though. He's a druggie. Plan and simple. He really hits rock bottom in this book. He does redeem himself, a lot, in this book. I really didn't have much hope for him. I honestly thought he would die from an OD. Oh and he's Maddi's twin.

Lacey is Connor's ex old lady. We know all about what happened to Connor in the previous book. Lacey has also hit rock bottom. She's shooting up right along with Benji. They're toxic together.

Both have amends to make.

I'm still waiting to see what will happen with Beast. A lot happened in this book and more of his plans didn't pan out for him. It's not over though.

This is a quick novella about Wendy and Beast. It does need to be read in order, this is book 3.5 in the series.

Wendy goes through a lot in this novella.

Beast steps up, but I still don't like him.

OMG! I don't even know what to say. I need the next book asap!

I knew Beast was up to something after reading the novella before this book. At least he's getting his. And poor Wendy, once she finds everything out.

This is Mad Dog and Maddi as the main characters again. They both have some major issues to deal with from when Mad Dog was locked up. And more shit just keeps piling up on them.

After that epilogue, god, I don't know what to think. I yelled "NOOO!" when I was reading it. It does end in a cliffhanger, but the next novella is coming out soon.

You do need to read this in order, everything has been building up to the ending of this book.


Finding Nirvana

This is the final book in the Black Shamrock MC Series. You really should read them in order because of everything the MC is going through.

This is Joel’s story. His story actually starts in the previous books. You’ll need the background about his injuries due to the Mavericks and the torture they put him through.

Sascha is the main key to the puzzle they are dealing with. She just has no clue about any of it.

I don’t want to say too much and give anything away though.

Questions are answered and secrets are revealed. Revenge is had. But there are deaths. I won’t say who, or how, you just need to read this series.

I do wish that we would have had why Sascha was adopted. Was her adoptive father forced to? Was he being blackmailed by Thomas Taylor? What happened there? That’s the only unanswered questions to this book I have.

It’s a great outlaw MC series.

I couldn’t put it down

This story was written with heart, pulling no punches. A lot of darkness, where good people die, when wicked people betray family for revenge and power. So much pain, so many surprises, throughout the series, along with kidnappings, murder, rape, abuse, corruption, and MC war. This story kept me on an emotional roller coaster and was a binge read for me. All ended with a nice HEA, kinda, leaving much open for the new spin off series.

There's definitely no better way to enjoy this series than by reading this bundle!
This series already had it all and I loved this series from book one Seizing Control until book Finding Nirvana. It was chuck full of passion, and explosive drama. You saw the development of each character and how the story evolved.
Each book added another layer and another dimension to this complex outlaw MC world of the Black Shamrocks.
Add the included Novellas, and you have the perfect solution to enjoying this series. The Novellas give you a different perspective and offer new insight into some of these characters I fell in love with.

This is a great series, it is packed full of Action, drama, suspense and Hot Bikers! While reading this series i laughed, cryed and sat on the edge of my seat. The charcater are fantastic and i love that it is set in Australia! I will definetly be checking out more of Kylie Hilmans work.
